really nobody has any thoughts on this one? i thought this series had more fans here... don't let Origins get ya down... Rocksteady is back to continue the story of city.
Arkham Knight is a new character created by the developers and is the main villain of the game....Scarecrow is sorta leading the charge...
other bad guys include...
Penguin
Two-Face
Quinn
Riddler
you get to destroy stuff with the tumbler in this too.
I'm excited for it. I just hope that they release it for the 360, as I refuse to get one of the new gen consoles just yet.
Also, it seems a bit too soon following Arkham Origins. If there was a bit more of a gap then I'd be more excited.
It really does seem like the majority of people didn't like Origins at all... i didn't think it was bad...
No dice on the 360 though... this is one of those games they make to get people on the fence to give in and buy the new console.... i will as i'm getting bored with current gen.... sadly that didn't take long, but it's going to be a bit yet, i have stuff to do in the next few months including moving.
I didn't mind Origins, but I'm yet to complete it as I take my time with games. I can only play games for so long before I get bored of playing and go back to them later on. Although I did complete the 2 before quite fast.
If they only release it for the new gen consoles then I guess that rules me out of getting it. Don't have £400 to spare to buy one, and I like my older games - I hate that I'd either have to have 2 consoles, or sell the games that I enjoy.

You'll get a chance at it someday... it might be a while right now.. but that doesn't mean never.
and i hear ya, i kinda need to grab a ps4 soon if i'm going to... i'm moving this summer and my lady and i want to start taking settling down more serious and get set up somewhere steady and have a baby... i need to be a dad before i get too old... so it's kinda like i need to grab one before the kids come cause otherwise who knows when i'll be able to afford it.
family life is great and all but it sure is a lot of money.
It's been quiet for this game up until recently... it has a june 2nd release date and i believe that is worldwide.
The game looks incredible.
It's actually the first Batman game to be rated M.
Lot's of bad guys.... i guess Batman can fight up to something like 50 bad guys at a time in this.... many major bad guys announced for this game.
they are shown in the trailer below.
One thing i was wondering because i know these games like to through plot twists into them... is what if everyone is wrong and Arkham Knight isn't the character with a mask hiding his identity... what if it's actually the Scarecrow... i just haven't forgotten about Hush or Azrael in City.... anyways if you are into this game or batman in general. Check out the new trailer.
I figured i'd post about this game since i've played through a good portion of the game.
This is a very dark Batman story...i thought the previous games were a bit dark but this game is like holy fuck i wasn't expecting that at all.... they even put quite a few jump scares in this game... thought i was going to need to change my underwear after your first encounter with a certain flying creature who makes his debut in the Arkham series.
I don't know for sure but i'm positive i figured out the Arkham Knights identity pretty much in his first encounter with batman.... at some point the game just starts giving it away too.. so if it's not who i'm thinking of they were pretty slick about it.
Batmobile is a little weird at first but if you played other battle tank type games like Battlefield then controlling the car while in tank mode isn't difficult regardless of how many enemy tanks are attacking.
Riddler race tracks and puzzles aren't very hard but the races really do become frustrating upon it's final lap... especially the last race... holy hell.
That's all i got right now... the PC version was a launch disaster so bad they issued a recall on the game for PC.
that really sucks for my PC gamer friends out there who really wanted this game.
Overall this game is wonderful so far and easily the darkest Batman out there other then the comic books.
Big negative is the removal and massive changes to the challenge maps... that's total bullshit.
I have it on PC. Came with my new video card (GTX980 oh yeah!), and I have no problems with it at all. I have friends bitching about it only being 30fps, but to be honest it still looks beautiful even at that.
It's a fun game though, really enjoying it.
Figured out the Arkham Knights identity pretty quick. First encounter, I was a bit unsure. Second encounter I was confident on who it was, just by what's been said. Will be very surprised if I'm wrong, but don't think I will be.
Considering getting this for my ps4. Any thoughts on the online multiplayer?
This game has no online Multiplayer
Ben, you know your Batman and that was the same guess i had too.
The Arkham Knight is....
I wish this game had more challenge maps... seems like there isn't a whole lot left to do once you 200% the game... not really complaining because it took a month to do it... and there is going to be quite a bit of DLC on the way... i wasn't thrilled with the price tag but i bought the season pass so i could get everything right away to complete the experience.
The Batgirl DLC was pretty fun.. i know it was only like 50 minutes long but it was nice... i guess next month they are releasing a sweet Michael Keaton Batman skin and 89 Batmobile skin (likely only to be used in races) i think that neat but if they only release things once a month i'd rather a bunch of new race tracks then just two... and i don't even like the races in this game.
I heard classic challenge maps were going to be made available at some point... i sure hope so.
also has anyone 100% the game besides to see the knightfall ending? i had no idea what the hell that was supposed to be about but i read a few real detailed theories about it... but i'm still not sold on it.... so if anyone wants to explain it to me... please do.
I did the 100% game before activating Knightfall. You get a few extra scenes, the main one being a similar scene to the Waynes murders, which is what I guess you're asking about? There's been a few theories on it, but I think the general conscientious is that it's Todd reformed and taking up the mantle. I'm hoping that the last DLC will show who it is though.
Talking of DLC, it's a ridiculous price. But, you can pick it up almost a third of the price if you don't buy it though the game. cdkeys for example have it for £11.99 instead of the £29.99 that it would cost though the game. Tempted to do it just so that I can do the Batgirl DLC. Do you get the Quinn one with it as well though? I know that they're doing something every month for 6 months, but I want to know that it's worth it, even at a reduced cost.
I hope they add a DLC to follow up on that ending as well.. and yes that ending was the one i was referring to.
I have heard a few things about it now.... Batman's ghost, Batman using fear gas as well as either Drake or Todd being the new batman.... it's pretty open ended it suppose. I was kind of expecting Batman to have a serious back up plan once he got to Scarecrow so i was surprised to see Batman was feeling so beaten... but i might just be wanting too much... it's not like we won't ever get a great Batman game again... i didn't think Origins was that bad.
Anyways... the dlc. I wish i knew of that kind of deal... would that work in the US?
As far as i know Quinn and the pre-order stuff will be made available to season pass holders and others in the fall(september?)
Right now you aren't getting much at all for the price tag of the pass.... just the Batgirl chapter and Flashpoint Thomas Wayne skin... next month is just supposed to be race tracks and 89 Batman skin, but i'm guessing they are saving the bigger dlc pieces for later.
Yeah man, cdkeys sell stuff that work worldwide. Never had an issue with buying any game key through them either and they usually have some great deals on. I usually check them out when a new game is released and I get it for a massive discount compared to Steam, who I only purchase through when there's a sale. I think I'm going to get the season pass... even though people have been reporting loads of PC issues, I've not had any and it's run and looked stunning. So yeah, I think I'll get the season pass.
Oh on PC i think they delayed Batgirl until September! i could be wrong but i'm 99% sure i read that.
Yeah, I brought it and got fuck all so far... I think they've delayed everything until September when they release the patch so that it will work properly on even the minimum specs. Ah well, I picked up the Harley Quinn DLC for £1.75 and spent an enjoyable, but little amount of time doing that.
I'm sorry to hear that!
I wasn't even thinking about the Pc version while we were talking and i knew you were playing on PC too... so i feel a little bummed out if i had convinced you to make the purchase.
atleast you got the Harley pack out of it, even though that was very short i thought it was pretty neat and interesting to hear how Harley's mind works... i kinda figured it was something like that anyways... i've been awayf from pretty much everything new 52... so i feel a bit lost when it comes to what they are doing now in the batman universe, but it does seem for the most part anyways the Arkham games use their own continuity as well as the classic 80s-2000 batman lore... i really had no clue who Pyg was until i researched him.
Only reason i knew who the deacon was because i read the cult, a few years back... very interesting story... kind of reminded me of the No Man's land series.
Also hey do you have any exclusive pc skins? i heard the batman beyond and i think maybe it year one batman skins were exclusive to pc? anyways i was just wondering if that was true i didn't feel like googling it.
Don't worry mate, you didn't convince me to get it, I convinced myself due to mentioning the bargain price I'd found. Hopefully will be worth is when the pc patches come out.
I think I have year one skins, I'm not sure. I'll have to load it up and see. Definitely know that I don't have the Batman Beyond skin tho.
Well the season pass is finally working on the PC version. Done the Harley Quinn and Red Hood add-ons. Will do the rest sometime soon. Glad I got this now, even if I did have to wait since the end of July to be able to actually play it - they allowed you to buy the season pass but neglected to say that nothing would be released on it until the PC patch was released, so I've been feeling like I wasted money on it until now.
If you have this on PC, and you brought it though Steam then you can get refunds now, no questions asked, no matter how long you've played it, as long as you request it before the end of the year.
I won't be doing that though, as I've had no issues with the actual game - I didn't spend £1.5k 6 months ago, building my PC, for it to struggle with games. And it doesn't. I enjoyed it, so have no intention of being cheeky and requesting a refund. No issues, enjoyed it and will likely play it again in the future once I've finished with all the add-ons.
In december they are adding i think 4 new main game side missions with Mr. Freeze. Killer Croc. Mad Hatter and Ra's and the league of assassins. i think it's cool they will be added to the main game.... gives me another reason to give it a replay... a lot of the race tracks and challenge maps they have added are great fun too.
Ideal. I have 50 hours of game time so far haha. 48 hours to complete the game 100%, 2 hours of just messing around and doing some addons. If they're adding more people top the main game, I'll definitely play it again sometime - challenge myself to complete it in less than 48 hours even with the additions.
It's always funny that i keep coming back to this game when i get bored... and i still have Fallout 4 and the Creed game to play too.... but with the dlc coming out every month the entire game seems huge now compared to when it came out... and we still have the side missions pack coming next month and a few other things.
it does kinda suck that the arkham stories dlc is short gameplay usually 12-20 mins depending on what you do.... but with something like 6 of them out it kinda feels like its not so bad that they are short.
and i love the challenge maps or AR challenges... those are what always kept the old games going for me and now there are more than ever before... and we still have one or two more packs of those coming.
also a new patch came out that buffed some of the characters like Batgirl with new take downs and Harley with a few upgrades like more health and can do a special take down at 5 hit combo now.... really makes this game so much fun.
This was the first game I got with my PS4, and I wasn't let down. Got 100%, then downloaded all the extras and it went to 110% or something like that. Loved the game, wasn't too crazy about the Batmobile though as some of those Riddler races pissed me off to no end.
YES!
I don't have any words it's just going to be epic with Scarecrow leading the charge!
