The Bundesliga highlights show on ITV4 is a really good watch. They had a match between Hamburg & Freiburg from this past week where Freiburgs keeper Oliver Baumann had a day to forget. He made 2 ridiculous blunders and a spillage catch to gift Hamburg all of their goals. Freiburg have yet to win this season.

I won two tickets to Newport v Hartlepool on Friday thanks to Sky Bet. They were giving them away. Not that I follow Newport or the lower leagues, but I haven't been to a football match in so long Im still going.

My question is, has anyone been to their stadium Rodney Parade? And if you have, what's it like there?

Avb was trying to rotate the squad, but the depth isnt there is certain places.

Nope. Giggs is/was more talented. That he can still pick out amazing passes and run the midfield at 40 shows it.

Pires could pick out amazing passes and run midfields too, maybe not at 40. I generally think people underestimate how good Pires was, he's the best winger I've seen in the league apart from Ronaldo. I don't think Giggs would ever shine in a team with Bergkamp, Henry and Viera. Speaking of which I wouldn't even say he was better than Keane, I didn't really see much of Keane in his prime. Same with Giggs when I think about it cos he's 20 years older than me, my main gripe is that people (United fans) act like it's such an outlandish statement and there's no room to argue it, Pires is terribly underrated amongst neutrals.

Pires may be underrated but Giggs isn't overrated. He deserves all the praise he gets and is the most accomplished player in Premier League history.

I always liked Overmars better than Pires.

I'm just old enough to remember Giggs starting out and he's been class since he started.

Overmars was lots of pace and good end product, Pires wasn't has fast but he was silky skillful and had vision to pick out great passes. He didn't win player of the year and had the whole Arsenal team bowing to him if he wasn't a special player.

Being a passenger at United for 20 years is easy, Damien Duff could do what Giggs did. (jk before anyone starts crying)

Already had a similar thought with my son. Arranged for him to start in my Dad's local football team when he's 5... my younger brother played for the same team for ten years and now he's nearly made it in the adult first team who are in the Welsh League Division One and he's just shy of 18, so it's not bad. Who knows? He might even make it professional if he does well here. So if my son could replicate that it would be awesome.
