Should be a good PPV, and if you include the kick-off match there are three womens matches on the card. Raw finally using their womens division properly.

I'll repeat what I said in the prediction thread though... WWE have panicked and given things away far too easily. Angles first match back should be huge with some proper build. Not just thrown into a match with no build at all. What's the reason for him wanting to fight The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus, Braun Strowman & Kane? Why insert yourself into it? And AJ Styles? No explanation as to why they can use a Smackdown guy randomly like this? What was the point in the brand split again?

Matt Hardy is doing nothing. Anderson and Gallows are doing nothing. They've been trying to build Jason Jordan up and he's doing nothing - would make perfect sense for Angle to push him into Reigns position storyline wise, telling him to get out there and make him proud.

Doesn't help that they have a WWE champion that is barely there... not because of injury or because he's off filming something... because they put the title on a part-time wrestler. Why not call him in at short notice?

Still... the cruiserweight tag match is something I didn't realise was happening and that should be a good match.

And if they hadn't booked half their roster into the main event they could have dealt with this illness problem quite easily. They're kind of screwed if other people go down with it between now and Sunday evening.

Honestly this doesn't bother me. There is some method to the madness. Miz has been badmouthing Angle and Jordan for months. It does kind of make sense.

Styles is random but I guess since Wyatt is out, they are trying to make it up to fans..

I just can't complain too much about the fact I'm getting Angle returning and AJ v Finn when 2 days ago all I cared about was a Shield reunion. The PPV is more interesting now, even if it means we get somewhat random matches.

Angle's return should have had a good build to it. Throw Jordan into this match instead, as you could make sense from it. Then if they're still short, start building to Angle at the next PPV. Have Jordan take the main beating which brings Angle back.

Sure, it'll very likely still end up as a good PPV, with Styles vs Balor being class... but it now just stinks of desperation and panic.

And this is the second time that they've over booked a main event for a Raw PPV and had problems. Extreme Rules they put their top 5 - minus Lesnar - in the main event and the rest of the card was shit, as they could barely fill it. So they do it again. The writers for Raw aren't learning... although it's different circumstances this time.

Also shows why they shouldn't have a part-time champion. He'd make a huge difference to the card after this sickness bout going around the roster.

Good news though is that Angle has clearly passed the WWE fitness test. Not gonna lie... I had doubts that he ever would, so it's great news really.

Main Event

Balor vs Styles lived up to the 3 day hype. Great match. Agree with Benjawi that it makes no sense and I hate when they ignore the brand split. But after watching the match, I'm happy they went with Styles to face him. Balor vs Wyatt has been pretty poor and I really wasn't excited at all about seeing another match between them. Replacing that with a match of the standard that we got... fuck me I'm happy. Been reading that they want to build for them to fight again at the next joint PPV. I'd be happy with that.

Main event was good, but not too special. Became pretty obvious who was going to win once they took Stowman out of the equation. I thought it was weird booking though. I get wanting Angle to win, and that was cool and everything. But I went into it thinking that the heels would win, given the changes, and then they'd do a match similar to this once Reigns is back and helping the Shield win. If they do that now, the heels will have lost twice and look like losers. I'm also taking from the match that Strowman vs Kane will be happening, which is nothing to get excited about. Used to be a big Kane fan, and he can still go. But can't see him and Strowman working well together one on one. I can't help but feel that being happy at seeing Angle wrestling again made me think this match was slightly better than it was.

Tag match was good.

Enzo is shit and dragged the match down to shit levels.

Asuka debut was okay. Was hoping for a more dominant win and I still don't like Emma. It was like they were putting Emma on level with Asuka though, and that's just wrong. But I guess you don't want to completely bury Emma. She needs to improve though I think, and thankfully she's not the worst.

Womens title match was okay. Wish they'd stop writing the feuds over bullshit reasons though. "I don't like you because you're old". Fuck off, worst reason for a match ever. Well, one of. And when you get people like Angle going in for the main event, why isn't his age mentioned? Oh that's right, because they don't make bullshit reasons for the mens feuds or promos. They still talk about the womens revolution yet books a feud based on saying someones old. And this isn't the first time where a shitty reason has been used like the women are all bitchy school girls. Maybe they need some female writers or something. Good to see that Mickie is still as good as ever.

Couldn't give a shit about Elias. But he put on a better match than Enzo. So many talented Cruiserweights and Enzo is the one being pushed. Elias can put on a better match.

Was an okay PPV really. The Balor vs Styles match was really great. Most other matches were okay and the main event was good.

I legit laughed out loud at the "lived up to the 3 day hype" comment.
