Looks good. I'm getting the PS4 when it comes out so might make this one of my first buys.
I can't help but feel people will be disappointed. Because it always seems like people are disappointed with the games that come out for a new console at the start. Seems like it takes a while for developers to find their mojo with a new system.

It does look great and it's one I want to pick up, but I have a feeling the depth they're promising won't live up to expectations. It'll all be repetitive and everything done by hitting square. I hope I'm being pessimistic and will be proven wrong, I've just fallen into these holes before.

Hem-hem.
I think you'll find I wrote this post on the old forum, not Snake. 😋

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!

This was my main fear for this came and general open world games like Red Dead and Assassin's Creed. It all starts to get repetitive and just turns into one button controlling everything. But I'm hoping for the best.
What do you think about FF 15?

It looks good, from the little they've shown. I'll be picking it up.
I enjoyed XIII though, so you might not want to listen to me.

I don't know if this is the same video that Belly posted but here it is anyways

It looks great and i'm glad i'll be playing it... it looks very different then other sandboxes seeing dude cause a citywide black out was very cool.
i agree about Assassin's Creed games though... they start off pretty good first 2 or 3 hours... then it gets a bit boring especially when you begin to realize you weren't really paying attention to the story... i take back what i said about AC3 though... the first 3 hours sucked and it got better and sucked more... the whole ship wars that was new was the best thing about that game.
I do think GTA:V is going to be worth the wait and be the best of the series.. until 6 comes out next gen and it has like all of the major cities in the series and your like a smuggler or business criminal.. it would be epic... it will probably take 10 years to make but hey i'll play it when i'm 40... 🙁 oldness sucks, but gaining wisdom is good) 🙂

So UniSoft have announced that Watch Dogs has been delayed until the beginning of their financial year, which is April 2014

It's probably for the best... i was looking forward to playing it but i'm cool waiting for it... to be fair they have been showing the same gameplay video demos and saying the same things about the game... almost as if they were expecting it to be great with graphics alone, also the video they showed for the game on 360/ps3 looked kinda meh... not very good character models at all... in the end i think GTA:V scared em a little bit and they already have one game coming out this fall with Assassins Creed IV... i'm sure the game will be good with the extra 6 months added to development time.... its a little werid that they would also delay the game with about a month to go until release.
i have the ps4 watchdogs bundle pre-ordered i was going to cancel it cause i don't have $500 for it anyways... but i'm wondering how they will respond to people who bought that version of the PS4 and now what... you can't just go pre-order a different version now because everything is sold out.
Playing this right now on the 360. not getting a ps4 until my 31st birthday most likely.. only a month or so to go... plus its really the only excuse of the year i have now..
anyways the game is alright on this console... it's like GTAV where you need to install a disc and it comes with a play disc...
the driving so far is awful! if you guys didn't like gta's driving then you won't like this... but there are upgrades so maybe that helps out a bit.. too early to tell.
looks a lot like the real chicago and is just as confusing to get around in that city in the game as it is in real life... at least traffic is light in the game. storms randomly show up out of the blue much like real chicago too.
Doesn't sound like the phenomenon it was hyped up to be. How's the general gameplay? Does hacking basically involve hitting X over and over?

It's too early for me to say that for sure... i noticed online some gamers kinda feel that way and some think it was worth the wait.. i honestly only did the opening mission and just ran around the city exploring... everyone seems to have a story in the game when you hack them... it is infact a one button game but depends on the situation you really need to think fast.. (raising bridges, traffic lights)
It doesn't have that open world living city charm that GTA has... i'll post a bit more hopefully later on today.
Ok, i've played enough of it to give my thoughts... and i find them to be hard to get across... it's a very fun game, there is a lot to do in the game as you don't really find yourself bored.. you just keep going and going... side missions, exploring or main missions... they give you a bunch of stuff to do... some of it is repetitive outside of the main missions but its overall a really fun experience... the world isnt quite as alive as it is in GTA... the driving is still crappy... everything else is alright though... i'd rate the game around a 7 or 8. so its not as good as GTA V or Red Dead Redemption in my opinion but its better then many other open world games out there.
Have you played Sleeping Dogs? I've probably asked before but at 27 the memory is going. I thought that was excellent, but had repetitive side missions. If you have played, are they comparable?

Honestly.. that's the game i think of the most while playing watch dogs, it just seems so much more comparable to that game then any others that i can think of.
I hear you on the memory thing... mine has been slipping a bit over the years...i'm at a point that i don't even know how many or what movies i own anymore.
I'm still not done playing this game, haven't beaten the main story yet, still have like four or five missions left... i really like this game, i think some people are being too harsh on it because it never wound up looking as good as the alpha demo they showed off in 2012... (the video that was posted on the old forum) that and likely because of GTA V, it's hard to be a sandbox game and live up to those standards but once you get over it if you can then this game is solid.. the story is good stuff too.. especially if you are into cyberpunk and technology... the story makes you kinda paranoid at times and you also feel like a creep at times as well... the side missions are repetitive and at the same time different because you usually have different types of enemies or what have you.
a lot of this game is very stealthy also... it's nice to have the choice of being sneaky or having a shoot out and blackout... the gadgets are useful too.
This is one of the first PS4 announced games. The game is Watch Dogs. It's essentially a game with no missions and no objectives. You can walk through the streets and hack into any random person's life and find out everything about them. If you see someone in danger, you can help them or not, if you need to run from the cops, you have more power to do so than you could possible imagine. It's hard to explain, just watch:

The second video is PS4 gameplay.
Watch Dogs is an open world video game in which players control a man named Aiden Pearce (voiced by Noam Jenkins), who can hack into various electronic devices tied to the city's central operating system (ctOS), allowing various methods for the player to solve numerous objectives. Examples include hacking into people's phones to retrieve bank data and steal funds, triggering malfunctions in equipment to distract other characters and hacking into traffic lights to cause collisions. Players can also receive information on civilians via augmented reality feeds, providing the player with information on demographics, health and potential behaviour. Objectives showcased in presentations include finding specific targets to kill, evading the police and following potential victims in order to stop their would-be killers. Combat utilizes a combination of stealth components and parkour, along with the mechanics of a cover-based third-person shooter. The game features an elusive online multiplayer element in which another player can control surveillance cameras in an attempt to hack the main player.
The graphics are just superb. Quality and attention to detail. Superb work
