4CW Presents… Storm Front: Declaration
February 28, 2021
Live from Toyota Centre - Dallas, Texas

”Declaration” by Killswitch Engage plays through the arena as we open the show with a quick video package showing the history of the Stormchaser Tournament. Brian White beat Eddie Wolfbaine in the inaugural 2017 tournament. The 2019 tournament was won by Jack Valentine, who beat Tommy Young in the final. Now, it’s 2021, the third Stormchaser Tournament… with the winner facing Jack Valentine in the Revival main event for the 4CW World Championship! We pan to the crowd who are fired up and ready to go. The voice of 4CW introduces us to the show.

Phoenix: Ladies, gentlemen and people of all ages, WELCOME to 4CW Storm Front: Declaration! I am Scott Phoenix, joined by my ever-present commentary partners, Ray Jeffrey and James Roberts!
Jeffrey: How the hell are ya, Scott?
Phoenix: I have no complaints. Yourself?
Jeffrey: You know me, Scott! I’m raring to go! Tonight, we have TEN matches rammed into a two hour show! We’d better not waste any time!
Roberts: Well, I think we should at least introduce me--
Jeffrey: LET’S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!!

The camera cuts to Michael Carson standing in the middle of the ring.

Carson: The following contest is a FIRST ROUND match in the 2021 Stormchaser Tournament!

”Numb” by Linkin Park hits the PA system. The crowd breaks out in boos to open the show as the former Custom Cup Champion and Lightning in the Bottle holder steps out on stage.

Carson: Introducing first, from Helston, England… weighing in at 14 stone… he is THE MAN WHO ONCE MADE A COW TAP OUT … PHIL … MCGROOOOIN!!

Phil McGroin saunters down to the ring, with Camera Man in tow, getting all the best shots.

Phoenix: What can we say about Phil McGroin? He had an amazing 2020, from holding the 4CW Custom Cup Title for the majority of the year and winning the Lightning in the Bottle match which earned him a World Title opportunity, he did it all! The only regret he probably has is not capturing the 4CW World Title, but winning the tournament tonight would put him on track to set that right!
Jeffrey: And it should be noted that Jack Valentine has never pinned Phil McGroin, technically speaking.

McGroin rolls into the ring and takes his place in his corner. Then, ”Good Times” by Finger Eleven hits the PA system. Supreme steps out on stage and gets some cheers over Phil McGroin. He marches down to the ring, confident and on a mission.

Carson: And his opponent, from Supremeville, USA, weighing in at 240lbs… he is a 4CW Grand Slam Champion and 4CW HALL OF FAMER …. SUPREEEEME!!

Phoenix: A seventeen-year veteran of 4CW, there really isn’t anything Supreme hasn’t done… except win this tournament! Not only that, the last time he held the 4CW World Championship was sixteen years ago… he’s waited a long time to get that title back! Tonight could be the night he gets himself the best opportunity to do exactly that!
Roberts: Supreme certainly has to be a favourite in this tournament! He’s beaten everybody and anybody. Supreme isn’t just a catchy name: he IS Supreme, in every sense of the word!

Supreme gets into the ring. The referee, Jude O’Cater, does his pre-match checks, then calls for the bell!

1.png

McGroin and Supreme lock up in the middle of the ring. Supreme wins out and puts McGroin in a side headlock. McGroin pushes Supreme away to the ropes, but Supreme takes him down with a shoulder block on his return. McGroin jumps back up and Supreme sends him to the ropes, taking him down with a clothesline on the rebound. Supreme makes a quick cover, but McGroin kicks out at one. McGroin jumps to his feet and locks up with Supreme again. This time, McGroin stomp’s on Supreme’s right foot, then hooks him up for a suplex! Quick cover, but McGroin only gets a two count!

Phoenix: McGroin resorting to underhand tactics to get the advantage.
Jeffrey: You say underhand, I say smart.

McGroin picks up Supreme and whips him into the corner. When McGroin charges at Supreme, Supreme lifts a boot which hits McGroin and rocks him. He then lunges forward, scoops up McGroin and hits a belly-to-belly suplex! Cover! ONE … TWO … kickout! Supreme continues his attack by picking up McGroin and hitting a standard suplex. McGroin is quick to get back to his feet, but eats a dropkick from the Hall of Famer. Supreme then heads towards the corner and climbs the turnbuckle!

Roberts: Supreme is going up top! What does he have planned?

Supreme dives off the top rope with a diving clothesline, but McGroin rolls out of the way. Supreme lands smoothly and spins around only to walk right into a hip toss! McGroin follows this up with a dropkick of his own and makes a cover! ONE … TWO … kickout! The two men get back up and charge at each other. McGroin ducks a clothesline from Supreme, goes to the ropes, comes back behind Supreme and takes his knee out with a chop block!

Phoenix: Supreme kept his eye off McGroin for one second and paid the price!

McGroin starts stomping at the knee as Supreme writhes around trying to escape. Supreme hobbles to his feet, but McGroin is ready and takes him out with a swinging neckbreaker! This time, McGroin looks to the corner… then he heads over and starts to climb! McGroin doesn’t look back as he dives off with a swift and beautiful moonsault! McGroin hooks the leg! ONE … TWO … NO! Supreme kicks out!

Phoenix: A nice combo from McGroin but it isn’t enough to get him the victory!
Jeffrey: But now McGroin is in control of this match!

McGroin rolls out of the ring, pulling the downed Supreme towards the ring post by his leg. Then, he swings the leg across the ring post, smashing the knee! Supreme howls as McGroin rolls back into the ring. He grabs Supreme’s hurt leg and DDT’s it on the mat!

McGroin picks up Supreme, but the Hall of Famer pushes him away. Supreme tries to move forward for an attack but his knee gives out and McGroin takes advantage with another swinging neckbreaker! He hooks the leg! ONE … TWO … NO!! Kickout from Supreme!

Phoenix: Supreme is in trouble here with that knee - but he’s not giving up without a fight!
Jeffrey: And McGroin has no issues bringing that fight to him!

McGroin picks up Supreme and half-whips, half-throws him into the corner. McGroin unleashed a few knife edge chops, but Supreme suddenly comes to life, reversing so that McGroin is in the corner and unleashing a flurry of his own chops! Supreme limps backwards as McGroin comes out of the corner, then surges forward and hits the Supreme Annoyance Roaring Elbow!

Phoenix: BAM! Supreme Annoyance!
Roberts: That’s why Supreme is so dangerous! He can pull off a thunderous strike out of nowhere!

Supreme falls on top of McGroin for the cover! ONE .. TWO … NO! McGroin kicks out!

Supreme gets back up, ignoring the pain in his knee, and sets up McGroin for a Fisherman’s Suplex. Hooking the leg, he executes it perfectly!

Phoenix: And there’s the Supreme Compromise! Surely now Supreme has it!

Supreme hooks the leg! ONE … TWO … NO! McGroin kicks out again!

Jeffrey: McGroin isn’t out of this, no way! This man once made a cow tap out! A COW!
Roberts: Big him up all you will, Supreme is raring to go and looks ready to end this!

Supreme has indeed grabbed McGroin and lifted him back up, throwing him into the corner. He hits a few shoulder barges to the ribs, then moves behind McGroin and lifts himself up on the top buckle. Supreme grabs McGroin and sets him up for Supreme Impact - but McGroin breaks free, spins around, and shoves his boot right into the knee of Supreme! Supreme screams and clutches his knee, and McGroin jumps up top, grabbing Supreme - and hitting the EGGCUTION DDT FROM THE TOP ROPE!! McGroin rolls over and covers Supreme! ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner and advancing to the semi finals… PHIL … MCGROIN!!

Win-Loss Records:
Phil McGroin 1-0
Supreme 2-1

Phoenix: A big upset tonight as Phil McGroin takes it!
Jeffrey: Is it an upset? Phil McGroin constantly proves he is able to compete here in 4CW!
Roberts: A win of this calibre could be exactly the momentum McGroin needs to win this whole thing! What a match!
Phoenix: McGroin is through to the semi finals!

Phil McGroin heads up the ramp, using Camera Man as a walking stick. He looks pleased with himself as we cut backstage to find Rhys Cain in the locker room with the entirety of The Black Flame.

Cain: Well, we’ve seen the draw. Eli, Erica and myself will represent The Black Flame in the tournament tonight. Eli, you’ve got Witch Hazel. Don’t underestimate her.

Waters nods firmly.

Waters: Gotcha.

Cain: And Erica, it looks like we’re going one on one in the first round.
Moxie: Looks like we are.

There’s a moment of tension. Cain breaks it with a smile.

Cain: Let’s go out there and show the world why The Black Flame is the best damn group of wrestlers in the world.
Moxie: Damn right. May the best competitor win.

Moxie offers her hand. Cain shakes it and leans in.

Cain: Oh, don’t worry. I will.

Phoenix: A clash of the ages between two of The Black Flame’s senior members! It’s Cain vs Moxie, Round One of the Stormchaser Tournament - and it’s NEXT!!

==

Carson: The following contest is a FIRST ROUND match of the 2021 Stormchaser Tournament!

”Antivist” by Bring Me The Horizon hits the PA system. The crowd boo as Erica Moxie steps out on stage. She looks fired up and ready to go, her hair soaking wet and her face wild. The thumping theme music keeps her motivated as she marches down the ramp.

Carson: Introducing first, from Omaha, Nebraska, weighing in at 147lbs… ERICAAAAA … MOXIE!!

Phoenix: What a test this is tonight for Erica Moxie! She goes one on one with her mentor and leader, Rhys Cain. If she could somehow pull off a victory, it would no doubt be the biggest of her career!
Jeffrey: And as motivated and hyped up as she looks, that’s no small feat! That’s a big ask from someone who hasn’t got the best win-loss record in recent times!

Moxie rolls into the ring and stands in her preferred corner, squatting down and awaiting her opponent.

”As I Am” by Dream Theatre hits the PA system. The boos increase tenfold as the Hall of Famer and leader of The Black Flame steps out onto the stage. Black flames shoot up on the tron and LED boards, with smoke enveloping the stage and ramp.

Carson: And her opponent, from THE SCORCHED PATH … weighing in at 230lbs, 4CW Hall of Famer… THE BLACK FLAME … RHYS … CAAAAIN!!

Phoenix: And here he comes. Rhys Cain - the man who has been trying for months now to capture the 4CW World Championship for the third time. He competed in the WAR match for the title last December and in January, he was unsuccessful in a one on one match with Valentine - but winning this tournament is his opportunity to get another shot on the biggest stage possible!
Jeffrey: And Cain is no stranger to winning tournaments, having won the 2013 4CW World Championship Tournament and the 2016 Soul Survivor. He’s also no stranger to Revival main events, having headlined Revival in 2014 and 2017!
Roberts: In many ways, Rhys Cain could be considered the favourite to win this whole thing!

Cain enters the ring and stares down his opponent and protege. They shake hands in the middle of the ring, then the referee Jason Trent does his pre-match checks before calling for the bell.

2.png

Cain and Moxie lock up in the middle of the ring. Cain transitions into a side headlock. Moxie tries to push out of Cain’s grip, but he holds firm. Cain eventually whips Moxie to the ropes and takes her down with a clothesline upon her return, before getting down on the mat and locking in another headlock. Cain applies pressure and Moxie starts to lose consciousness, drifting away… but then she gets a second wind and finds herself back on her feet. A few sharp elbows to the gut of Cain separates them, and Moxie sends Cain to the ropes. Cain comes back - and takes out Moxie with a dropkick! Quick cover! 1… kickout from Moxie!

Moxie rolls over and forces herself back to her feet. Cain doesn’t allow her a chance to think on her next move though, whipping her to the ropes. Cain chases after her and takes her out with a corner clothesline. He then runs back and comes for another clothesline, but Moxie gets a boot up and catches him in the mouth. Moxie hoists herself up on the second rope, and takes down Cain with an assisted hurricanrana! Cover! 1...2… kickout from Cain!

The two of them are quick to their feet again. Moxie tries a DDT - Cain spins out of her grasp, sends Moxie to the ropes. Moxie comes back with a clothesline which Cain ducks. Moxie stops in her tracks and spins on the spot, walking right into a Side Effect from Cain! Cover! ONE … TWO … kickout!

Phoenix: Moxie is trying here, but Cain knows her so well he’s beating her to the punch every time!
Roberts: Moxie is going to have to pull something unexpected out of the bag!

Cain turns Moxie over and locks her in a bow and arrow lock from behind, contorting her arms back into a painful position while drilling his knee into her back. Once again, she hypes herself up and starts to fight back - but as she breaks free, Cain kicks her in the gut and hits a DDT! Another cover! ONE … TWO … NO! Moxie kicks out!

Jeffrey: Once again, Cain has Moxie well-scouted!

As Cain pulls Moxie up to her feet, she surprises him by fighting back quickly and viciously, cornering him with a flurry of left and right hands. She then breaks into a step-combo of chop, punch, chop, punch, chop, punch! Cain stumbles out of the corner, trying to get some distance between him and Miss Moxie, but she takes him down with a bulldog! Cover! ONE … TWO … NO! Cain kicks out!

Moxie jumps to her feet and charges towards the corner, climbing the turnbuckle all the way to the top. She jumps off and hits a Moxie-Go-Round senton, taking out her mentor! Another cover! ONE … TWO … NO! Another kickout! Moxie gets to her feet and signals for the end by doing a ‘cutthroat’ motion. Moxie picks up Cain and hooks him up for the Moxie Massacre DDT!

But no! Cain slips out of her grasp! Cain sets up Moxie for an Avada Kedavra, but she throws an elbow into his temple. Cain separates and Moxie rolls him up! ONE … TWO … NO, CAIN REVERSES THE PIN! ONE … TWO …. MOXIE RE-REVERSES THE PIN! ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner, advancing to the semi finals …. ERICAAAAAA … MOXIE!!

Win-Loss Records:
Erica Moxie 1-0
Rhys Cain 1-2

Phoenix: HA! I can’t believe it! She did it! Moxie did it!
Jeffrey: Wow, and we thought McGroin beating Supreme was an upset? This is HUGE for Moxie!
Roberts: Erica Moxie is one step closer to becoming the Revival main event! And after a win against Rhys Cain in the first round, she couldn’t have gotten off to a stronger start!

Inside the ring, Cain looks stunned as there’s a massive pop from the crowd. Moxie stands up as her music blasts through the speakers. She wastes no time in offering Cain a hand and hoisting him up to his feet. She then leans in, and says some things. While we can’t hear most of it, phrases like “thank you for this opportunity,” and “it was an honour to share the ring with you,” are definitely heard.

Cain’s face is unreadable as it still wears a vacant stunned look. Then, suddenly, he breaks out of his stupor. He meets Moxie’s eye… and pats her on the shoulder.

Cain: Congratulations… excuse me.

Cain quickly, but respectfully, rolls out of the ring and walks up the ramp.

Phoenix: Well, it’s obvious that Cain isn’t happy about losing his place in this tournament… but he has trained Moxie, and took her under his wing, and she is directly a product of his mentorship. So, a deeper part of him must be proud of Moxie right now.
Roberts: And why wouldn’t he be? The Black Flame may not be the most hospitable people, but from an outside perspective, this is really great seeing Moxie evolve from where she was when she joined Cain to where she is now.
Phoenix: Now the real question is, can she complete this impossible dream and win the whole thing? We know that she will face Phil McGroin in the semi final… and that will be a tough opponent for her to overcome!

Inside the ring, Moxie celebrates her victory as the crowd cheers (because anyone beating Cain is a cause for a 4CW crowd to cheer) and her music blares. We cut to a break.

Camera fades in to the backstage interview area, the smiling face of Gabriel Crowe, front and centre.

Crowe: Joining me at this time, Brian 'The Freight Train' White! A couple of weeks ago, you and Miss Teri had your wedding here at 4CW Cupid's Chaos, only to be attacked by the 4CW World Heavyweight Champion, Jack 'Mad Dog' Valentine. Do you have anything to say to the champion?

White: Why yes, Gabriel, I do... Geez, what a stupid question! Honestly...

White faces the camera, deciding to ignore the strained smile now adorning 4CW's veteran interviewer.

White: I don't know what your problem is Valentine, but you're gonna regret what you pulled two weeks ago at Cupid's Chaos! If your intention was to rattle me for this tournament so I would lose, you just gave me the perfect reason to win, not only for the opportunity to headline Revival again, but to beat you to within an inch of your life! And you should be glad it's only me who's gonna be able to get my hands on ya. If it was Teri, well, she'd rip your testicles off and feed them to ya after what happened! So, you get lots of rest, Jackie, you're gonna fuckin' need it!

And with a glower at Crowe, White heads off towards the gorilla position, and his first match. When we return to the arena, Carson introduces the next match.

Carson: The following contest is a FIRST ROUND match of the 2021 Stormchaser Tournament!

”Aces High'' by Iron Maiden hits the PA system. One half of Run ‘N’ Gun steps out on to the stage, absorbing the cheers from the crowd as he stands on the stage.

Carson: Introducing first, from Barry, South Wales, weighing in at 195lbs… TOP GUN… TOMMMMYYYYY … YOUNG!!

Phoenix: Such is the nature of this tournament that anyone could be drawn against anyone! We saw it in the last match with Rhys Cain and Erica Moxie and again in this one as Tommy Young has to topple The Freight Train and his long time partner Brian White if he wants to advance past this first round!
Jeffrey: And you could argue that no two people know each other better in 4CW than White and Young, so this will be a very interesting match up!
Roberts: And you know after Cupid’s Chaos, both White and Young would love to earn a shot at getting their hands on Valentine!

”Wherever I May Roam” by Yashin hits the PA system. The crowd continue cheering as The Freight Train dominates the stage with his sheer size.

Carson: And his opponent, from Barry, South Wales… weighing in at 385lbs… 4CW Hall of Famer… BRIAN … THE FREIGHT TRAAAAAAAIN … WHITE!!

Phoenix: Here comes Brian White! Former 4CW World Champion, former Universal Champion, former Tag Team Champion. Hall of Famer. He has all these achievements but I guarantee you, given the personal stakes, he considers winning this tournament the most important of his career.
Roberts: White can get his one-way ticket to the Revival main event and not only get his hands on Jack Valentine, but challenge for the 4CW World Championship, which he hasn’t held for almost four years!
Jeffrey: But Young has never held the title! So really, it’s a question as old as time: who wants it most? We’re about to find out!

Inside the ring, referee Jason Trent does his pre-match checks and calls for the bell.

3.png

White and Young shake hands in the middle of the ring and then begin to circle each other. Young clearly has no intention of getting into a lock up with Brian, and instead ducks under an attempt at a strike, runs to the ropes, comes back with breakneck speed and clotheslines Brian - who doesn’t budge. Not giving up, Young runs to the ropes again and once again meets an immovable object in White. A third time Young runs to the ropes, and instead of a clothesline, he jumps into a running dropkick, which does cause White to stumble backwards and fall to one knee. Young gets back up to his feet and hits an Enziguri! Young wastes no time jumping back to his feet and running to the ropes again, but we never see what move he was planning to hit, as on his return, White gets back to his feet, grabs Young into a hug, and hits a belly-to-belly suplex with aplomb!

Phoenix: And best friends as these two may be, they are holding nothing back!
Jeffrey: They both know what the other one is going to do, and they both know the other one’s weaknesses. So it’s just a case of who can take advantage of that knowledge first!

Having taken control of the match, White picks up Young and hooks him into a snap suplex and executes it with power. He then picks Young right back up and hits him with a Fallaway Slam! White moves over and makes the cover! ONE … TWO … no! Young kicks out! White continues to dominate with a body slam and a spinebuster in the next minute, but only gets another two count after a cover.

Phoenix: White is absolutely dominating right now - but you have to respect Young’s toughness in this match!

White whips Young into the corner and continues the mauling of his protege with a Stinger Splash! Young tumbles out of the corner right into a belly-to-belly suplex! White then charges at Young and takes him out with the Runaway Train!

Phoenix: Wow! Pure domination by Brian White!
Roberts: This has to be over!

White hooks the leg! ONE … TWO … THRE--NO!! YOUNG KICKS OUT!!

Jeffrey: WOW!
Phoenix: Top Gun kicks out! Amazing resilience! I was certain it was over!

White sets up for a second Runaway Train! He poses as he waits for Young to crawl up to his knees then stumble to his feet! White breaks into a run - but Young reverses with a dropkick that White charges face-first into!

Phoenix: Ouch!
Roberts: He’ll feel that in the morning!

Young uses the ropes to pull himself back to his feet while White reels on the mat, holding his left eye. Young eyes the turnbuckle and climbs to the top!

Phoenix: Could we be about to see Bombs Away?!

Young signals for the eponymous senton bomb and dives off, flipping in the air! White rolls away from the impact zone and Young crashes hard! Clutching his back, Young stumbles to his feet, doing a fair impression of Myback, but walks right into ANOTHER Runaway Train from White! White covers his protege for the definitive ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner, advancing to the semi finals, BRIAN … THE FREIGHT TRAAAAAIN … WHITE!!

Win-Loss Records:
Brian White 2-0
Tommy Young 0-2

Phoenix: A very solid victory for Brian White! He has surpassed his protege and advanced to the semi finals, where he will face either Witch Hazel or Eli Waters!
Jeffrey: And the other semi final, Phil McGroin vs Erica Moxie is all set too! This is shaping up to be one hell of a tournament.

White celebrates as we cut to a break.

==

Carson: The following contest is a TABLES match and is Match Five of the Best of Seven Series! The first person to put their opponent through a table will be the winner!

”Creatures of Habit” by Polaris hits the PA system. The crowd, now starting to recognise the tune as the arrival of one of their new favorites, starts to cheer as “Full Gear” Lindon Jett steps out through the curtain.

Carson: Introducing first, from Brisbane, Australia, weighing in at 247lbs … FULL GEAR … LINDOOOOON … JETT!!

Phoenix: Lindon Jett started strong, winning the Hardcore match and the submission mastch that started this series, but since then he has lost a two out of three falls match and a steel cage match against his opponent. Tonight, it’s a Tables match!
Jeffrey: And Jett has to ensure that he doesn’t lose all that momentum from his good start to this series. Going behind tonight could be a disaster for him mentally.

”Into Nothing” by Bleed From Within hits the PA system. The crowd boo as The Red Rhino steps out on stage. Wearing his signature red-and-white trunks he marches confidently to the ring, not taking his eye off Jett, who is fired up and waiting inside the ring. A few tables are set up around ringside.

Carson: And his opponent, from Charlton, England, weighing in at 260lbs … THE RED RHINO … GRANT … ZAAAAIDEN!!

Phoenix: And Zaiden promised after losing the first two matches of this series he would never lose to Jett again - so far, he’s kept good on that promise.
Roberts: If he can win again tonight, he will lead the series for the first time, and that would be a massive confidence booster for him.

Zaiden gets into the ring and looks ready to go. Jude O’Cater does his last minute pre-match checks and then calls for the bell!

4.png

Immediately, Jett and Zaiden launch into each other, clashing in the middle of the ring with a flurry of blows, lefts and rights flying from all angles. Jett gains the advantage and socks Zaiden, who falls back into the ropes! Jett then runs over and clotheslines Zaiden to the outside, sending him crashing to the ringside floor.

Wasting no time, Jett runs to the ropes and comes back with some speed, diving between the ropes and taking out Zaiden on the outside with a suicide dive!

Phoenix: And clearly it’s balls to the walls here tonight! No time wasted getting this one fired up!

On the outside, Jett picks up Zaiden and whips him into the steel steps, which implode upon impact. Jett throws Zaiden back into the ring, and then slides a table in and rolls in too. Jett stomps Zaiden a few times to keep him on the ground, then sets up the table so that it is leaning up against the turnbuckle.

Jett then approaches Zaiden and yanks him up to his feet. Jett grabs Zaiden firmly and tries to whip him into the table-clad corner, but Zaiden stops him, reverses the momentum and scoops up Jett for a swinging seated side slam!

Phoenix: See You Down The Road! What a slam!

Zaiden rolls away and back up to his feet, taking a moment to decide his next move. Then, as Jett is getting back to his feet slowly, Zaiden pounces. He sets up Jett, then lifts him and hits a powerbomb! Zaiden rolls out of the ring, slides in another table, and rolls back in. He takes the table and kicks out the legs, setting it up properly in the middle of the ring. Zaiden picks up Jett, who fights back with an elbow to the side of the head!

Roberts: There’s life in Jett yet!

Jett grabs The Red Rhino and hooks him up for a suplex. He positions him in front of the table and lifts Zaiden into the air - but Zaiden fights back, landing on him feet, flipping around Jett and lifting him into the air! But before Zaiden can smash him through the table, Jett also lands back on his feet. He grabs Zaiden and drills him into the mat with a DDT!

Phoenix: Both men were just in perilous danger! You go through a table and it’s all over!

Jett picks up Zaiden, throwing punches and elbows and whatever else he can to keep Zaiden unable to fight back. Jett then takes out Zaiden with the Broken Barriers Slingblade! This gains a big pop from the crowd and a “LETS GO JETT!” chant breaks out. Jett uses this energy to fuel him as he picks up Zaiden. He knocks him silly with a Pop-Up European Uppercut! Zaiden stumbles and Jett positions him for a Gutwrench Powerbomb -

But at the last moment, Zaiden rolls out of it. Zaiden recovers his stance quickly and lifts Jett on his shoulders! Zaiden seems to be attempting The Disparity, but Jett fights out of his grasp, landing back on his feet. Jett takes down Zaiden with a dropkick and lifts him for another suplex. Once again, Zaiden fights out of Jett’s grasp. Zaiden then sends Jett to the corner.

Zaiden runs after Jett but gets an elbow to the face! Jett throws a few more strikes, rocking Zaiden, but then Zaiden counters with a corner Enziguri which knocks Jett for six! Zaiden then sends Jett to the ropes and upon his return, pops him up into the air and powerbombs him through the table!!

Phoenix: SMASH! Just like that!

Carson: Here is your winner… THE RED RHINO … GRANT … ZAAAAAIDEN!!

Win-Loss Records:
Grant Zaiden 2-0
Lindon Jett 0-2

Phoenix: Grant Zaiden wins! And in fairly quick fashion too! That means he has beaten Jett three times in a row and now leads the series for the first time!
Jeffrey: And that means, if Zaiden wins the next round, it’s all over! And he really has been dominating Jett lately!
Roberts: Let’s not forget that Jett won the first two matches though! It’s too early to count him out!

Zaiden celebrates his victory in the ring, but otherwise leaves Jett alone and walks up the ramp. Jett pulls himself out of the remnants of the broken table and tries to shake off the cobwebs as we cut to a break.

==

When we return, Leon Teller is backstage and catches up with Grant Zaiden.

Teller: Hey! Mr Zaiden, sir!

Begrudgingly, Zaiden stops and turns to face Teller.

Teller: Congratulations on your win, Grant Zaiden. Everyone wants to know, what will be the stipulation for match six?

Zaiden: I told everyone I would never lose to Lindon Jett again and I meant it. I’m now leading this series 3-2, and I’m ready to end this. One more match, one more victory for me, and this is all over. So at Duskfall, in one week, we will end this! It’s going to be big and it’s going to be brutal and for you, Lindon Jett, it’s going to be very, very bad. For the first time in 4CW history, there will be a CHAINED FURY MATCH!! I’ll see you there, Jett!

Zaiden marches away from Teller as the commentators react to this announcement.

Phoenix: A Chained Fury match?! I never thought I’d see the day!
Jeffrey: Care to explain for uh - the fans who don’t know, what a Chained Fury match is, Scott?
Phoenix: Zaiden summed it up pretty well: it’s big, bad and brutal. Exposed turnbuckles, steel chains for ropes, and the two competitors tied to each other by chains.
Roberts: Sounds like an absolute threat to both men’s careers!
Phoenix: It’s certainly not one for the faint of heart! And it could very well end up being the finale of this Best of Seven Series! It’ll take place next week at Duskfall!

We cut backstage to see Jerome Grayson approach The Supergroup locker room. As he does so, the door opens and Zak E Justice steps out. He stops at the sight of Grayson and closes the locker room door behind him.

Justice: Bro! How goes it?
Grayson: I need to speak to Rane.

Justice grins.

Justice: I mean, I get it bro… I’d be excited too. Unfortunately, she’s not here tonight.

Justice leans in.

Justice: But just so you know… she’s one of the bros… so none of us have… you know…

It takes Justice nudging Grayson with a wink for him to finally ‘get’ it. Grayson frowns and shakes his head.

Grayson: Dude, no. Just stop talking. The coupons she gave me, SeryCoin or whatever it was, it’s worthless. So was the whole Valentine’s card thing some kind of joke? She seems to have a problem with me and we can settle it in the ring.

Justice protests.

Justice: Nah, nah, bro… you got it all wrong. OK, maybe the coupons are bust, I don’t know anything about that… but bro, she is into you.
Grayson: I don’t even know what she looks like!

Justice shook his head this time.

Justice: Come on, now Jerome. It’s 2021. Bro, what’s on the inside is what counts.

Justice gives Grayson an encouraging pat on the shoulder and walks off, leaving Grayson utterly perplexed. We cut back to the ring.

”Inked in Blood” by Sigh hits the PA system. A resounding pop breaks out as The Silver-Haired Sorceress comes out on stage with Licky in her arms.

Carson: The following contest is a first round match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Everywhere… AND NOOOOOOWHERE … weighing in at 128lbs … WITCH .. HAAAAAZEL!!

Phoenix: Witch Hazel had a relatively quiet 2020 in-ring, but what a start to 2021 she could make by winning the tournament tonight!
Jeffrey: She has the ability, no doubt - but she is definitely one of the underdogs tonight! Other competitors are seen as more dangerous and more hungry. Hazel will have to work hard to prove her naysayers wrong.

”Ravenous” by Killswitch Engage hits the PA system. The crowd boos as the shortest-tenured Black Flame member steps out on stage.

Carson: And her opponent, from Newport, Wales, weighing in at 231lbs… THE HORIZON … ELIIIIIII … WATERS!!

Phoenix: And on the other hand, Eli Waters had a fairly good 2020. He became Universal Champion in his rookie year and mixed it up in the ring with the likes of Pilgrim Paige and Madeline Phoenix. Eli is certainly one to watch for 2021.
Jeffrey: And if he wins tonight, he won’t need to be “one to watch” because no-one will be able to take their eyes off of him!

Waters gets into the ring. He and Hazel stand in their corners as the referee does his final checks. Then, Jason Trent calls for the bell.

5.png

Eli Waters breaks into action. He moves frighteningly fast, and throws a DEATH OF INJUSICE Brogue Kick right at Witch Hazel! But Hazel sidesteps and avoids the blast. In his overzealousness, Waters gets his leg caught up on the top rope. Hazel pulls him off, spins him around and hits the NILSWITCH!! HAZEL COVERS!! ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner and advancing to the semifinals… WITCH … HAAAZEL!!

Win-Loss Records:
Witch Hazel 1-0
Eli Waters 0-3

Phoenix: What? Hazel wins!
Jeffrey: Already?!

Hazel rolls out of the ring, with an incredulous gasp on her face, while Eli Waters stands up, looking stunned. Half groggy from the Nilswitch and half groggy from the result of the match, he staggers over and leans on the ropes, looking dismayed.

Phoenix: This is certainly not how Eli Waters had planned this night to go! And now Erica Moxie remains the sole representative for The Black Flame in this tournament!
Roberts: What a shocker! Hazel advances to the next round - in about 9 seconds!

Waters kicks the bottom rope in frustration as the fans cheer for Hazel’s win and we cut to a break.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW Universal Championship!

”Spiders on the Wall” by Magnolia Bayou hits the PA system. Ol’ Smokey comes out on the foggy stage to introduce Dark Lotus, who follows after to boos from the crowd.

Carson: Introducing first, the challenger, being accompanied by Ol’ Smokey, from Devil’s Backbone, Louisiana, weighing in at 275lbs… DAAAAARK … LOOOOTUS!!

Phoenix: Dark Lotus dominated the Hardcore division in 2020, but he’s ready to move on up the mountain.
Jeffrey: Yeah and ever since Phoenix eliminated him from a battle royal, he’s had her in his sights and he wants that title!
Phoenix: Well he gets his opportunity tonight… but he should know The Mad Phoenix isn’t ready to give up that belt just yet!
Roberts: Unfortunately, she may not have a choice!

”Phoenix (Volkor X Remix) hits the PA system. There’s a big pop around the arena as the Universal Champion steps through the curtain.

Carson: And his opponent, from Nara, Japan, weighing in at 125lbs, she is the 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION … MADELIIIIIIIINE … PHOEEEEEEEENIX!!

Phoenix: And what can we say about Madeline Phoenix? I’ll let you two say it so I don’t get accused of nepotism!
Roberts: Madeline Phoenix achieved her biggest victory to date at Storm Front: WAR IV, defeating Hall of Famer Pilgrim Paige to win that Universal Title! And we know Madeline is a fighting champion! Dark Lotus is looking to beat that fight out of her!
Jeffrey: Phoenix has been in there with some of the best in 4CW history and come out on top: Pilgrim Paige, Rhys Cain, Supreme. But this is different: Dark Lotus isn’t just dominant in the ring, he’s a dangerous, vindictive individual.

Phoenix enters the ring and raises her title into the air. She hands the belt to referee Jude O’Cater, who raises it similarly and then does his pre-match checks. All the while, Dark Lotus just stares at Phoenix with dead eyes. Ol’ Smokey paces on the outside, shaking his head, like he knows the devastation that’s to come. O’Cater calls for the bell.

6.png

As soon as the bell rings, Lotus takes it as permission to attack and pounces forward with lumbering lefts and rights that send Phoenix quickly retreating into the corner. Lotus throws an elbow in for good measure and rocks Phoenix. He then takes a few steps back and tries a corner clothesline, but Phoenix ducks under. Phoenix rolls up Lotus! ONE … TWO … NO! Lotus kicks out.

Phoenix: Madeline almost caught Lotus there!
Jeffrey: He has to watch out for her ingenuity, that’s for sure. That’s why she’s the champion!

Phoenix keeps up the attack with an enziguri and a hurricanrana, earning her another two count. Phoenix attempts a DDT on Dark Lotus, but the big man reverses and sends her to the ropes. This time, on his second attempt, he takes her out with a corner clothesline and follows up with a sidewalk slam for a cover! ONE … TWO … NO! Phoenix kicks out.

Phoenix: Back and forth action here, we’re still waiting to see who takes control of the match.

Phoenix gains some space from Lotus with a few strikes, then hits a second hurricanrana. She tries to hype up the crowd so they can do the same for her and they respond with cheers galore.

The competitors stand across the ring from each other, hitting chops against one another chest, as the cheers from the crowd continue as Phoenix starts to deliver her strikes faster and faster, backing Lotus into the ropes, she tries to throw him off but Lotus hits the standing switch, he attempts a clothesline to the returning Phoenix, who ducks and comes off the ropes quickly, taking down Lotus with a running dropkick! Quick cover! ONE .. TWO … NO! Lotus kicks out!

Phoenix stalks a recovering Lotus and attempts to set up for the Mare de Lune, but Lotus pushes her away. Phoenix comes back and walks right into a spinebuster! ONE … TWO … kickout! Lotus grabs Phoenix and sends her to the ropes, taking her down with a huge BIG BOOT on her return! Lotus then goes to the ropes and comes back with a thunderous Leg Drop! Cover! ONE ... TWO … NO! Phoenix kicks out.

Phoenix: Madeline kicks out! But Lotus is well in control of this match!

Lotus continues the assault with a German Suplex! Phoenix instinctively gets to her feet, only to walk into a belly-to-belly suplex! Another cover! ONE … TWO … NO! Another kickout from Phoenix!

Lotus picks up Phoenix and sets her up for the Last Ride!

Jeffrey: Phoenix is in big trouble here! The Last Ride is being lined up!

Lotus lifts Phoenix up into the air - but Phoenix fights back, thumping Lotus in the head with hard right hands! Eventually, she topples Lotus who crashes down to the mat! Phoenix runs to the ropes and takes out a seated Lotus with a brutal dropkick! She then climbs the top rope!!

Phoenix: The Phoenix is Rising!!

Phoenix goes all the way to the top, then dives off with a graceful leap into a corkscrew shooting star press!! Phoenix covers! ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner and STILL 4CW UNIVERSAL CHAMPION … MADELINE … PHOEEEEENIX!!

Win-Loss Records:
Madeline Phoenix 2-0
Dark Lotus 1-1

Phoenix: She did it! What a wonderful victory for Madeline Phoenix!
Jeffrey: She showed true grit and determination! And she toppled Dark Lotus!
Roberts: Phoenix isn’t here to mess around! She’s a champion!
Phoenix: And what a victory! One to be proud of - I know I am!
Roberts: And one has to wonder - hey, what’s this now?!

Inside the ring, while Madeline Phoenix is celebrating with the title, a recovered Dark Lotus thwacks her from behind with a forearm to the back of the neck! Phoenix goes down and Lotus grabs her, sets her up, and smashes her with the LAST RIDE on the Universal Championship!

Phoenix: Now this is just uncalled for!

Phoenix rolls out of the ring, completely blindsided by the attack, and crashes to the outside. Lotus stares at her, breathing heavily. Her music continues to blare around the arena. Lotus growls and rolls out of the ring. As the music cuts, Lotus grabs Phoenix and lifts her up again, this time hitting another Last Ride THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! The table implodes, the commentators yell and fall backwards and Lotus storms around the ring and back up the ramp with Ol’ Smokey in tow.

Jeffrey: Well, I just - Madeline just got destroyed, there’s no two ways about it.
Roberts: All because Dark Lotus couldn’t handle that he lost. A monster he may be, but he doesn’t half act like a baby sometimes!

Scott Phoenix isn’t wearing his headset, instead he is kneeling down next to Madeline checking on her as we cut to a break.

==

”Numb” by Linkin Park hits the PA system as Phil McGroin comes out for the next match.

Carson: The following contest is a SEMI FINAL match scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Helston, England, weighing in at 14 stone… the man who once made a cow tap out … PHIIIIIIIL … MCGROIN!!

Phoenix: Ahem - Madeline Phoenix is being seen backstage after the brutal attack from Dark Lotus before the break, but the show must go on! McGroin came out earlier tonight with an impressive victory over 4CW Hall of Famer Supreme! Can he continue that momentum in the semi final?
Jeffrey: Of course he can! He’s my favourite to win this whole tournament!

”Antivist” by Bring Me The Horizon blasts through the speakers. Erica Moxie comes through the curtain.

Carson: And his opponent, from Omaha, Nebraska, weighing in at 147lbs … ERICAAAAAA … MOXIE!!

Phoenix: And speaking of upsetting Hall of Famers, Erica Moxie also achieved that earlier tonight when she beat her mentor and leader, Rhys Cain!
Roberts: It was a shock that no-one expected, but she’d do well to take advantage of this unique opportunity bestowed upon her! She could end up going from one of the worst win-loss records in 2020 to main eventing Revival in 2021!
Jeffrey: There’s no question she’s hungry - and so is Phil McGroin - so it’s a case of who is willing to do more to get a piece of that prime steak?!

Referee Jason Trent officiates the match and calls for the bell once he has done his pre-match checks.

7.png

The opening of this match starts with a collar and elbow tie up, which McGroin wins and locks up Moxie in a headlock. Moxie quickly fights out of his grasp and sends McGroin to the corner, chasing after him with a combo of punches and knife edge chops and completing the combo with a spinning back elbow, before rolling up McGroin for an early attempt at a cover! ONE … TWO … NO! McGroin kicked out.
Jeffrey: That might have worked for Witch Hazel earlier, but I don’t think it’s going to work here!

Moxie picks up McGroin and sends him to the ropes. He comes back with a clothesline, but Moxie ducks. When McGroin comes off the ropes and back again, Moxie takes him out with a back body drop, before dropping down a knee into McGroin’s midsection and covering again! ONE … TWO … NO! McGroin kicks out, though clearly winded.

Phoenix: This match hasn’t long got underway, but McGroin just took that nasty knee and now seems to be struggling with being winded.

McGroin continues to struggle as Moxie picks him up, lifting him on her shoulders and taking him out with the Nebraska Slam! Another cover from Moxie! ONE … TWO … NO! McGroin kicks out again!

Phoenix: Nice slam from Moxie, but still not enough to end this!

McGroin pushes away Moxie as she tries to pull him into another movie. Moxie continues her forward motion by going in for another attack. McGroin sidesteps her and clocks her across the ear with a huge, deafening slap. Off balance and in pain, Moxie walks right into an EGGCUTION DDT! Cover from McGroin! ONE … TWO … NO! KICKOUT!!

Phoenix: Eggcution DDT out of nowhere, but Moxie managed to kick out! Wow!
Jeffrey: This match has been frenetic with control being swapped around more than James Roberts’ mother!
Roberts: Hey!

Though not beaten, Moxie is clearly in a bad state after the Eggcution DDT. McGroin picks her up and lifts him on her shoulders to set up for another move. Moxie begins to fight back, flailing her legs around and trying to shift her weight. McGroin stumbles backwards and somewhere in the struggle, Jason Trent is struck and he falls to the mat!

Phoenix: The match official, Jason Trent just got blasted by Moxie’s flailing leg! He’s out cold!

McGroin notices the referee being knocked out and drops Moxie back to her feet, distracted. He clotheslines Moxie to the ground and then goes to check on the referee, trying to wake him up by slapping him not-to-gently across the face a few times, but Trent is out.

Sighing, McGroin turns to grab Moxie - but SHE’S THERE! MOXIE MASSACRE DDT! BOOM! Moxie covers McGroin - but of course there is no referee! The crowd counts ONE … TWO … THREE … FOUR … FIVE …

Phoenix: Moxie has the match won but there’s no official count!
Jeffrey: Get another referee down here already!

Someone does sprint down to the ring, but the camera angle doesn’t immediately make it clear who it is. Then he rolls into the ring and stands up - IT’S RHYS CAIN!! Moxie barely has time to stand up when Cain launches at her with a DRAGON RAGE KNEE KICK!!

Phoenix: WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?
Roberts: What?
Jeffrey: What the fuck?!

The crowd are LIVID as they go past booing and are outright SCREAMING at Cain inside the ring. Cain looks around … and then FLIPS THE BIRD to the crowd! He picks up a now groggy Moxie and takes her out with an AVADA KEDAVRA in the middle of the ring!

Phoenix: What the hell is this about? THERE’S NO NEED FOR THIS!
Jeffrey: I agree there’s no need for it, but I think we know EXACTLY what this is about.

Cain looks around. He grabs McGroin and pulls him over to Moxie, draping his arm over her chest. Then, Cain grabs the referee and throws him forward towards the cover. The jolt wakes up the referee a little as Cain rolls out of the ring. The referee sees the cover and instinctually counts … ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner, PHIL … MCGROIN!!

Win-Loss Records:
Phil McGroin 2-0
Erica Moxie 1-1

Phoenix: It’s a hell of an achievement for McGroin to lock in a place in tonight’s final - but this is not the way to go about it!
Jeffrey: Hey, McGroin had no say in this!
Phoenix: I understand that, but dammit! Cain had to go and ruin it because his inflated ego got punctured.

”Numb” by Linkin Park plays through the arena as McGroin leaves the ring immediately and heads up the ramp stumbling as he goes. McGroin reaches the top of the ramp and raises his arm in victory. Then, he heads behind the curtain. Cain walks around the ring, shaking his head in disappointment at Moxie, who is still out from the assault.

Cain reaches the bottom of the ramp, when suddenly, he turns and rolls back into the ring! Cain mounts Moxie, lefts and rights raining down on the defenceless apprentice. After three clean unprotected shots to her face, her eye is swollen and her nose is busted open.

Phoenix: WHAT THE HELL? STOP THIS!
Roberts: This is completely uncalled for...
Jeffrey: Why has this twat always got to be so extra?

A bunch of people slide into the ring. It soon becomes apparent it is the other four members of The Black Flame. Together, they pull Cain off of Moxie and push him up against the turnbuckle. They all protest his actions to him, and he absorbs what they are saying. Cain lifts his arms up in resignation, then signals for a microphone. He is handed one by a ringside assistant. When Cain speaks, he is breathing heavily with adrenaline and rage.

Cain: Let me make this plain.. And fucking simple… The Black Flame lives or dies by me… and each and every one of you are either with me or against me...so what’s it going to be? HUH? ZEPH? BRUCE? GARRETT? ELI? You with me or against me? But you only get to make the choice once, so make sure it’s a fucking smart one!

Cain throws the mic to the mat, smashing it to pieces. After a moment of consideration, Bruce Rigg nods and picks up Moxie, whipping her into the opposite corner. He and Fischer take turns unleashing knife edge chops on the chest of Moxie.

Phoenix: And like loyal rabid dogs, The Liberation have of course decided to join in on the assault! These assholes disgust me!
Jeffrey: Erica Moxie was until moments ago one of those assholes, Scott.
Phoenix: That makes it worse! They don’t even have loyalty to their own!

Zephyris joins in with a few boots to the gut of Moxie. The three of them continue to chip away at her. The only person still facing Cain is Eli Waters. Cain doesn’t need a mic to hear what he’s saying.

Cain: Well? Make your choice, Eli.

Eli Waters looks torn. He looks back at Moxie, who is now being held by The Liberation and Zephyris, then back to Cain. Cain raises his brow.

Cain: I don’t remember saying you had time to think about it. WHAT’S YOUR CHOICE, ELI?!

Waters frowns and steps forward in Cain’s face. Cain gets in his face so they are nose to nose. The seething tension is thick, and Waters growls - then turns around and BLASTS MOXIE with THE DEATH OF INJUSTICE KICK!!

Phoenix: Dammit! Waters too! Every last one of them rat bastards betrayed their comrade!
Jeffrey: This is just unsavoury right now… which is par for the course for Cain but even so, this is a low even for him.
Roberts: I think we can officially conclude that The Black Flame has just incinerated Erica Moxie from their roll call!

Cain finishes the assault with a quick kick to the ribs. Then, The Black Flame leave the ring having done their damage. None of them look back at Moxie, they all head up the ramp together as one. Inside the ring, Moxie stirs. She’s reeling from the beating. She sits up in the ring, absorbs everything that just happened… and cries with her head in her hands.

Roberts: This is hard to watch.
Phoenix: Erica Moxie, the epitome of toughness, has been broken here tonight.
Roberts: The Black Flame was more than just a wrestling group to Moxie. They were family… and they’ve just told her they don’t want her anymore, and for what? Because she actually achieved something great? This is so sad.

The camera cuts to a break as Moxie sobs to herself.

==

When we return, a puffy-eyed, bloody Erica Moxie is stalking the hallways. She looks furious. Leon Teller tries to approach for an interview.

Teller: Miss Moxie, I -

Moxie piefaces him and moves on. She looks around, sees a steel chair and picks it up, flattening it. She charges through the hallway.

Phoenix: There’s Moxie, and she’s armed!

Moxie turns a corner and arrives at a large double door locker room labelled THE BLACK FLAME. She kicks open the door.

Moxie: CAAAAAIN!!

Commotion is heard from within. As Moxie enters, she blasts a wandering Zephyris with a chair shot right to the head. She jabs Rigg in the gut with the chair and as Fischer comes out of the shower with a towel, smashes him across the back with it. Finally, she sees Cain in the corner of the room who has headphones on and has not noticed the commotion.

As Moxie approaches, Cain notices her and jumps to his feet. At this point, Moxie throws the steel chair away and smashes a forearm right into Cain’s face!! She follows up with multiple brutal forearms which Cain is unable to defend from and which are causing him to bash his head into the lockers behind him every time.

Phoenix: Absolute mayhem! Erica Moxie doesn’t wait for revenge!

BAM!! The steel chair makes a return, wielded by Eli Waters, as he smashes Moxie across the back with it. The Liberation, now recovering from their assaults (and Fischer having thankfully had shorts on underneath his towel), pick up Moxie and lay in the gut punches and kicks.

Cain recovers from the assault by bashing Moxie’s head against a locker, then pulling her to the door, throwing her out of the room and slamming the door behind him, brushing his hands off afterwards

Jeffrey: I respect Moxie’s - well - moxie, but the numbers game is just too much for her!
Roberts: She needs to go home and rest - she’s taken a hell of a beating tonight.

Moxie sits up against a wall, beaten and battered. Some referees and medical staff come over to help her to her feet, but she pushes them away and gets up herself. Lindon Jett walks by and stops at the sight of Moxie.

He nods.

Jett: Welcome back, Miss Moxie.

Jett walks off, holding an ice back to his shoulder. Moxie looks on as we cut back to the ring for the next match.

Carson: The following contest is a SEMI FINAL match in the 2021 Stormchaser Tournament!

”Wherever I May Roam” by Yashin hits the PA system and the crowd cheer as Brian White comes out for the second time tonight. He has a swollen eye from the dropkick he took off Young in the first match but otherwise looks ready to go!

Carson: Introducing first, from Barry, South Wales, weighing in at 385lbs… 4CW Hall of Famer… BRIAN .. THE FREIGHT TRAAAAAAIN … WHITE!!

Phoenix: White advanced earlier tonight by defeating his protege Tommy Young and now he must face Witch Hazel, who funnily enough, has some history with White and Young.
Roberts: A long, storied history involving a WAR match and many Hot Dates between Young and Hazel.
Jeffrey: The Silver-Haired Sorceress will be a tough challenge for White, but one he will have to overcome to get his hands on Valentine at Revival!

”Inked in Blood” by Sigh hits the PA system. The crowd cheers again as another of their favourites steps out onto the stage.

Carson: And his opponent, from Everywhere… and NOOOOOWHERE … weighing in at 128lbs… WITCH … HAAAAAAZEL!!

Phoenix: And Witch Hazel is essentially 100%, after beating Eli Waters earlier tonight in a matter of seconds!
Roberts: She got him good! But she’s not going to be able to pull the same trick on Brian White!
Jeffrey: And it should be noted that Witch Hazel has never beaten Brian White in any way, shape or form.
Phoenix: A tall ask for The Silver-Haired Sorceress no doubt, but if anyone can produce that kind of magic, it’s Hazel!

8.png

Witch Hazel and Brian White stand on opposing sides of the ring. You can see Hazel talking trash, while she approaches the center of the ring, still riding the high of her quick first round win. Brian White seems… slightly amused, as he walks confidently right to the middle of the ring, Hazel bouncing from foot to foot being careful to stay out of the reach of White.

Phoenix: Hazel knows how dangerous it is to let Brian White get his hands on you and she will avoid that at all costs!

The bell rings, and Brian White reaches out to grab ahold of White Hazel, she ducks around his large frame and delivered several kicks to White’s calf and thigh, but Brian barely lifts his leg off the ground.

He turns to try and grab her again, when she ducks around him again, delivering another two strikes to the other leg. This time White manages to grab ahold of her, wrapping his arms around her shoulder and forcing her body back into the corner.

White picks Hazel up and tosses her across the ring into the corner, and tries to end it quickly with a Stinger Splash, but Hazel manages to wiggle out at the last moment, White crashing chest first into the top turnbuckle, as he stumbles backwards he turns to see Hazel already having bounced off the far ropes, and she delivers a dropkick to his shin, sending him down to a knee.

Jeffrey: Witch Hazel is doing her best to chop the behemoth down!
Roberts: She needs spades of persistence to keep that up!

Seeing her opportunity Hazel gestures to the crowd and comes running off the ropes again, while Brian tries to get to his feet, Hazel climbs up his large frame with a running headscissors, but she is caught in the transition, where Brian grabs her body and simply, stands up, walks With Hazel to the middle of the ring, and drives her down with a Pavement Slam so hard that both their bodies bounce off the center of the ring! Brian White goes for a dominant cover. ONE … TWO …

Hazel kicks out just after the two, She’s on the ground gasping for air. Brian White tosses her body over the stomach and locks in a side headlock, he looks around to the crowd as he starts to drag her body up to the standing position, the headlock still locked in.

Hazel delivers hard elbows to the back of White but it’s unsuccessful at wavering him. White in full control backs himself into the ropes and leans against them to send himself off, calling for his signature shoulder tackle.

Phoenix: Hazel is certainly bringing the fight to White, but he’s so big!

Hazel has the move scouted as she follows him in, throwing her body to the mat in front of him as he hits the ropes. White surprised, steps over her and follows through to the far ropes, coming back again, he see Hazel preparing to leapfrog into the air and slows his approach, snatching her in mid air as he squeezes her in a Bear Hug, using his near 200 lb advantage as he squeezes the air out of the lungs of Witch Hazel.

Witch Hazel digs deep into her move set and unrolls her lascivious tongue out of her mouth, licking White from chin to forehead against his face.

Roberts: Hey, come now! White is a newly married man!

White drops her in front of him. She sizes him up as she stumbles backwards into the ropes bouncing off and delivering a running Big boot across the face of Brian White, who falls to the ground in a seated position.

Hazel bounces off the ropes one more time and hurls her whole body into a Senton across chest of the seated Brian White, she reaches back and grabs a hold of the leg of Brian White, hoping to hold him down. ONE … TWO … NO! Kickout from White!

Phoenix: Hazel is giving this her all and gets a near fall right there!

Brian White kicks out at 2, with such power that Hazel bounces off his chest straight to her feet, while he tries to stand up from the ground, Hazel does her best to stop going into a frenzied rage of clawing and raking, and once Brian upper body is free, she starts throwing haymakers. This slows Brian’s attempts to stand, haymaker popping the sweat off his chest, but Hazel attempts one too many as she bounced off the ropes and ran straight into an Open Hand Chop to the chest that knocks her, almost folding her in half.

Phoenix: Oooh! They’ll hear that echo in Austin!

Brian White looks down and grabs a hold of White Hazel, quickly bringing her to her feet, and bending her over to prepare for his powerbomb, he lifts her up to his shoulders but she starts to fight back once up there, delivering claws to the head and face of White. As he falls backwards into the corner, she catches her feet on the middle ropes, and grabs a hold of the wrist of Brian White using all her energy to twist it out of position. She climbs up to the top rope and starts to walk across it.

Phoenix: Hazel showing off her acrobatic prowess! Can she make something of it?

As she stands in the middle of the ropes, she gestures as she leaps off onto the shoulders of Brian White for another Senton, but as she leans backwards, White barely budges, and he pulls her up onto his shoulders, back into powerbomb position delivering the Train Crash folding White Hazel’s body in half as he holds her shoulders down to the mat.

Phoenix: Absolute power! Pure dominance!

ONE … TWO … THREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner, advancing to the FINAL … BRIAN … THE FREIGHT TRAAAAAAAIN … WHITE!!

Win-Loss Records:
Brain White 3-0
Witch Hazel 1-1

Phoenix: An exciting, hard hitting affair! And Brian White has come out on top!
Roberts: And that means he’s in the Final, tonight’s main event!
Phoenix: That’s right! There’s one more obstacle in the path of Brian White’s Road to Revival, and that’s Phil McGroin!

Witch Hazel rolls out of the ring and White steps up on the second buckle, celebrating his now second victory of the night with the fans. As White’s music blares, we cut to a break.

We return with Carson introducing the next match.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS!!

”Those In My Way” by Straplocked hits the PA system. To a raucous pop, Kinzy Kane steps out on stage. Right after her, to another big pop, comes 4CW Hall of Famer Pilgrim Paige.

Carson: Introducing first, the challengers, weighing in at a combined weight of 274lbs, NEON RAIN … KINZY KANE and PILGRIIIIIM … PAAAAIGE!!

Phoenix: Paige and Kinzy decided to form a team together a few short months ago and the results have so far been very positive!
Roberts: That’s right, last month, Paige and Kinzy defeated S&M to earn this Tag Team Championship match.
Jeffrey: But it goes without saying Paige and Kinzy are the underdogs here! Umbra Maxima are the greatest tag team in 4CW history, bar none.

Paige and Kinzy get into the ring, playing to the crowd and discussing their tactics among themselves. Then, ”Taking You Down” by Egypt Central hits the PA system. Out comes the 4CW Tag Team Champions to a hostile response, Maximillian Yesgill in front flanked by Elfan Simtul.

Carson: And their opponents, from New York, New York, weighing in at a combined weight of 485lbs… they are the 4CW Tag Team Champions… ELFAN SIMTUL … MAXIMILLIAN YESGILL… UMBRAAAAAAAA …. MAXIMA!!

Phoenix: We’ve said time and time again what is so special about these two; Simtul and Yesgill, four time tag team champions. More days as champion than anyone ever and it’s not even close. Without doubt, the best tag team to ever compete in 4CW.
Roberts: Yeah and as good as Paige and Kinzy are together, they are effectively rookies, when it comes to being a tag team, going up against proverbial Hall of Famers.
Jeffrey: It’s going to take something special from them to dethrone the champions tonight, that’s for sure!

The two members of Umbra Maxima get into the ring and take the opposing corner to Paige and Kinzy. The referee, Anna Molly, does her pre-match checks, and the two teams pick their starting competitor. Paige steps into the ring against Simtul as Molly calls for the bell.

9.png

Paige and Simtul collide in the middle of the ring with a grapple. Predictably, Simtul wins out and locks Paige in a side headlock, before transitioning into a takedown. He keeps the headlock applies as he covers Paige with both shoulders on the mat. ONE … TWO… Paige kicks out but Simtul keeps the pressure applied. Paige rolls out and gets to her knees, still locked in the headlock. She throws some elbows into the gut of Simtul, who relinquishes the hold. She then runs to the ropes and comes back with an attempt at a clothesline, but Simtul sidesteps and once again locks in a side headlock!

Simtul then decides he’s had enough playing with his food and sends Paige into the corner. He runs at her with a clothesline attempt but Paige ducks out and turns around, hitting Simtul with a knife edge chop in the corner. She unleashes two more before he grabs her and retaliates with a headbutt that sends Paige crashing to the mat. Simtul grabs the recovering Paige and takes her out with a suplex. Simtul follows up with a powerslam and makes the cover! ONE … TWO … NO! Kickout from Paige!

Phoenix: Paige and Simtul have shared the ring many times and both are as tough as nails!
Jeffrey: That’s true, but Simtul has the weight and mass, and therefore has the advantage in direct combat!

Simtul throws Paige into the Maxima corner and tags in Yesgill. They both stomp Paige in the corner until Anna Molly gets to the count of three, and Simtul returns to the apron. Yesgill runs up to the cornered Paige and hits a dropkick, then takes her out with a DDT! Yesgill makes a cover! ONE … TWO… kickout from Paige!

Yesgill picks up Paige and whips her to the ropes, but Paige reverses and sends Yesgill instead. Paige tries to take out Yesgill with a clothesline but he ducks under and goes back to the ropes and when he returns, takes out Paige with the Lunar Lasso slingblade! Yesgill hooks the leg! ONE … TWO … NO! Paige kicks out!

Yesgill sends Paige back into his own corner and tags in Simtul. Simtul body slams Paige, then quickly tags Yesgill back in, who leaps over the ropes and lands in the ring with an elbow to Paige’s chest! Another cover! ONE … TWO … NO! Paige kicks out!

Phoenix: And Umbra Maxima showing a masterclass in how to take advantage of one half of a tag team - but Paige is as resilient as ever!

Yesgill grabs Paige and attempts another DDT, but Paige manages to escape his grasp and take down Yesgill with a superkick! Yesgill goes down in his own corner and Simtul tags himself in! Kinzy stretches over as Paige stumbles backwards - AND MAKES THE TAG!

Phoenix: And HERE - COMES - KINZY!!

Kinzy Kane leaps over the top rope and dives into Simtul with a crossbody that takes him down! Kinzy gets back to her feet and throws a wild forearm at Yesgill, getting back to his feet in the corner, which knocks him to the mat! Simtul recovers quickly, but Kinzy jumps up and wraps him into a hurricanrana! Kinzy covers! ONE … TWO … NO! Simtul kicks out!

Kinzy rolls back up to her feet and takes down a recovering Yesgill with a baseball dropkick under the bottom rope! Kinzy then turns to a recovering Simtul and hits a Judas Effect elbow to the back of his head!

Phoenix: BLADE RUNNER!! And there’s a MONSOON of NEON RAIN right now!!
Jeffrey: Go Kinzy!

Kinzy covers Simtul! ONE … TWO … TH-- NO!! SIMTUL KICKS OUT!! Kinzy looks over and sees Paige back on the apron, eager to get back in. Kinzy tags in Paige and Paige jumps in, grabbing Simtul and taking him out with a snap DDT!

Roberts: They have Simtul right where they want him!

Paige turns and eyes the top turnbuckle! Wasting no time, she climbs all the way to the top!

Phoenix: What are we about to see?!

With significant air time, Paige dives off with the DOUBLE FOOT STOMP to Simtul!!

Phoenix: FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON!! THIS IS ALL OVER!!

Paige is about to go down and cover Simtul when she notices Maximillian Yesgill is back in the ring! Before she can react, he runs up to her and BLASTS her across the head with the 4CW Tag Team Championship! Anna Molly, seeing this blatant disregard for the rules, calls for the bell!!

Carson: Here are your winners via disqualification… PILGRIM PAIGE… and KINZY KANE. However, STILL the 4CW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS… UMBRAAAA … MAXIMA!!

Win-Loss Records:
Pilgrim Paige 2-0
Kinzy Kane 3-0
Elfan Simtul 1-1
Maximillian Yesgill 1-1

Phoenix: Come on, now! What the hell was that?! Paige had this match won!
Jeffrey: I think you just explained what the hell that was, Scott! Umbra Maxima can’t lose the titles on a disqualification! As far as tactics go, it’s -
Roberts: - disgusti--
Jeffrey: GENIUS!!
Phoenix: Well, it’s a disappointing end to a great match - oh but look! SYNTH CITY THRILLERS ARE HERE!!

Devon Drummond and Reuben Kojo jump into the ring and start brawling with Yesgill and a recovering Simtul! They are doing a good job at keeping them down, when FISCHER and RIGG of The Liberation slide into the ring from the crowd, and start attacking Synth City! Only moments later, the ring gets even more full, as SILENT SORCERY sprint down to the ring. Kiko climbs the turnbuckle and takes down Simtul and Rigg with a crossbody! Kira kicks the head off of Fischer! There’s utter mayhem when ”Red Flag” by Billy Talent hits the PA system and Sery comes out with a mic.

Sery: Now, now… NOW, NOW… this tag division has been running rough for too long! And it’s understandable really, we have incredibly talented team after incredibly talented team! I’m sick of DQs and interference and whatever else, so here’s what’s going to happen… at Revival XV, Umbra Maxima you will defend those titles… against PAIGE AND KINZY … AND SYNTH CITY THRILLERS… AND THE LIBERATION… AND SILENT SORCERY … IN A TAG TEAM GAUNTLET MATCH!!

The teams take in this announcement, Silent Sorcery, Paige & Kinzy and Synth City Thrillers in the ring with Liberation and Maxima on the outside as we cut to a break.

Phoenix: Thank you all for joining us tonight! It’s been a great show, and we’ll be coming back in one week for 4CW Duskfall, where Lindon Jett will take on Grant Zaiden in the sixth match of their Best of Seven Series, and it will be a Chained Fury match!
Roberts: But that’s not all, as we’ll also be bringing you two more championship matches! First of all, Xavier Avana will defend the 4CW Custom Cup Championship against Dirk Meyer! We know Xavier’s stipulation is Ante Up, so what will Dirk Meyer put on the line?
Jeffrey: And in our main event for Duskfall, Kinzy Kane will team up with Synth City Thrillers, as the trio known as Hyperdrive defend their 4CW Franchise Championship against The Janiturs!
Phoenix: All this and more to come at Duskfall, but finally, right now it is time… for our main event!

Carson: The following contest is our MAIN EVENT of the evening scheduled for one fall and is the FINAL of the 2021 STORMCHASER TOURNAMENT! The winner of this match will go on to face Jack Valentine for the 4CW World Championship at Revival XV!!

”Numb” by Linkin Park hits the PA system. The crowd sends out ripples of disapproval as the music plays which only amplifies when McGroin himself comes out on stage. He’s a bit sweaty and a bit beat up, but otherwise, he’s good to go.

Phoenix: To get to this point in the tournament, Phil McGroin toppled Supreme in the first round and, granted due to interference, also beat Erica Moxie in the semi final!
Jeffrey: And Phil McGroin has been on the cusp of a one on one 4CW World Championship match for ages now! This could be the perfect opportunity for him to get that opportunity, just him and the champion!
Roberts: Yeah, but it’s easier said than done, given who his opponent is!

”Wherever I May Roam” by Yashin blasts through the speakers and gets a raucous reaction from the crowd, which cheers the arrival of the big man as he bursts through the curtain. His eye is now looking particularly rough, having taken multiple shots to it throughout the night, but he’s still standing.

Phoenix: And here is the Freight Train, Brian White! Tonight, he has ploughed through his protege Tommy Young and The Silver-Haired Sorceress Witch Hazel to get to the final! Now he faces the vindictive and savvy Phil McGroin.
Roberts: He’s been taking on much smaller opponents all night, and while McGroin is certainly small compared to White, he still has over fifty pounds on either of White’s last two opponents.
Jeffrey: Yes, but White still has TWO HUNDRED pounds on McGroin! This man is an absolute machine and McGroin will need every trick in the book to stop this locomotive.

White gets into the ring and stares a hole through McGroin. McGroin doesn’t step down and meets White for a stand off in the middle of the ring. Referee Anna Molly does pre-match checks, talks to both competitors and then calls for the bell.

Phoenix: McGroin! White! 2021 Stormchaser Final! Here we go!

10.png

McGroin circles White as White advances forward ready to get the match underway. White makes a lunge for McGroin, but McGroin ducks under the big man and slips behind. He sneaks in a quick kick, imitating Hazel’s tactic earlier in the night, then keeps a wide berth.

Phoenix: And just like Hazel earlier, McGroin is keeping his distance and choosing his shots.
Jeffrey: That’s all well and good but to pull all of that off against White, you need to be able to outrun a train!

McGroin continues to circle White, throwing out kicks whenever he gets the opportunity. White gets frustrated and charges forward, so McGroin drops down and rolls out of the ring.

Jeffrey: Top ring psychology! McGroin will do this on his own terms!
Roberts: Does that include running away?
Jeffrey: I’ve been waiting all night to say this - SHUT UP ROBERTS!!

Brian White decides he’s tired of waiting around and rolls out of the ring after McGroin. McGroin baits him in as White charges only for McGroin to sidestep White and send him crashing head-first into the ring post. McGroin then grabs White and whips him into the steel steps, which break apart upon impact. McGroin rolls White back into the ring at the count of six and rolls in himself.

Jeffrey: And THAT is how you take down a monster!

White starts to get to his feet but McGroin grabs him and hits a spinning neckbreaker! McGroin covers the big man! ONE … TWO … NO! Kickout from White! McGroin jumps to his feet and starts to stomp White all over, trying desperately to keep the big man down. McGroin then climbs the top rope and comes off with a swift MOONSAULT! Another cover! ONE … TWO … NO! White kicks out again!

Phoenix: McGroin is certainly bringing out the big guns tonight!
Roberts: He’s been on fire all night! But White, even after two matches, is still a formidable opponent to conquer!

White moves over to the corner and uses the ropes to try and pull himself up. McGroin runs at White and takes him out with a corner dropkick and follows it up with a bulldog! Another cover! ONE … TWO … NO! White kicks out, and this time, THROWS McGroin across the ring. White gains a second wind and stands back up. McGroin charges in desperation but White takes him out with a HUGE boot to the face! White then comes off the ropes and hits a big splash on the Englishman! Cover from White! ONE … TWO … NO! McGroin kicks out!

Phoenix: It takes a lot to kick out of having 385lbs come crashing down on you!

White is so big that when he picks up McGroin, the referee’s view is obscured and she doesn’t see McGroin rake the injured eye of Brian White! White clutches his eye and recoils and McGroin fights with lefts and rights, cornering the big man. McGroin then kicks White hard in the gut and hooks his GIGANTIC LEG!

Roberts: There’s absolutely no way!
Jeffrey: Yeah, McGroin may be biting off more than he can chew here!

McGroin tries and fails to lift White the first time, but then he readjusts his footing and LIFTS WHITE UP FOR A FISHERMAN’S SUPLEX!!

Jeffrey: HE DID IT!
Phoenix: Wow! What a Fisherman’s Suplex from McGroin! Could this be it?!

McGroin keeps the suplex bridge in place as Anna Molly makes the count! ONE … TWO … TH--NO! WHITE KICKS OUT!

Roberts: I really thought McGroin had it there!

McGroin stumbles to his feet, then shakes the ropes to send the adrenaline flowing through his body. He grabs White and pulls him up, hooking him up for the Eggcution DDT - but White reverses - BACK BODY DROP!!

A close up of White’s face shows that he is ENRAGED!! White wipes out McGroin with a monumental clothesline that flips him 180 in the air!

Phoenix: Uh-oh!
Jeffrey: Looks like Brian White is nice and pissed off!

White scoops up a recovering McGroin with a body slam and makes the cover! ONE … TWO … NO! McGroin kicks out! White grabs him by the hair and pulls him to his feet, then throws him to the corner. McGroin crashes into the corner and has only a moment to breath before White comes in and clobbers him with the Stinger Splash!

Phoenix: McGroin is in big trouble here!

White lifts up McGroin on the follow up for a Pavement Slam - but no, McGroin finds his feet, slips out, kick to the gut … EGGCUTION DDT! BAM!!

Phoenix: EGGCUTION DDT! MCGROIN HAS GOT WHITE!

McGroin immediately hooks both gigantic legs for the cover! ONE … TWO … THRE--NO!! WHITE KICKS OUT!!

Phoenix: NO! White kicked out! Wow!
Jeffrey: This is turning into one hell of a match!

Inside the ring, McGroin looks pretty devastated that his big move didn’t pay off. He brushes his hand through his hair, stressed, and gets back to his feet, clutching his ribs as he does so. He looks up top.

Phoenix: I think McGroin knows what he has to do to end this!

McGroin climbs up to the top rope, and positions himself for a moonsault! With grace and poise otherwise completely absent from his aura, he dives off - and LANDS RIGHT IN THE ARMS OF A WAITING BRIAN WHITE!! White lifts McGroin up on to his shoulders!! BACKBREAKER RACK!!

Phoenix: White has the Crossrail locked in tight!!
Jeffrey: Oh no!
Roberts: This has to be it! McGroin is getting shattered in half here!

McGroin struggles for a few moments before giving into the agony and TAPPING OUT!!

Carson: Here is your winner of the 2021 Stormchaser Tournament… BRIAN … THE FREIGHT TRAAAAIN … WHITE!!

Win-Loss Records:
Brian White 4-0
Phil McGroin 2-1

White drops McGroin to the mat, who rolls out of the ring. White falls to his knees as the fans scream for him. He looks around and the emotion on his face is apparent; three exhausting matches, one historic victory.

Phoenix: He’s done it! BRIAN WHITE MAKES HISTORY TONIGHT!
Jeffrey: Brian White is going to the main event of Revival for the first time in his career!
Phoenix: And he becomes the first person EVER to win not one, but TWO Stormchaser Tournaments!
Roberts: As good as the reward of a 4CW World Championship match at Revival is, let’s not forget Jack Valentine crashed Brian White’s wedding and he is out for blood!
Phoenix: I wouldn’t want to be Jack Valentine right now, that’s for sure! Congratulations Brian White! And thank you everyone for joining us! Goodnight!!

The last scene before we fade to black is Brian White standing tall in the ring, Tommy Young having run down to the ring to celebrate with him, confetti falling all around the ring and crowd.
