The BROKEN Saga

Well after that Tweet I think it's definitely fair to say that they won't be returning to TNA. If TNA didn't insist on recording a month or twos worth of shows all at once they wouldn't have this problem. They also wouldn't have the problem of people knowing a title change takes place weeks before it actually airs on TV either, but that's TNA for you.

Just just Matt burning bridges with a tweet... TNA are burning bridges with RoH. I thought they were meant to have a working relationship. That'll be awkward now.

Reby Hardy is still going off on one on Twitter about TNA. Not for much longer though as TNA are going the legal route and so are the Hardys who have mentioned previously that the Broken gimmick belongs to Matt - at least they believe it does.

The Hardyz are probably in the right, but Reby Sky just annoys the shit out of me.

Just before Reby posted about no longer posting on Twitter, she had this little rant. Can't believe I missed this before.

If they can show dated documentation and video clips the way she's saying they can, then TNA don't really have a leg to stand on!

The best part of her rant was "Fun facts ! Maxel was never legally cleared to work/appear on camera. Wanna check them TV child labor laws & get back to me, TNA ?"

Er, pretty sure that they didn't force you to put Maxwel on camera or into a ring like at Final Deletion. So really, if he wasn't legally cleared and child labour laws need to be looked into, then they should also check into their parenting. Why did they even allow their son to do that? You can't bitch about child labour laws when you as a parent agreed to do it and was in all likelihood written by Matt since he's made it clear that he has creative control over his character. They put him in that position.

Her tweets are probably going to hurt the hardys in court.

She's a nutcase. Spends so much time writing shit on Tiwtter that she probably has no clue as to what is going on. The thing is, it's not going to help the Hardys at all. People were on their side over it all, not that that means anything. After Ruby keeps spouting of shit, people will stop backing the Hardys over it as they just come across as whiny little bitches. Well she does, but it projects across to them since she's voicing about her husbands problems and their problems with TNA.

The Maxel comment was hilarious. The Senor Benjamin comment was hilarious.

Her last one does have a point though. If TNA wanted the name, they should have filed for it before Matts contract expired. WWE wouldn't have made that mistake and would have had the Broken gimmick tied down as theirs from the moment it aired on TV.

Anthem has put a "trademark" symbol on all of its old Youtube videos featuring the "Broken" characters with Matt and Jeff Hardy. Check out the screenshot below:

Good to see Ruby stuck to what she said as well. She doesn't seem all there, but who cares when it's providing so much entertainment. She needs to back up what she's saying though. If she's gone through the legal process of trademarking like she says, should be easy enough to prove and back up.

No it's business. It's the same reason the Dudley Boys are Team 3D outside of WWE and why Cody is Cody without the Rhodes.

Codys is slightly different to the Dudleys. He's not allowed to use Rhodes on TV outside of WWE. So they can advertise him as Cody Rhodes on posters and things like that, but not on TV - even though I'm sure I saw a video advertising him where they used Cody Rhodes.. I like it like that, as he still gets to pick up business on his name value and once he's on TV who cares about a last name? It's good going. Although their problem is that they can't trademark Cody as that's his actual first name.

It is all business though. WWE build up the name value and don't want others capitalising on it. You don't invest money in something a character only for someone else to then make money off them. I've always been surprised with WWE when it came to John Cena. Came in as a no-one and they let him keep his actual name. They probably didn't expect him to get so over though. Can't trademark his real name though.

If Matt proves that the trademark for Broken is his, TNA are going to look pretty petty. If TNA own it then I can understand them not wanting him to use it elsewhere as it's clearly a moneymaker.

Cody is one of the most retarded names for a wrestler in history. And I'm pretty sure Matt did prove that in a recent tweet. I'll have to double check though.

I don't get why it's taken so long to prove. Surely you know and have proof it it's yours, so could easily have stopped all of this from happening.

So they only filed it a month ago? No wonder TNA are complaining - although they should have filed for it before then if they wanted it, they surely knew when their contracts were up and the Broken gimmick has been huge for them. Shows Dixie didn't have a clue and the new owners should have had that sorted the moment they walked in. Likewise Matt should have filed for it ages ago too to avoid any of this nonsense.
