Rio Ferdinand is launching a new career as a professional boxer, two years after he retired from football.
The 38-year-old's move into the ring is being backed by betting company Betfair, which announced the news on Tuesday.
Former Manchester United and England defender Ferdinand works as a TV pundit and he has his own clothing line.
"I'm doing this because it's a challenge," he said. "I've won titles and now I'm aiming for a belt."
He has posted several social media videos in recent months showing him boxing and working with personal trainer Mel Deane.

What's funny is that he's not even applied for his licence yet. The British Boxing Board of Control have said that the announcement was a complete surprise for them.

"It was surprising that anybody would announce anything without contacting the governing body," BBBofC general secretary Robert Smith told Sky Sports.

"I have not received an application so there's nothing to consider. I heard, for the first time, on the radio [on Monday night].

"If we receive an application we will consider it, as we have to do. But we've had no correspondence from Mr. Ferdinand."

He's already changed his mind in one sense, as it's no longer going to be a career, but one fight. He'll then see how he feels from there.

Started out saying he wanted a title... now it's just the one fight. Reckons he's taking it seriously, yet already changing his mind.

It's actually a bit of an insult to all Pro Boxers to make out like he can at close to 40 and minimum training what some pro boxers can't do in 20 years lol.

I had to go check this... He did actually say that he's hanging up his gloves... Pure gold. While we're at it, I'm hanging up my gloves too. Didn't like boxing anyway 😋
