Interesting details being released about the price of the 2 consoles, with the PS4 coming in at £100 cheaper than the Xbox One and Sony also announcing that they will have no limitations or charges on Pre Owned games and that the PS4 will not require periodic connection to the internet to validate the console like the Xbox One does.
Sounds like Microsoft might have to rethink their pricing structure, or face being seriously shafted considering for the first time, both Consoles are set to be released at around the same time, where previously they had been released a whole year apart.

If microsoft wouldn't lose billions of dollars they would probably just delay the whole console and restructure it in order to sell this thing... right now Nintendo is even smiling... and yesterday Sony sealed the deal with me.. gaming free agent no more 😄
also here is this for a laugh.

Exactly the same with me. Shame I can't get Halo... but that's a small problem compared to the shit that Microsoft have pulled with their new Xbox.
It's crazy how Microsoft have ruined the console. The limitations on games is just ridiculous. PS4 is looking better than ever. I can't wait to see more of that.

I haven't seen the Sony presentation of it yet, but my mate told me that it was hilarious as they mentioned that they're giving us a gaming console, stressing the word gaming. That's just brilliant.
Best thing Sony could have done was to wait until Microsoft did their release and watch peoples reactions, and they've played it up so that they look so much better.
I just watched both and it's actually pretty funny. They didn't mention the One at all, but said that you can do whatever you want with games once you buy them, and that they don't require any online validation at all. Huge pops for both. Oh, and this!

So we can import, hassle free. Next time the EU gets overlooked, it won't matter. Yehey!

^ That's awesome.

Another reason not to buy one!

A lot of profiles have been banned in error.

You think at this point, Microsoft would just stay quiet and hope to god they haven't screwed themselves too much...

That's just... wow... so you can spend £40 on a game and not be able to play it... even though you'd paid for it. They just keep on hammering in more nails to their coffin.
I saw late last night an article where someone was saying that during the demo's of the Xbox One, they were actually playing on a high end gaming system PC instead of the Xbox One. Some have been saying that the graphics cards in these PC's would be up to 3 times faster than the one Microsoft have claimed will be in the Xbox One.
Take your pick from one of these Google Searches to read about it.

worth the watch... very useful this coming gen.
HAHA....

I am like belly. I haven't had a sony console since the ps2 but I was very happy with it. I was having the conversation with my wife last night because she had heard about the xbox one on tv and she said we should get it for our son for his birthday. I quickly let her know that it was a huge rip off and that would be going back to sony for our gaming needs. Microsoft has made their gaming experience so proprietary that you can't even wipe your ass without letting them know or else you lose your ability to play. Sony has always been a great company and it looks like they are getting my business back.
It seems not only are Microsoft trying to rip people off, they aren't even apologetic about it. The way they have dealt with annoyed fans is ridiculous. Telling people that "if you don't have internet, stick to the 360" clearly shows they have a vision in mind and whether the fans like it or not, that's what their doing. Surely the whole point of the console is to provide fans with something they want, not something Microsoft wants.
PS4 has had a shitload of pre-orders because they've won over most of the Microsoft fans. It seems Microsoft don't really care about how many fans their losing, cos they always know best.

BREAKING NEWS: MICROSOFT HAVE COMPLETELY CHANGED THEIR MINDS

Thanks Taker_2004 for the banner!
So we can now play Games offline etc after a once only log in and a Day One Update which absolutely, positively has nothing to do with this reversal in ideas haha....
For me.. Its too little, too late... As this is something they are obviously wanting to introduce at some point down the line...

Off the Xbox Facebook Page
We at Xbox love games. More importantly, we at Xbox love gamers. Today we announced changes to Xbox One and how you can play, share, loan and resell your games exactly as you do today on Xbox 360. Also, an internet connection won’t be required to play offline Xbox One games. We look forward to gaming with you for years to come

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even with these changes, aren't XBOX users still forced to buy Kinect* with the XBox One? And how are people going to download the patch on Day One if they have no internet to begin with?

Yeah, Kinect is still in the box. It's not really an optional extra anymore though, it's something they want developers to use in creating games so it's become an essential part of the console. Yeah it drives the price up a bit, but really Kinect isn't a big deal.
I'm happy with this news, they've listened and instead of getting defensive they've actually sorted their shit out and made things better. We lose the discless gaming feature, but who cares about that anyway? Kudos to MS for backtracking.
In a way this makes me appreciate what they were going for as well as the reversion. They were trying to take a bigger step towards cloud gaming, making things different, progressing. They went about it the wrong way, but it's nice to know they're thinking about this stuff beyond a "share" button.

I'm still not buying one. They are assholes. You can't just say "Fuck you because we are going to do things our way regardless of your opinions." and then when the obvious revolt starts turn around and say "We love gamers and we value their opinions so much that we didn't listen to them until it was going to cost us billions of dollars"
Yeah, I'm a Sony guy, but even if I was a Microsoft guy, I would still not buy one. They already told people "If you don't like it, stick to the 360" which is a big middle finger to anyone who's ever sent cash their way in games, consoles, stupid Kinect crap etc...
I think they just realized that if they kept it this way, they'd probably sell barely any units and now their trying to save face by saying they care about the consumer and everything when clearly they don't. I guess if you really love XBox, this is a good thing, but I think even with the reversal they've put a lot of people off for good. Not me, mind you. I was and always will be a Sony and Nintendo guy. 😄

I got this info right as it came up last night.... i'm now thinking... but still leaning with the ps4... it's fucking Killer Instinct that is making me go back and forth now
Basically Gamestop said flat out fuck your drm and trade in polices and said they wouldn't carry in MS products after the 360... so that had a huge part in this... all in all they are trying now... the cocky shit they were doing last week isn't helping much though as the posts i have read so far i have no problem with anyone saying "too late" ect.... they shot themselves a few times in the foot.
After tracking down the source that Belly posted i'm officially not interested in this at all... even if Killer Instinct is an exclusive title for microsoft... it's just really going to suit my life in all honesty... i'm buying a game console to play games and borrow share trade in and play the games i really liked years later down the line and it sounds like its possible we wont be able to do that after years go by and a new xbox comes out (assuming the don't go under in the video game world) it just kinda sucks... i need a new console though... so hopefully the ps4 has more pros then cons for what i'm looking for.
Then there is this
