I say Chelsea will win the League. Im happy with the Swans so far and if we beat West Brom thats nine points out of nine so cant complain.
I think Man Utd can secure a 4th placed finish especially with Rojo and Di Maria on their way but anything more than that may be too ambitious for them.
I expect Arsenal to be 4th or 5th at the end of the season.

Arsenal still gonna win the league though.
Who's currently top? I haven't had a chance to look... 😉
The title will be between Man City and Chelsea. Can't see anyone else getting close to those two. If I had to pick now, I'd go with Chelsea.
We were pretty lucky to get through that first half. City were the better side, but Pool gave us problems. Huge chunks of the game were hard to watch. So glad Balotelli wasn't able to play.
I agree that the title is between City and Chelsea, but - wishful thinking aside - I don't think Chelsea quite have enough. They have a really strong squad and will be legit contenders, but they didn't dominate Leicester like they should have and even Burnley got one up on them. Meanwhile City have looked really strong, even on the defensive. Plus we got the Liverpool game out the way, Chelsea still have to face that challenge.

I just hope the Premier League doesn't become a Spain like situation where the sugar daddy clubs just bounce the title back and forth.

Nah, it'll be a while before we have Liverpool and United title races again.
On the season, it is Chelsea's for the taking. The defense is very strong with the right blend of pace, strength and options. The first choice midfield is the best in the league by quite a margin (Fabregas, Matic, Oscar and Hazard). If we do end up short, it will be due to lack of options up front. Costa and Drogba should be able to get a fair few goals between them but it all depends on which Torres decides to show up. He's had spells where he is unplayable but then reverts to being a pile of shit when you least expect it.
I think Arsenal have a very good squad now and should go further than they have in past seasons. If Chelsea or City slip up, Arsenal are in position to capitalise whereas they couldn't in recent seasons. I also think Spurs could be the surprise team this year under Pochettino. That is, unless they don't pull the rug from under him.
My predicitons for the top 4 are: Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Liverpool (Spurs could easily sneak into the top 4 if they have a good season)
Relegation: Burnley, West Brom, Palace
I think the three to go down will be Burnley, West Brom and QPR.

I'd be surprised if you guys even finished in the top 20 mate.

Who was it on her that said Costa would flop and wasn't good enough? Hilds?
7 goals in 4 games, first player since '92 to score in his opening 4 Premiership appearances. He doesn't look out of place at all, he looks built for this league and I wouldn't be surprised to see him hit close to 30 come the end of the season. His movement has been class so far as has his positioning. Looks like he's been playing with that team for a long time - don't know whether credit for that should go to Costa or Mourinho though... probably both.
A few years ago people were raving about Torres and Gerrard. Soon it'll be Costa and Fabregas. Showing why I reckon Chelsea will win the league.
Sucks to be a Newcastle fan right now though. Greatly improved the team over the summer, but are doing worse. Pressure is really on Pardew now.
Swansea have been impressive so far. I wasn't sold on the appointment of Monk, but he's doing very well. Good on him.
The surprise package so far though is Aston Villa. Only positive of Newcastle's season so far is that we're the only team to take a point of them. Most people had them down as relegation candidates, and they still might be. But at the moment, Lambert seems to have learnt how to be an Premiership manager.
I don't get the Pardew hate. Newcastle looked shit yesterday but it was all down to bad individual defensive mistakes. Short pass backs, not jumping at a corner, switching off & losing your marker. Sissoko had two air shots, Colback missed a sitter at the death. Shearer said on MOTD, Pardew has no say on buys or sales, it doesn't look like the players have any faith in him now.

A lot of fans refuse to accept anything other than everything is Pardew's fault. Makes me laugh sometimes how thick some people are. They like to say that he's a liar because he said that no one would leave without being replaced. He has no say in transfers, and if he's told that then why shouldn't he believe that? But the fans blame hi for lying, even though he's saying what he's been told.
A lot of our mistakes this season seem to be individual ones. I still don't think Williamson is Premiership class, but we have no one better so we're stuck with him for now. Mbiwa was a good defender, but he clearly couldn't cut it in the Prem, and even admitted so when he went to Roma. According to most fans, that's down to Pardew, even when the few remaining sensible ones point out the Man Utd players over the years who were very good elsewhere and couldn't cut it in the Prem - didn't make Ferguson a bad manager, some players just can't hack it.
People are at the stage now where every little think is his fault. It's pathetic really, especially a lot of the abuse he gets. One sign got removed saying 'Pardew is a cunt', and a lot of fans were kicking off about it, leaving the few sensible ones to point out that it's not cool and shouldn't be shown where there is plenty of children.
I've basically stopped viewing a lot of the Newcastle fan pages now as it's all just pathetic. Like no one really knows what's happened between him and Ben Arfa, apart from Pardew saying that when he shows some professionalism he will be back in the team. All Pardews fault apparently and he should just play Ben Arfa whatever. It reached the point where I just want Ben Arfa to leave so that I can stop hearing about him. If he was as good as some people think, then why were Hull the only team after him?
Who was it on her that said Costa would flop and wasn't good enough? Hilds?
I said he had been bought based on one great season. I did think he would flop, and and currently hate that I'm being proved wrong. Still a long way to go, so hopefully he'll pull a Cisse and be terrible after scoring a lot of initial goals...
Dont know if any of you have seen The Call Centre show on BBC3 but I was employed by the company this week and me and another employee have won hospitality tickets to today's game vs Newcastle. So I get to see my first live Swans game in the Premier League. Very excited.

Cool man. Hope Newcastle ruin your day though 😉
Man you guys hate Pardew.

What's it really like to work there? The boss's son seems like an absolute tool, every episode he was in, he was messing something up. What about the lass with the big gob and the big jugs who does the tea, she looks like a bonny sort.

Haha. All I'll say is there are some real characters there.

Happy with todays result. First half we were shit, no passion at all being shown. Fastest second half gold I've ever seen though turned the game around. Would happily have taken a point before the game so delighted with the win, even if we didn't play great. 2 in a row and it moves us up the table a bit. Hopefully we can get a few more and the teams below us continue to to worse.
Still think Tottenham should have kept Sherwood, he just needed to learn when to stop speaking when the press was about. Really not sold on Pochettino at all.

Sherwood was terrible. Tactically had no clue. Very much like harry, and that isn't a gd thing...
Poch has a style of playing, and it will take a year to fully implement it. I'm happy if we finish top 8 this year (as long as Lloris stays...). Next year needs to be top 4 tho...
Poch has been below standards and theres no hiding it. With that squad they should be pushing for top 5. Adebayor needs to start perfoming on a regular basis though. But you cant use the excuse that it takes a year to fully implement his style. He can incorporate his style immediately and while it wont instantly click, with the quality in the Spurs team, he should be doing much better than what he is. Im not saying sack him or anything but knowing the chairman if results dont improve and become more consistent I dont see him lasting more than a season.
Swans got a much needed win and I cant complain with our table position.
I'm starting to wonder if Burnley might break the record waiting for their first win.

You're wrong about the implementation.
Poch's style is all about fitness. Historically his players talk about needing a 3rd lung to get thru training, and that's what our players are currently developing. It's that extraordinary fitness levels which allow the players to play the pressing game for 90 minutes. Atm spurs can do that and look good for 20. The rest will come.
And Ade is a dog. His ability suits the formation and tactics better than soldado, but I'd rather soldado was in there. He's a much better player, especially after his quality performance against city! Hopefully Ade will go in January, along with a few others...
I can't believe Chris Smalling today, His yellow cards were two of the dumbest I have ever seen. His match reading skills and pitch intelligence are really lacking, I don't think they will ever improve. A read dud from Fergie's next generation transfer push.
I'm surprised Joe Hart didn't get some sort of repercussion when he stuck his head into Michael Oliver's face after the Smalling incident.

Wasn't really a fan of Harry Kane but its difficult to deny him a starting place with his current form. Soldado was a terrible buy but gets game time because he cost so much, they have to play to him and try and regain some of his costs. Reminds me of when Andy Carroll was at Liverpool and they kept playing him even though he was the shits.

Soldado hasn't worked out as a goalscorer, but his all round play is excellent. Personally I'd play him as the out and out striker over Ade every game. His link play, passing and technique are outstanding.
You're wrong about him getting game time because he cost so much, he rarely starts. I think today was his 2nd league start of the season.
Kane is growing on me. He tries so hard, and he's scoring goals. I don't think he'll do it on a regular basis tho, but he should be starting games over Ade atm.
Still don't think Pochettino is the right man for Tottenham. Villa would very likely have hung on yesterday if it wasn't for Benteke being an idiot (although it wasn't really violent conduct as there was nothing in it, but they should all know by now that raising your hand get's a red). With the team Tottenham have they shouldn't have any worries about beating a team like Villa. Instead they scrape through, and with some luck on the winner. Kane should start the next game, he seems to be in form so why not give him a proper go in the Prem.
Oh, and I loved Newcastle's victory over Liverpool. We didn't play great, but we got the win. With the shit form we've had all season I'll take a win however it comes just to move us away from the relegation zone. Always good to see Liverpool losing as well 🙂
This needs a thread.
Anyone catch Liverpool v City? City still looking good but Liverpool got a hard game out of the way early.
Arsenal still gonna win the league though.
