WWE already has an AJ. That big tattoo on his side will have to be covered up.

WWE would probably make them a couple and call them the AJ's.
Or they'd call AJ Styles something like Adrian Jackson.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
I think he's too old to go to the WWE. Is he really gonna through all the development and earning his stripes at 36? Guys like Punk and Danielson are in good positions in WWE because they went at the right time, it's past the right time for AJ.

Has AJ ever had any stints in the WWE? I didn't think so, but I thought there was a chance. Just like a flash in the pan when he was much younger? Maybe?

He had a Heat match, but that's about it.

Yeah, he's 36. He also has three kids, who I'm sure he's enjoying being with for 25 days a month. He's also making decent money in TNA, and I'm not totally sure he'll make the same in WWE at least in the early days. Five years ago, maybe, but now...

I fucking knew it!

I would only accept Air Styles, but then he will be another jobber like Evan Bourne. Or when (if does Evan even work in WWE anymore?) Evan comes back call him Air Bourne and put him with Air Styles. It would be awful.

I doubt they would run him through NXT because he has been on world wide tv for the last 5 years at least. He has name value that is too great to stall in developmental for a year before getting on Raw or Smackdown. As for the two AJ's, Styles has more upside than Lee. Lee will always be a diva in the WWE and they get no respect. It wouldn't surprise me if they took the belt off her, took her off tv, and repackaged her. Then again, it may be wishful thinking on my part. If TNA really wants to keep their only real homemade star, they will give him the belt and make him a good deal to keep him for the rest of his career. It would be a shame to never see AJ vs. Punk or AJ vs. Bryan in WWE but I will be happy if he just gets treated properly in either promotion.

Ken Anderson is apparently in the same situation..
Both parties are negotiating about a new contract and have been doing so for quite a while, but it is coming down to money and TNA are willing to let both go if it is financially difficult to keep hold of them...

If it's between AJ and Anderson, you gotta keep AJ. He is better in every way that matters than Anderson. His only down side is his mic skills but you can overcome that with a mouthpiece. Hell Bret Hart was average at best when it came to mic work but he got better over time and was solid. He didn't have to tell stories, he was straight forward and to the point. If AJ can get that down, he will be golden. Anderson works more of a WWE style anyway and if he came back to the E, he would get huge pop. They would probably bury him but thats beside the point.
Apparently AJ is one of the last few still on an annual salary instead of the new per-appearance deal. I'm guessing he won't want to switch, but he'll have to.

If AJ went to wwe, he could be like the Chris Jehrico of tna. when wcw wasnt using the younger guys right, jehrico left for wwe, and they pushed the hell out of him to get the younger, badly used guys to jump ship.
When Jericho joined WWE he wasnt 36yrs old though...

Excellent point.
On another note, why did Mr. Kennedy get booted from WWE? Drugs? Attitude?
I always enjoyed him overall, and he was even my smackdown character for those championship quests they do.

Orton complained about him being unsafe. He got a lot of bad luck during his time there, the misdiagnosis that had him lose the MITB, the steroid bust after speaking out about steroid use following the Benoit deal, and Cena injuring himself in a match with Kennedy which obviously became Kennedy's fault somehow. In the end he was out of position for an RKO or something and Orton nearly got hurt, bitched about it and the camel's back broke.

Being busted for steroids after speaking out about it isn't bad luck. It hypocrisy poured into a cup of stupidity sprinkled with delusion.

PWInsider reports that AJ Styles and TNA has agreed to a short term contract extension. Styles’ contract was originally set to expire very shortly and both sides were said to be working on a compromise that would keep him with the company.
The report states that no one was able to comment where Styles has agreed to a short term or long term deal, but it’s clear after the events that took place on Thursday’s Impact episode that he will be with the company for a little while longer.

The comment that AJ made last night kinda made me think he is, at the very least, setting himself up to leave soon. He said "I'm better than the best in the world. I'm the Phenomenal AJ Styles." If that isn't a shot at Punk, I don't know what is. I honestly don't see him leaving if he gets a good run on top. On the other hand, I could see them putting Bully over AJ at BFG, if he is leaving, just to strengthen his run and make it a little bit bigger of a rub for the guy who does knock him off for good. However, AJ is the best option they have for this storyline.
"Better than the best" doesn't make any sense. Stupid AJ.

I think he said "better than the 'best in the world.' " Using the term as a nickname. Even so, I really wasn't impressed with the promo. He's just not comfortable with a mic.
AJ Styles is the typical TNA star. He's incredible in the ring, small, and is just not wwe-ready for mic-work. Most of the guys in TNA can out-wrestle 90% of the wwe roster, but are just cruiser-weights (which, most smaller guys ARE better wrestlers than bigger guys, cuz they can't fall back on the 'i'm huge' thing to get them over).
Most tna can cut a promo, but, imo, it just feels forced, every single time. you have to give it to vince, he works on EVERY aspect of being a sports entertainer. Edge & Christian were good in the ring, but never cut a promo as 'the brood.' they worked on mic work, and when they got a chance, BAM, their mic work hit it out of the park. '5 second poses' made me laugh every time. Same with D-Bry, Eddie G., and many others. There have been SOME fails (Benoit, anyone named Hardy, etc), but mainly, wwe works on the talking a lot more than tna.

Maybe in 2006, but in this day and age WWE has better in ring workers than TNA.

AJ's promo was fine, it was just too long. See AJ Styles isn't terrible on the mic, but you have to limit his time on the mic. His stuff was way to long and drawn out, if it was shorter it would've been great. Bully Ray isn't going to keep the title after BFG. They will have the BFG Series winner win the title to strengthen its creditability. I think its between AJ Styles and Magnus on who wins it, personally it probably should be Magnus, who is the closest thing they've had since AJ to being a home grown star. Magnus gets good reactions on almost every broadcast and just looks like a star.. Plus he has crossover appeal to him.

Well unless he goes on a massive run, he hasn't been positioned as one of the favorites for the BFG series. He's been kinda stale for the last couple months and of they are going to do something with him to make him want to stay, now is the time. WWE might show interest in him since he's an indy darling like Punk and Bryan. He's bulked up since his turn and that can only help. As long as he stay AJ Styles in WWE, I'll be happy. Should be interesting.
