-- On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that WWE appears very likely to have a Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax match in the future and their first association with one another on Raw where they sort of faced off was the first step in that storyline.

-- Over at PW Insider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson went a bit further and said that he could see that match taking place this year's SummerSlam with WWE building it as a "dream match" between the two.

Dream match? Who's fucking dream match is this? No ones. Someone surprise me and honestly tell me that they view it as a dream match? No fan can honestly say that. It's like WWE are just throwing the term "dream match" around to build up interest in some matches. Styles vs Nakamura dream match. No, it was a dream match when they had the match outside of WWE, which is something that you couldn't hope to repeat with your current product. Maybe it was a dream match to people who hadn't seen that, but then they didn't even go and make it feel special. Dream matches should be special. Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax is not special, not matter how much they build it up.

Styles v Nakamura was a dream match. Just because it didn't live up to expectations, doesn't change the fact it was a dream match.

Ronda v Nia? Not so much, but this is just WWE doing their jobs as promoters. They are hardly gonna say it's NOT a dream match.

How can it really be a dream match if it happened already though?

Styles vs Nakamura wasn't a dream match. Had already seen it. Dream matches are ones that haven't happened in my opinion. Something that needs to be seen because it hasn't before. So wasn't a dream match at all... although I can't remember watching Nakamura before his NJPW match with Styles, so it wasn't a dream match for me then. But as you know that what they do in WWE won't live up to that... and that the match has already happened... you can't call it a dream match.

And calling Rousey vs Jax a dream match isn't good promoting to me. Just makes them look like a joke. Now if they were to bill Rousey vs Charlotte as one next year... totally on board with that! Obviously need to see Rousey a bit more, but that definitely has the potential to be a dream match if they hang off having it. You can't just call something a dream match though just to hype it up... makes the whole "dream match" tag become a joke and then it no longer becomes a useful promoting tool for a match.

I think you guys are forgetting a ton of WWE fans have never seen a NJPW match in their life. They aren't all smarks like us. For them, it could be seen as a dream match.

I agree though that the more they use "dream match" the less it means - of course, they haven't used dream match for this Nia v Ronda thing. As it stands, it's just dirt sheet rumours.
