Brandon ‘Low Ki’ Silvestry who was a former 1-Time ROH Champion and the winner of WWE NXT Season 2 has announced his retirement from professional wrestling. The 34-year-old Brooklyn New York native had recently been touring with All Japan Pro Wrestling prior to being injured in the middle of September. Silvestry announced his retirement back on October 14th stating he was leaving the business due to his frustrations with AJPW not honoring his contract. He was injured while competing for the organization against wrestler Akebono and claims he has not been provided with agreed upon medical care.
Brandon Silvestry spent 15-years inside the squared circle after debuting back in 1998 after being trained by Homicide & Jim Kettner. Throughout his career Silvestry has competed under numerous names including Low Ki, Kaval, Kawal, Loki, Quick Kick and Senshi. In 1998 he started his career with Jersey All Pro Wrestling and was a regular for the company over his first 4-years in the business. The former 3-Time JAPW Champion competed occasionally for the organization up until his retirement announcement. Silvestry had his greatest success while competing for TNA Wrestling where he was a former 3-Time TNA Tag-Team Champion and 2-Time TNA X Division Champion. Competing as both Low Ki and Senshi he had 3-separate stints with the organization from 2002-2004, 2006-2008 and again briefly in 2011.
In 2008 Brandon Silvestry was signed to World Wrestling Entertainment and sent to Florida Championship Wrestling. He had previously worked as an enhancement talent for the WWE in 2001 and reappeared on WWE television in 2010 paired with diva’s Michelle McCool & Layla on Season 2 of WWE NXT. He won the developmental competition and later appeared on Smackdown prior to being released late in the year. Following his departure from the WWE he worked for both EVOLVE and Dragon Gate USA before joining AJPW. Silvestry has been a journeyman wrestler over the years competing for numerous promotions including New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Zero-One, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Mexico’s AAA, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla among others. He was also one of the original founding fathers of Ring Of Honor Wrestling having competed for the organization throughout his career. He was the company’s first ever champion and was a main event talent for the organization when it first started promoting shows in early 2002.

Main Event

Looks more like he had to retire because no-one else wanted to book him. He's been everywhere in the business and burnt every bridge on the way out. He's got a rep of being a dick and believing in his own hype too much. He fucked up his NJPW gig by dressing up as Agent 47 from Hitman with replica silverballers without their permission. He tried to shoot fight an MMA fighter/wrestler in AJPW on his first tour. He blew his WWE gig because he thought he wasn't used properly. He left ROH because wouldn't lose a match. He got laughed out of CZW.....yes CZW because there was a weird spot in a 3-way where there was a triple down, Low Ki who was selling, jumps up, starts going crazy, trying to get all of his moves in. He doesn't stop so security pick him up like he's a little baby and carry him backstage.

He was an entertaining wrestler especially his early ROH & TNA stuff but there's only so far a guy with limited size, charisma & promo skills can go unless he compromises.
