Injustice: Gods Among Us

I know 4w isn't a huge fighting game community anymore we lost most of those guys over the years sadly... but if anyone gives this a chance it's great fun.

me and hartigan played a best of 7 i think earlier and it was great we had a few really good fights.. he won the series 4-3 though.

I've been tempted to pick this up, but then I get bored of fighting games quite fast. Used to love Mortal Combat when I was younger, would play it all day. Now I'm older though I just get bored of them for some season. It's just not the same without the oldschool graphics 🙂

Haha yeah i also will always enjoy those old school sprites and backround graphics.. something nostalgic about them.. in particular mortal kombat 2. 😄

Yeah though i'd just give it a rent or something then if you don't think you'd be into this game for more then a week or two... it's a very good fighting game and runs just like mortal kombat but just more crazy and less gore and graphic violence. totally like a wild comic book or the fight at the end of superman 2 against Zod and his crew. 😄

I  thought the story mode was good too... more or less like a 2 hour movie with fights thrown in.. but it was fun... also every character is unlocked from the get go which is nice too.

This game has a lot of fan service thrown in it too.

well if you ever play it do post it in here i'd like to hear what a fellow comic book fan thinks of this.

EDIT: on a side note i noticed that i said in an earlier post i can't play as Bane and he sucks... i was very wrong you just have to manage his venom meter and it will fuck dudes up.. it's just funny how without his venom he does the weakest damage in the game his special will only do like 18% damage 😮 but with venom on it's like 54% damage that is quite a difference.

The only Blockbusters anywhere near me got closed or I'd go rent it this weekend. I might just go see how much it is to buy. Even if I get bored quick I can start again another day.

😄 yay! you have a ps3 right? if you have an xbox and eventually pick this game up i'll play it with ya all  the time... i have actually been kinda hoping to find a steady friend playing this game online but so far the best i got is Hartigan on the weekends which is good but he doesn't own the game just yet... so yeah buddy, it be great to have you join the fun.

anyways if you lived in the us, then you could have gone to toys r us and they are selling it at like half off.

Lobo comes out tuesday and Batgirl i guess is up next... ugh but oh well.

atleast we get to finally see Classic Harley Quinn in a video game, jester suit and all.

I'm kinda bored here on this lovely Sunday afternoon so i felt like just talking about this game a little bit before i go play it.

I suppose there really isn't much to say and i know this isn't really a game that is gaining much interest from 4w haha but that's ok because i think i can still post about it anyways to get it off my chest and as i have said in the past.. maybe all this stuff will be useful someday if anyone else here decides to play it.

I'm looking forward to Tuesday, the first DLC character Lobo, is coming out.. and i'll be quite honest.. i don't really know much about him at all.. i have him in my avatar currently to hype my hype to play as him and from what i have read around the internet he seems interesting... anyways he isn't in any of the DC books i have.

I like to play as the entire cast but there are a couple fighters i don't like much, but i don't hate either.. the balance between fighters is much better then in Mortal Kombat and actually many other fighters.

so the few worst guys i can think of right off are.

That's all and even she isn't that bad just really not my kind of fighter at all but it's funny to fly around and watch people chase you.

my best guys right now i like that fit how i like to play as in no real order really would be...

I like to play the zone/rushdown type of characters over the brawlers or 100% zoners.

overall my rating for this game is a solid 10/10 yes i know that is a perfect score and to me this game is perfect i have found very little wrong with it and i think it's the best fighting game i have played in many years and even better then the last Mortal Kombat game which i loved and gave a 9. so yeah this is better.

Street Fighter fanatics might think otherwise though... it's a different style though.

I picked this up earlier on today and I love it.

Unfortunately I don't play online ever... never even hooked my x-box up for it as I don't like that you have to pay for the pleasure. Plus I've just never gotten into online gaming. If I ever do though I'll let you know. Just working my way through the story mode 🙂

Oh cool you picked it up. it's alright i don't really get into the online gaming much either this is probably one of the few kind of games i could play online with the right people and not get tired of it in a few days... just kinda sucks because for me it's not like the old days where i had so many buddies who grew up playing fighting games and we could get a match going anytime.. now it's like needing to rely on the internet but even there without friends it's just meh because random people arent often fun to fight. atleast my girlfriend is fun to play this with... between me and her son we have turned her into a DC smark. 😄 and now she loves watching super hero movies with me... mostly the animated ones because the live action films are very few... this week we are going to check out Wonder Woman and Green Lantern: First Flight.

anyways i'm glad you got the game and i hope it can keep you entertained for a while... there is a bit to unlock, the story mode is short but sweet, imo it's on par with some of the better animated DC films.

All of the characters are unlocked right away so you wont need to bother looking into that... to unlock stuff you go to main menu and then bonus and then archives... skins and concept art are great things in this game.

The second DLC character Batgirl now has a gameplay trailer and i gotta say i didn't want her in the game and if they had to add another Batman character to the game they could have gone with someone else but it's not a big deal after seeing this video because she looks like she is alot of fun to play as and she looks like she has my preference in styles too. They seem to have given her some of Batman's moves from MK vs DC like the teleport move.

also i got Lobo this week and he is also fun to play as i figured he would be kinda slow but nah he is good.

My friend keeps cheesing with Superman, basically sitting on one side of the board, shooting the eye blast. Any idea how to reverse it or prevent it?

Any advice on going up against superman in general?

Anyways, Superman is an asshole, this game is very matchup dependent when going up against equal skill... with that said good characters like Aquaman, catwoman, killer frost ect. simply put if it's just the eye blast he is spaming you with then take raven and do her soul crush... if you have dlc pick scorpion everyone is fucked

However if your friend is cheesing you fuck em and take hawkgirl and use her flying trait and chuck projectiles at supes and then a mace charge... my other character i would suggest is deathstoke... i'm sure you heard the stories... hope it somewhat helps its early here i just woke up.. so i'm doing my best to work with you.

yeah I've noticed that too sometimes 1 characters really good against another character. I actually absolutely destroyed him as Nightwing because I got in closer just didn't let him do anything and he was cornered. But thanks for the advice.

Nice, getting zoned out in this game with a character that has limited tools on getting in close can spell major trouble... fighting a really good Sinestro and being kept away from him is very frustrating he is my arch enemy of this game but i do enjoy playing as him.

I see.. well are you talking about the very bottom row? all those guys sucked except Lantern before the patch now they are all pretty good except Bane... Sinestro and Black Adam are very good you just need to know how to play them i guess...sinestro's whole point is to just keep guys flying back to charge his trait and drop rocks and metered projectiles and Black Adam from the videos i have seen can probably destroy the whole cast i didn't realize the purpose of some of his moves early one.. and some of his basic combos are insane.... go give them another chance atleast Lantern, Shazam and Black Adam. 🙂

I'm pretty good with black Adam but I only really play friendly. you know I'm a wrestling fan so I want to see a good match even when I play with people who don't know what they're doing I try and get them at least close to winning. especially when my two female roommates didn't grow up playing video games at all.

I thought so... glad you are still alive haha... we are trying to keep our 4w alive as much as possible.

I really like Black Adam, the lightning cage meter can lead to some sick combos and his Ra Power combo... it's such a great finisher but i suppose it can be tricky sometimes landing the up and 1+3 ending, but damn 20% damage off of a regular combo is nuts.. i like it.. so yeah i been putting in practice time with him.

I play friendly too i'm not good enough for tournaments but wouldn't mind trying it out someday when i know enough... me and John Hartigan play sometimes on the weekends and do best of 5's or 7's and they are always pretty good match ups... he wins some and i win some... its just for fun.

I don't enjoy playing randoms.. they take the win/loss too serious and play shitty and eventually figured out and beaten and then send hate mail... so yeah i don't play online unless it's with friends.. i play my friends and family at home and we have a good time.

You guys should challenge Hartigan.. he takes shit characters and makes them difficult to fight he is very good and i underestimated him the first couple times we played.
