Only watched the Rumble match and fell asleep twice through it. Just gave up in the end and watched it the next day.
The reason WWE decided to bring Roman Reigns back for the Royal Rumble in the #30 position is to get the biggest possible face reaction for Randy Orton winning the match.
WWE knew that when they trotted out Reigns as the last entrant, the fans would hate it and possibly expect him to win too. When Orton finally eliminated Reigns, instead it generated a favorable pop which is what the company wanted.
Reigns also had to participate in the Royal Rumble in order to begin his storyline with Undertaker leading into WrestleMania.
Haha. So Orton the heel... WWE want him to get a face reaction... fuck it, lets send out the guy that we want to be the face of the company haha.
Out of the pasty white gingers, it made me laugh when Jack Gallagher showed more character in five minutes than Sheamus has in 5 years.

Lesnar could have, at least, easily.

I still don't get why they didn't have Lesnar come out a lot earlier. Would have evened the pace a bit better and the fans anticipation could build waiting for Goldberg to come out. Lesnar was the only one that could easily have lasted much longer and they still could have done Goldberg throwing him out easily within 2 minutes of Goldberg hitting the ring, but Lesnar should have come out earlier.
Everyone knew this confrontation was going to happen. Most people wanted to see it. The crowd certainly did. Have Lesnar come out at something like 15. Then every time someone new comes out fans would be waiting for Goldberg. The reaction he'd have gotten when he finally came out would have blown the roof off.
The rumble match was 6 stars.
AJ vs Cena... eh 2 stars or so.
