They are too little. Vince can only stomach pushing so many little guys. Plus, they already come with BAD mainstream publicity. If they leave without putting someone over for the title, that stinks of Mike Awesome and ECW.
I just don't get why they wouldn't have gotten them resigned. WWE has never, to my knowledge, had interest in them. If ROH was bent on not resigning them at this time, they should have put the title on Matt Hardy. SCUM is a cool group and having the champ leading them would have been awesome.
Don't watch much ROH. Saw that they had a show on Saturday or Sunday nights & watched it a bit. Reminded me of old, poor wwf in the way back. Poor production qualities and the like. And I HATE spot-fest wrestling. Say what you want about wwe, but their style is more believable than the X-Division stuff. All that "I jump on you and you lift me up and I grab you here and then you shift me and then I grab an arm JUST TO DO AN arm drag on you" stuff... looks terrible in my opinion. The only guys, IMO to pull off the X-Division stuff was AJ Styles, and RVD vs Jerry Lynn in the olden days.
Now days it looks like people in the X-Division do the stuff, just because its what is expected. I feel that isn't what the X-Division used to be, just was supposed to be crazy. Now it just seems like they go through the motions instead of just doing their thing.

wwe has one thing right. They completely limit what the wrestlers can do. They all have the basics, arm drag, hip toss, clothesline, punch punch punch, suplex, etc, but no one does anything CRAZY. Every wrestler has his 'highspots, but its like 3-10 big moves, otherwise it's the same moves for every match. They let the chainwrestling & back and forth wrestling tell the story, more than the 'hey look at all the crazy shit I can do' sell the match.
Look at Dean Ambrose. He's a frikin great wrestler, but you're just seeing the basics from him, as well as s few great spots here and there. He's really gotten into the promos and the facial expressions of selling the match. (Also, I saw him at my gym a few months ago... he's a little guy... about my size... just... with bigger arms).
It's like in e-fedding... everyone has three dozen AMAZING moves in their list. Every e-fedder has like 25 finishers as their 'signature moves.' That's either... A: showing how bad ass their enemies are to keep going on after getting hit by huge move after huge move, or 😎 Showing how BAD the wrestler is by hitting these HUGE moves, but not being able to pin their opponent.
WWE has a set number of moves that no one else because they are selling how bad ass those moves are. X Division guys just jump around and go from hight spot to high spot without really telling a story. I'm not against it. If every match was Dean malenko vs Rey mysterio, I'd watch all the time, but most are like Zima Ion vs Amazing Red... ug.

That's not fair because Zema Ion cannot put on a good match to save his life. He is fit and athletic, but he cannot wrestle at all.

well, you have me there, but look at his hair... it's FABULOUS.
Ion is fine. Other than nearly killing Jesse Sorensen, he's been as good as anyone in that division.

Yeah as good as anyone in a division that was ruled by Kenny King for half a year. Ion can't touch Sabin.

Sabin is good. wasn't he wwe bound?
I always liked Sabin but he did seem to get injured often.

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
Is Alex Shelley in TNA? I always thought he was more charismatic of the duo, I loved the MCMG tho.

Shelley has been gone for a bit but he was the better of the two. All around.
I thought Shelley was always the better of the two. Just a more sound wrestler overall, I miss him in TNA

I always preferred Sabin. But I have a knack for liking the generally-lesser-liked team member. Like Christian and Matt Hardy. And Brian Kendrick.

well if the MCMG go to wwe, prepare to get broken up. Vince likes to break up tag teams and choose one of them to make a star and the other to be Janetty'd.
Chris Sabin always seemed to be the more liked of the two, hes more fan friendly

I always thought Sabin was the more popular of the 2 an the bigger name, but Shelley was more talented. Plus I think it's general consensus that Kendrick > London

IMO, TNA should dump the old wwe guys and go for an all cruiserweight roster... like WEC was all middleweights. That way they could present a product that was different than wwe and exciting. Not every match needs to be an X division match, but X guy vs Y guy (both about the same weight) would add a bit of realism to the matches. Sabin, Shely, Daniels, Kaz, AJ, AA, the roster is STACKED with lighter guys with loads of talent.

What does ROH have to do with the x-division?

Most of the old "WWE" guys they have their are more TNA guys now. Bully Ray is more of a TNA guy than he was a WWE guy, he's been their longer and has recreated himself in TNA. Kurt Angle is a TNA guy now. Matt Morgan is a TNA guy now. Maybe someone like Jeff Hardy can be considered an old WWE guy, but it makes sense to have Jeff Hardy on your roster if you are any wrestling company.

Ha. ROH has a bunch of little guys, who, if they were in TNA, they'd be in the X Division.
Whats with all the ROH hate though?

Maybe, but they wrestle a different style. TNA matches are shorter and are mostly high spots, but ROH matches tend to build to the big stuff. Admittedly there's usually a spotty match once per card and it tends to be of the hardcore variety, but most ROH matches aren't spot fests.
However, if you want to say that ROH is over the top with false finishes, I can agree with that. But there's almost always some build and some in ring story telling before all of the finishers and super moves come out
I just don't see these two in WWE. They are an independent act. They could never work in the main stream. Without major tweeking of course.
