Where will Rooney end up next year?

Main Event

Just looking at United's team sheet for their trophy presentation and Sir Alex's last game and seeing Rooney not even in the squad definatly opens the flood gates for furthering the talk of him leaving Utd this year...

I found it interesting how during Scholes interview with Neville, it was Scholes who said about Rooney putting in transfer request and then after it was the Sky present who said that Scholes was only referring to the speculation, but that wasn't necessarily how I heard it like... but then 10 minutes later you learn that Rooney has been left out of the squad altogether and got to wonder, is he leaving..

I think if he does leave Utd then he will be leaving the premiership, probably to somewhere like PSG or maybe even Bayern.. I cant see him playing for another Premiership team really.

He's been left out of the squad? Oh dear... unless he's injured the only reason to leave a player like him out is if he's off.

He'll go aboard. Only club in England would could afford him really is City, and he isn't going there. It'll be Madrid or PSG - I'd probably go with Madrid if I had to pick.

Ha, I did hope that Newcastle would bid for him like when he left Everton, but there's no way we can afford him now.

Newcastle did bid for him, and that's why Utd went early and signed him.  The original plan was for Roon to stay at Everton til the end of the season and Utd to buy him then, but Sir Bobby bid and forced Darth Ferguson to make his move.

Jek

I reckon United can afford to get rid of Rooney now. Before when he put the transfer request through they had to give him whatever he wanted because the squad was built around him, but now they have a good enough team to survive without him if they had a few additions.

I heard he put the transfer request in 2 weeks before Fergie even retired so he was gonna leave regardless of if Fergie stayed or went. No wonder they've been after Lewandowski.

He'll probably go to Spain. What team wouldn't want Rooney? He'd be an asset to any team. Of course it all depends on whether Moyes convinces him he wants him in the team.
