It's way more then just a zombie game.. it's like a total survival mode game... you got insane people too out there... most of the zombies are blind anyways... the story was something that really stood out to me... i wont spoil it or anything but it wasn't at all what i was expecting and it was the first time in quite a while i really felt attached and cared about the characters in the game.
let me know what you think of it when you get around to it.
I finished it around this time last year. It has an amazing story that goes to some mental places. From what I remember its more military personnel & outlaws than zombies and monsters as the enemy.
Yeah, Ross is right... it does go to some really odd places and even (in my case made me question what i would have done in that situation some of the things i discovered about myself kinda scared me a little bit... i'm just glad this isn't real life....
it is also true that you mostly are hunted by military and raiders i guess with zombie like creatures thrown in... and like i said many of the monster area's you can just sneak right through.... some of the humans you encounter in this game are more frightening then the zombies... especially a character you encounter a bit later in the game.
it's a story mode i won't ever forget.. could the game have been a little more exciting? probably but that story was so amazing i'll always think highly of this game.
rare 10/10 rating from me.
I played and finished it a few months ago, probably the best story in video game history. Mix that on top of the gameplay and you got a top 5 game of the last generation. Seriously one of the best games I've ever played, it did what LA Noire and Heavy Rain tried to do and that's make a video game a movie, those games failed at it from my experiences.
Best game of the lat 3/4 years. I really hope Naughty Dog do something big for the PS4, their track record is impeccable.

Uncharted 4 is coming out next year for the PS4. Uncharted 1, 2 & 3 were all brilliant. I was never really a fan of 3rd person adventure games until Uncharted came along.
I'm doing replays for trophies as well as turning up the difficulty... i had to step back a bit because i went to the highest difficulty available and it was like oh god... especially when you have a grand total of 3 bullets and 2 arrows left and a sliver of health left and you know you are about the face off with a large group of hunters... the one where you have Ellie watch over you with a rifle while you pick off the dudes one at a time was quite tiring.

Yeah Uncharted was an awesome series. Thing is they always seem to change up their games each generation, I was hoping they'd introduce a new series. But I guess they did that with Last of Us.
Naughty Dog continue to impress me. Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us are amongst my all-time favorite video games. The characters, story, dialogue, setting, music, gameplay... all of it is top-notch. I've delved deeply - maybe too deeply - into the lore and other details around The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Left Behind. Has anyone played this? it came out last year on the ps3 but i didn't play it... i picked up the remastered version a few days ago for the ps4 and oh wow this game is amazing and it looks incredible... i would highly recommend playing this game if you have access to it...aside from graphic updates i doubt there is much of difference between consoles so if you have a ps3 you have to go play this game right now.. it's a little slow in the beginning but give it an hour or so up until you meet Ellie.
if you have played it what did you think? to me it's one of the best games i've played in years.... makes other outbreak/zombie type games look really poor...i like the idea of just trying to survive and play it stealth in the sections it allows you to... just don't get enough ammo to go on a shoot out... so that makes it even more tense it's like what resident evil should have become.
