Arsenal did something right but they have a long way to go if they wanna go far in this tournament.
I'd say United, Chelsea and City all have a good chance of doing well, but no doubt the Barca's, Real's and Dortmund's will go far too. It could be anyone's but I'll say Madrid will win it this year.

I'd like to say City have a good shot, but they've been so bad in the champions league for the last two years that I'm not so confident. They tend to have a really hard time with foreign teams for some reason.

It will be an achievement for City to just get out of the group stages

True, but I think all their new signings will definitely help them get into the KO stages.

It wont be an english club. I'd be surprised if any english clubs make the semis this year.
Bayern will be good again. Barca will want to challenge, but I think they might be on the downward curve now. Can't see it being Madrid. This season looks pretty open, so it could be a surprise package
Arsenal aren't going to go past the last 16, maybe the quarter finals if we get a good draw (which never happens).
City should do better with Pellegrini than Macini, Mancini was never good in Europe even befoe city. While Pellegrini did well with Malaga last season.

Lol, excuses and optimism like every Spurs fan at the end of the season. Regardless, we'll get through the group stages and lose in the last 16.

You might do, but the worst result for you was Napoli winning as Dortmond will get better. I think you'll go out.
I had Chelsea to go thru, but might have to rethink after tonights result...

Keep telling yourself that, I hope Spurs don't find the away trip to Sheriff Tiraspol too hard of a fixture 🙂.
We beat Marseille yesterday thanks to goals by Ramsey and Walcott. Ramsey is on fire atm, the in form player at Arsenal.

I think you'll go out.
Ok.
Arsenal just beat Napoli 2-0 outclassing them the whole match. We tore them apart in the first half with Ramsey and Ozil showing their best stuff, seriously Ramsey is just as good of a player as Ozil and that's saying a lot. Ozil's goal was beautiful and the play to Giroud goal was breath taking, looks like this team is gonna thrive in Europe. We played like the Arsenal of 2002-2005.

I haven't seen any highlights, but I've listened to talksport on my drive home tonight (after the game had finished) and, credit where it's due, Arse tore apart a team I thought would beat you. Maybe you'll go out in the 2nd round... 😉
I'm still buzzing over yesterdays match, this team has no business being trophyless if we can play like that. If we don't win anything this season it's gonna be really awkward.
I predict both Manchester teams are gonna lose tonight, i'll keep a close eye on City v Bayern.

I know I'm a few days late but did anyone see Bayern tear City apart? It was beautiful, Bayern are a problem.

I did. There was nothing City could do, we were brutally outplayed. City are so used to getting their 65% possession in league games, but it was a total 180 in Europe. We'll be lucky to finish second, but I can see it happening.

I doubt Bayern can play like that every match, it's like they came out to prove a point against one of the best teams in England. Man City should just give up their CL place to Liverpool or Spurs or something, they really don't belong in Europe. Even Chelsea had a few appearances in the competition before getting rich.

Champions League is back tonight! I can't wait for Arsenal v Dortmund in a few hours we're gonna smack those yellow Germans.

Arsenal Dortmund should be great. Could go either way.

So it looks like those cunts beat us 2-1. We really should've beat them but our first half performance was a bit weak and we fell asleep to their counter attack, we were really the better team in the second half but we need pace out in the wings which we were missing. Now Arsenal, Naples and BVB are all on 6 points and it's gonna go to the wire.
Meanwhile at White Hart Lane:

Im staying well away from this as the last time i took the piss out of arsenal u went on a two month winning streak...
Dortmund were more clinical. Thats what matters. They deserved the win. End to end stuff though great match.

Dortmund 0 - 1 Arsenal
There were other games on too.

Finally a thread where Hilds can't bring up Tottenham.
Arsenal just got through to the group stages of the CL (one leg to go but 3-0 away from home, come on), don't really care about the other matches to be honest.
So who's everyone predicting this year? I think it's been too long since Barca last won it so I got my money on them.
