WWE Money In The Bank 2017 - Smackdown PPV

Corbin is the odd one out there for the MITB match. Makes me think that he'll be walking out as the winner. It really wouldn't surprise me either as he's been losing a lot of late and that's usually their go to. Have someone on a losing run and then it's a "surprise" when they win something important like this. That or their go to is to have Reigns win it 😋

Nice to see Smackdown utilising their champion, unlike Raw. Their first match was actually better than I expected. Hopefully this one improves on it though. Make it less about the Singh Brothers being a distraction and more about Jinder working hard to keep the belt. Don't mind them getting involved, but keep it to a minimum. They don't need to be helping him all the way through the match with distractions.

I'm going to this one in St. Louis.  I figure the pop for Orton will be fucking massive. Should be a good show.

I think we are going to see the women do some awesome shit in the Womens MITB. Especially someone like Charlotte, she seems to go above and beyond for these type of things. It'll either be really good or really bad. No inbetween 😋

They haven't revisited Rusev's demand for a World Title shot at MITB. I think it is kind of weird.

Two, I also love that the women that have been wrestling week after week on Smackdown all have to battle it out in a ladder match whilst Lana just walks into a title match having done nothing.

To be fair, they built a story around it where Naomi was pissed off with Lana and wanted her in a match, even saying she'll put her title on the line to get it.

They shouldn't put the title on Lana, which I could see them doing. Naomi should defeat Lana.  The longer Naomi holds onto the belt, the more legit she gets, and the more legit the belt gets. Hot shotting it to someone who hasn't even had a match on Smackdown just wouldn't make much sense.

Not sure whether I like there being a womens MITB. Not because they're women either, but because half of them just aren't good enough. Should be the kind of thing to do once they've boosted the roster a bit more and have better divisions. I'm sure I'll be entertained by it though, so long as Carmella takes a ladder to the face.

I saw the other day that it's meant to be in Orton's home town. Think we can safely put this down as the first actual title defence since AJ lost the title, as there's no way Orton wins the title in his home town. They'll want Jinder to soak up that heel heat from winning.

Much like all of 2017, outside of the Royal Rumble, this show was bad...

I mean some of the matches were decent enough i thought the girls MITB match turned out better than i expected same for New Day vs Usos

Called it. Bullshit move though. By far the least talented guy in the match and I just don't see anything in him.

Think the same with Carmella. Load of shit. Funny with Ellsworth, but I hope she's one of the ones that unsuccessfully cashes in the contract.

Only got to watch the last hour in a half of the PPV about. Will go back and rewatch what I missed tonight probably. But from what I saw. Jinder vs. Orton was meh until Orton started beating up everyone. That is the Orton I love to see, just brutal and badass. I feel this is how they are going to keep Jinder interesting, because that whole part was alot more entertaining than the straight up match before it all happened.

As for the mens MITB match. It was an average MITB match for me but it had a few good moments in it. It had one GREAT moment when AJ and Nakamura did a stare down and then they went at it for a good minute or so. Giving us a little taste of what might come in the future. It was freaking awesome. Also when Nakamura came back into the match, man did the fans love it. He took over the match and looked bad ass doing it. He destroyed everyone and it was amazing. I don't mind Corbin winning. He really needed a win like this.

Also what is with the random Ascension appearance? These guys are a dead tag team, they aren't going to get over anymore, it is way to late for that. I guess it was for filler to give Breezango an easy win, but this could have been on Smackdown.

I agree a woman should have taken the briefcase down.

Womens MITB: A good match that made use of the ladders well. I'm fine with Ellsworth grabbing the briefcase, good heel heat, I'm not so fine with the sloppy execution of said spot.

Tag Title Match: Great match, disappointing countout finish.

Womens Title Match: Lana was better than expected, nothing special, but a decent match.

Maria and Mike Kinellis: I like that they have a solid gimmick and it will be interesting to see where they go from here.

WWE Title Match: I thought it was a pretty good match. The finish was basically a repeat of Backlash though, that was a bit lame, but overall, I thought this beat the Backlash match.

Breezango v Ascension: Who cares? Next.

Men MITB match: Match of the Night by far. Great, brutal spots. Nakamura should have come in a bit earlier but overall it was a great match and I have no complaints. Corbin winning is meh but we'll see what they do with him.

Overall, I'm giving the PPV a B-

Women's MITB match was pretty good.

Tag match was good and they all seem to work well together.

Women's title match was as expected. Mediocre.

Maria and Mike. Lost interest in that segment pretty dam quick. Can't say they are something that I look forward to more off.

WWE title match was good. Was a bit obvious that Orton's dad would have some involvement in the outcome though so no surprise to see them use him to distract Orton.

Thought we were going to see the Ascension get a little push going. Nope, they're still chumps.

MITB match was great. Shame that they didn't have Nakamura in it more. Also thought it weird that they didn't have Ziggler attack him, unless they've decided that the one match between them is feud over, as you'd imagine he'd be more pissed at Corbin than Ziggler right now. Some great bumbs in it and a god effort by everyone. Shame Corbin won tho.

Also, had a laugh after the match where they focused on a fan who had the biggest, sore looking spot on the neck that I've seen.
