Orton was fun when he was part of the Wyatt family. Was boring before then as a face. Became boring the moment he turned on Bray. They just do not know how to write him as a face, and he's not believable as one. The Wyatt feud helped neither guy really as it was just way too gimmicky.
But yeah, with injuries and all that, he's had a lot of time off that hasn't hurt the product at all which is quite telling really. I like the guy as a wrestler, but he's not someone that is overly needed. Best thing they can do with him really is to turn him heel and keep him as one, whilst hoping that he can remain injury free.
I think they Wyatt feud would have been great if Bray hadn't moved to Raw. It just kind of ended.
I miss Orton being the heel that was punting people in the head and stuff. I know he can't use the punt anymore, but still that heel Orton was pretty fun.

Orton has made a career of being the 'B' guy... when that happens, you often become Mr Irrelevant. He's the filler, he's the replacement, or the plan B. so yeah, he pretty much is irrelevant.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
Orton is great. Can see why people think he's boring at times, but he's like the typical WWE wrestler who's been brought up through their system and has an old school vibe about some of his matches, wearing people down and shit like that. He's somehow found himself in that position where he's a main eventer who is not missed when he's off injured or filming something.
I guess you could call him Mr Irrelevant because of that.

He's a WWE staple. He will always be a WWE guy and I like that about him. He hasn't left wrestling to take on other careers, wrestling IS his career. I appreciate that. It's kinda become the smarky thing to hate on the guy, but I still like him. I find his matches enjoyable.
Exactly. He's good and can work a match better than most people. Maybe never make him a face again, since as mentioned, he doesn't come across well in those. Like it doesn't seem natural to him. This is the guy that shat is someones handbag, remember. Being a dick is what comes naturally to him. Let him be the heel that he should be for the rest of his WWE days.

It just seems like Orton has been coasting for a few years now. Like hes just kind of there and hasnt really been relevant in a while. Even when he won the title, it just didn't seem like a relevant reign. If we removed Orton from the WWE today, I don't think it would have any impact on the product. He's just been coasting along. The stuff he did with the Wyatt was probably the coolest thing he's done in a long time. What do you all think?
