I picked this up when it came out and only got around to playing it last week....
I really like it a lot, it's pretty much the same style of game as 3 was... just a new cool location in the mountains... it's worth it if you really liked 3.
I want to also mention this games map feels huge... i feel like its easier to say that after exploring the majority of the southern part of the map... and then see all this other stuff i have never been to and will likely not reach for a few more days just with difficulty spikes that i'm sure pop the further north east you go.... i don't know if it is bigger then far cry 3's map but sure seems like it.
i'm still thinking about the games rating... but so far unless things change drastically i'm thinking 9/10 game all around.
Did you get the game? if not i'd just keep checking amazon or other sites like that as it goes on sale a lot and you could probably save a little bit too.
It's still a fantastic game though... i'm something like 83% complete i think and put in 46 hours... it honestly doesn't seem like it took me that much time... and i still have to beat the game! apparently the game has two endings depending on the choices you make... for some reason i think i might have made a bad choice a long the way.
I hear the other ending is actually right at the start. Someone tells you to wait for 15 minutes, but instead you go play the game. If you just wait, he comes back and the credits roll.

Haven't got it yet. I'm in the middle of working 12 days straight... so will pick it up for my weekend off (which is still so many days away...)
But I've decided I really want it. I've played FC3 on my 360 far more than last of us on my PS4, so I need a game I can actually play and enjoy on my PS4 and this looks like it.
Thanks for the feedback chaps.

You have no idea how hilarious that is if true... especially when you do beat the game... dude says "i asked you to wait right here"
My mate was telling me about this one earlier on today. Apparently it's true. There's meant to be multiple ways to win the game, some with things like this where you just wouldn't really do it.
I can only imagine the reaction of someone who bought this at launch popped it in and played for 3 minutes and then just stood there after dude asked you to do so... i figured it was just the cue to escape... my jaw would have been hanging and i would have been stunned and probably wouldn't even bother playing everything else.
I would never do it if i was aware of that ending the main story of the game... but on a replay or something i might do it just to see how it turns out.
So, I bought the game, and completed it in 15 minutes by waiting... It doesn't give anything thing away, but is a cool little thing to do before starting the game properly.
I've played about an hour now, and it's a great game so far. Aiming isn't as accurate, which makes it far more realistic. Will spend a bit of time exploring before pushing on with the actual game... £44 well spent so far tho.
It's so easy just getting lost in the games map exploring and stumbling onto a new location especially one with a collectable... i enjoyed finding the towers.... i also bought maps as the course of the game went on.
Ok, safe to say I'm kinda addicted to this game... fantastic graphics, great game play. Love it so much...
I find myself going hunting and sitting in bushes just to stalk my prey.
This game is an easy 9/10 for me, possibly 10/10.
So I got this one and have been playing it for a while. It's exactly the same as Far Cry 3. I enjoyed 3, but didn't need to play it again.

U can ride elephants in 4...
It is similar to 3, but I think they kept the best parts (taking back enemy camps, great characters) and added to it by making the animals easier to kill, making hunting and crafting more relevant, and letting u RIDE ELEPHANTS!
Did I mention the interactive elephants?
Anyone played this?
I loved 3 on the xbox, and and thinking about getting it for the ps4, but £55 is a lot of cash when I don't play my console that often (put in about 90 minutes in 2 weeks so far...)
If it's as good as 3 (or better) then I'm happy to spend the cash for it.
