UFC 193: Ronda Rousey Vs Holly Holm

I love Ronda, still think she's the best female fighter there is, and better than a lot of the male fighters as well. But she lost this through her own fault. You could tell that she wasn't her usual self as she behaved differently throughout than usual and it was clear that Holm's got in her head with comments before the fight. She went in seemingly in anger instead of her usual calm self with an angry game face. A bit of thinking and not too long into the first round I think everyone could tell what Rousey's game plan should have been - take Holm's down. Ronda's stand up has improved massively, but you don't try and go toe to toe with a multiple times world kick boxing champion... you take her down and go for the tap out.

That said, all credit to Holm's. Didn't let Rousey's record phase her, or the fact that she's been so dominant, and she stuck to her game plan. Cracking kick as well. Can't wait for the second leg, as we all know there'll be a part 2.

I watched the fight last night... she should have never tried to straight up box with her. i'm sure the rematch will be hype but Rhonda better bring a new gameplan.
