At the end of last season when it was announced that Hamilton had left McLaren and joined Mercedes, everyone thought it was a huge mistake, but just take a look at the constructors Championship...

I mean, Hamilton has done great in a car that wasn't built for him, as he managed 5 Pole positions and an upset win in Hungary, and with Rosberg helping Mercedes fight into the 2nd spot in the constructors championship rounds off a fabulous season for Mercedes, and next year Hamilton will be racing in a car that is specifically designed around him, which can only be a further improvement.
One of the big surprises of the year comes in the form of Hulkenberg, he has been fantastic and although he is probably number 1 on a lot of teams wishlist, he was going into the last race of the season without a confirmed seat for the 2014 race season... Everything looked set for him to sign for Lotus, however the rumour now is that with Lotus finance deal falling through, Hulkenberg has signed on the dotted line for Force India... And his teammate is rumoured to be Sergio Perez, which will mean Force India have 2 great drivers for the 2014 season
