I thought no-one would want to talk about it lol.
Besides the glitches, I think it's a solid game and it's still in its infancy... wait until they add trading, breeding and newer generation of Pokemon (all confirmed to be coming in the future).
The only problem with it is I get 45 minutes to an hour starting from full battery and my phone is dead. It surprisingly takes very little data though, at least in my case.

Yeah it's killing my battery. For some odd reason on WiFi my phone gets ridiculously hot, but on 4g it seems okay. You'd think k it'd be the other way around. It's a proper battery killer though. I turned the camera off to help, but it's not done much.

Check your phone settings. The reason you may be getting really hot while your on Wi-Fi is the location setting is at max so it's using the Wi-Fi and GPS on your phone to track you. I noticed when I changed the main phone setting to only track using Wi-Fi or track only amusing GPS my phone stayed cool.
I've been enjoying the game, though because the battery dies so quickly it does limit... I wonder why it's such a power sink... My main issue has been its inability to authenticate when try to log in. It's got better, but even so, it is irritating to be locked out of the game for an undetermined period of time with no explanation as to why. I am wondering as to the longevity of the game though.

Well there's over 721 Pokemon as well as a new set of Pokemon in November so they'll keep people busy for a while adding new Pokemon. Also like I said above, breeding and trading are features to be added. I do think the novelty will die down a bit when they go into later generations though as most casual fans only know the first generation.

Yeah I'm a first generation guy. Can't say I know much Pokemon outside of the original 150. But I'm sure I'll keep going. Would be nice if they could make it less of a battery drainer though, that would certainly help.
It would be nice, but I expect if to be really heavy on CPU usage with all those graphics, the GPS and everything.... It doesn't really surprise me that it's sch a battery sink

How are people doing on it? Currently on 74 different Pokemon and on level 17. Not as good as some people I know, but I can't say I'm playing it as much as they are. I just want to catch them all without going to a gym.

I can't say I was overly enthusiastic about it. Cool idea and all that, but I loved the first few games and that seemed to be it. My girlfriend really wanted to get play it last week and demanded that I did too to have a competition between each other, which has actually made it more fun than I thought it would be.
Best part is that my GPS goes nuts at times, so I don't really need to do the walking to hatch an egg. Can just be sat here with my phone beside my keyboard and laugh to myself as my guy walks up and down my street. Ideal lol. And at the top of my road appears to be one of the busiest sections in Plymouth for Pokestops and finding wild ones, so even better.
