SummerSlam is two months away, lots of rumoured matches are flying about. What do you think the card will be? Or alternatively, what would you book on the card?

I would book it a little something like this:

WWE Universal Title
Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe

WWE Title
Jinder Mahal vs John Cena

Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor

Braun Strowman vs Seth Rollins

Kurt Angle vs Triple H (rumoured, but I'd personally pass on this)

AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura

RAW Womens Title
Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks

Cruiserweight Title
Neville vs Enzo Amore

This isn't a full card just some ideas.

According to the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter the main event for SummerSlam has been changed.

Meltzer is confirming that following Roman Reigns‘ announcement that he will be facing the winner of Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship the new SummerSlam main event is penciled in to be: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Roman Reigns.

Originally Lesnar was expected to face Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship. Lesnar would then move on to defend the championship against Roman Reigns next year at WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.

Now that their match is happening at SummerSlam, unless WWE plans on doing Lesnar vs Reigns III, that would mean that the main event for WrestleMania 34 has changed as well. Meltzer did speculate that since John Cena is now a “free agent” they could go the route of pulling the trigger on Reigns vs Cena.

You really see them letting Joe beat Brock?

With a Strowman interference, I could see it happening.

I can see them having Reigns go over Strowman at GBOF and doing Reigns v Lesnar at SummerSlam with Reigns walking out as champion. That's what they eventually want, him to beat Lesnar for the belt. It'll happen sooner rather than later I reckon as then the belt is back on Raw all the time.

Rumor has it that ole Fish Boiler (Finn) will be facing Bray Wyatt at Summerslam. Well they could have a feud which would lead to Fish Boiler needing to call upon the Demon King and we get the epic entrance we've been waiting for!

I like the latest rumors of Braun fucking up the Raw main event next week to give us a fourway at Summerslam.

Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe vs Braun Strowman (winner: Samoa Joe who puts Lesnar to sleep even though the presumed idea of a multi-man match would be so Lesnar doesn't take the fall).

Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor

The Hardyz vs The Revival

AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens for the US Title

Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose vs The Miztourage (Miz, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel)

The New Day vs The Usos for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles

Charlotte vs Naomi for the Smackdown Women's Championship (Carmella cash-in after match with Ellsworth assistance following his suspension)

John Cena vs (sigh) Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin for the MITB Briefcase

Other matches

If they take the belt off Lesnar by doing a Fatal Four Way, which they absolutely should do. They aren't going to have Joe put him to sleep. Its a nice thought and if WWE had balls they would do it. But I've been waiting for a shocking surprise like that to happen in WWE and it just never happens. But it would make Joe man. It would. It really is a golden opportunity. If they are putting the belt on anyone it will probably be Roman.

This is pretty much how I see it going now. Although I hope the SD Tag Titles can come up with something just a little more exciting than yet another New Day/Uso match.

Neither will Rusev, Randy Orton, the Raw women, or Neville. I just haven't figured out how they'll fit in yet. Shesaro might be defending in a triple threat against the Hardyz and Revival, or maybe they defend against someone else entirely. Maybe Rusev vs Orton is on for Summerslam or maybe they both have someone else set. Maybe they go Cena vs AJ and do a complete curveball throwing us Jinder vs Shinsuke only to have Baron cash in on Shinsuke after the match. Will the Raw women have a fatal fourway, or will it be Alexa vs Sasha again? Those are the tougher ones to predict at this particular moment.

I did leave off one match I'm pretty sure on, though.

Kurt Angle vs Triple H

First things first, as far as WWE never delivering a "shocking surprise," I think we could all point to Goldberg spearing, jackhammering, and pinning Brock in a minute as a pretty shocking (and stupid) surprise given that a moment like that would have been MUCH MUCH better suited for Joe. Just imagine if their match last week was entrances, Joe hits his finisher, Joe slaps on the clutch, Brock passes out, new champion, cut to Heyman staring in shock and terror at Joe. Samoa Joe would have been the official baddest man on planet Earth after something like that.

I think it's unlikely that Joe puts him to sleep as well, and that's really just my own personal hope for the match, but I really do think that Joe is winning the belt at Summerslam. So if he does, who can take a clean pinfall or submission if it is a fatal fourway? WWE does indeed seem convinced that only Bill Goldberg and Undertaker are allowed to look really dominant against Brock Lesnar, because we all know that Goldberg and Taker need the credibility with the fans. Roman Reigns ain't doing close to a clean job by pinfall or submission for anyone unless he's recently failed a drug test. That leaves Braun. They just had him walk off an attempted murder by high speed ambulance crash into semi-trailer. I don't think he's going to passing out from the pain of a Coquina Clutch anytime soon. If my prediction comes true and Joe does win, someone has to take the fall. Brock is the champion, and Joe's storylines have all been running with him while Reigns and Strowman have been having a pretty great feud of their own. I think Brock has been loving the work that Joe has been doing with him, so I think Brock would be willing to put him over since Brock will be getting the belt back from him at the Rumble.

Well I am hoping you are right. I want Joe to have the belt also. How refreshing would it be if Joe beat Brock straight up. Some where down the line they are going to have to do something like that.

But here is how I see it actually playing out. Roman pins Joe. Roman and Braun feud over the title for the next coming months. Lesnar disappears again.
