Advertising and building for the main event, and then they change their minds and give the new match very little build. It's like Balor vs Styles all over again. If it turns out like that match though, I won't be complaining. In fact, I'm not going to complain anyway, as Styles is so much better than Mahal it's ridiculous. Plus it was a great moment for the UK fans 🙂

What's funny is that Mahals best match to date is the one where he lost the belt. If he'd set something like that as a standard, most people wouldn't complain at him being champion.

You mean if the WWE would have let him have more matches like that.

Also, it appears that John Cena is Taking AJ's spot for team Smackdown.

Good, stops the rumours of Cena being guest ref in the WWE Title match. Would have been completely unnecessary.

Well, with AJ in the main event we can expect a god match. TO be fair, the card does look pretty strong, I might actually watch this one within the week! :-P

I'm thinking The Bar are the current champs because they didn't want The Shield loosing to The Uso's.

Ha, that was my first thought when I saw Ambrose and Rollins lose. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. And they're completely cut from the card (or not cut, since they weren't on it previously). Would have been a good match as well, so it's a shame to see the Shield lose the belts before this PPV.

So this wasn't a bad PPV at all. Not the best, but good I'd say, carried by a few matches.

Styles vs Lesnar was fun. Match of the night easily and I'd say the best Lesnar match in years. Yeah, I'm going there. Thought it was going to go the way of the Lesnar/Cena match from a few years ago. Both came off good, and whilst it's disappointing that Styles didn't kick out of at least one F5, I hear that they're protecting the move until Mania so makes sense. Plus it's a great finisher that should get people in one go anyway. Love that Lesnar sells moves as well. Limps all the way to the back even though he's fine. Something I've always liked about him.

The Shield vs New Day was the next best match. Which is no surprise given the guys involved.

The womens elimination match was okay at best. Funny fuck up spot by Fox and Naomi. Fox was channeling her inner Eva Marie by not kicking out in time. And poor Becky being eliminated by a roll-up so early. I'd be pissed if that was me.

The Miz vs Corbin was as you'd expect. Mediocre. I like the Miz, but Corbin is just shit. Corbin saying he just shut everyone up by winning made me genuinely laugh. You're still shit, bud. Beating Miz doesn't change that in the slightest, especially when you just had a mediocre match.

The Tag champs probably had my third favourite match. Like with the Shield/New Day, it was no surprise given the guys involved. I'd probably class it as very good, but could have been better. How? By not having two heel teams going against each other. The crowd can help a match become that little bit better, but they need someone to get behind. Can't really do that when both teams are heels.

Womens title match was good. Again though, could have been better because the crowd just didn't care. But then there's been no build to this one really, so why would they?

The main event was okay. Was expecting to see Jordan get involved, but didn't. Mainly though, this did nothing for the younger guys in the match and was just the start of the Triple H vs Angle feud. Don't mind that match coming up, as I'm sure it'll be good. But I don't think that it needed to end up being the main focus of the match, and it was since that's what has had people talking. Triple H made me laugh twice though. Once when he gave Shane the pin, turned and looked at Strowman and was like "nope, not crossing him. I'd best just pin Shane now." And after the show he walked into the entrance area on the way out in a hilarious way, which while on purpose, was fucking hilarious.

Overall, the PPV gets higher ratings than other PPVs this year because it had two standout matches and one that was very good. Three matches of very good and above is better than what we usually get.

Admin and 4CW Head Booker

I  can't be bothered to do a full review, but in a few words, I think War Games and Survivor Series were both great and Survivor Series was probably PPV of the Year for WWE.
