2nd of the tapings, same characters in the crowd as last week.
AJ Styles is out to start the show, business has switched to Bully Ray. Says as he doesn't have a contract, he's betting everything on winning the world title. Bully Ray hits the ring, trying to play up to Dixie Carter being inside AJ's head. Ray is really on a brilliant verbal rampage and nails it to beating AJ so he has to leave TNA. Ray is absolutely destroying AJ here, I think Ray just mouthed something to AJ to tell him when to speak. Out of the blue, AJ says Hogan hates Ray as much as he does, so he's going to face Samoa Joe tonight.
Dixie speaks to AJ and tells him as he has no contract he must leave the premises, security escorts him off.
A Double is on commentary for this X division tag match. A non bleeding Kenny King is out first, then his partner Chris Sabin makes an appearance. Their opponents are Manik & Jeff Hardy. Spot the odd one out here. OK to decent match. Manik spent most of the match getting beat up until Hardy came in for the hot tag. King & Sabin worked well together until some confusion that led to Manik taking the advantage and Hardy hitting the Swanton on King for the win. King was split open again and was bleeding heavily. Sabin continued to be a sore loser and attacked Hardy & Manik after the match. Aries got in the ring and proposed a 4 way between himself, Sabin, Hardy & Manik. Hardy says lets do an Ultimate X match to which the crowd pops. No mention of the X Division title being on the line. Until Mike Tenay says, Manik says he in and he's putting the title on the line. How a masked wrestler with no mic can say this, bares belief. More like someone fucked up to mention it.
Sting & Hogan are chatting about how bad Bischoff was but now saying Dixie is even worse. An assistant steps in with a present from Dixie for Hogan. with all the might of the 32 inch pythons, Hulkster struggles to rip open the box. When he finally does, hes presented with a watch, the same watch Dixie gave to Sting last year. How that is relevant I don't know. She may have bulk buyed them from China.
Magnus finally gets to EGO with a gauntlet match. First up he's in there with Chris Daniels. The crowd are fairly dead for this as its a bit lackadaisical. Magnus pins Daniels in a average encounter but he's now working the knee which was injured from last week. Kazarian is up next. Another non event match with Magnus winning with a Texas Cloverleaf. Here comes Roode, robe and all. Oh no! diversion tactic. As the robe comes off, Kazarian clips Magnus from behind and attacks the bad knee. Roode spends his match working the knee on the tired Magnus. Magnus rallies back but gets caught and Roode's got him in the crossface and then switches to an ankle lock. Crowd are really flat for this. Magnus has to tap, he's selling it well though, he's got tears in his eyes.
Sting's out to try and calm Magnus down so they can talk it out in the back. Magnus is pouring his heart out about not being good enough. They talk about Sting being put on the map by Ric Flair but who's going to put Magnus on the map? Sting says he will at Bound For Glory and they shake on it. Fucking hell-fire that makes no sense.
Aries comes to see the Hulkster and gives him some vegan vitamins. Says his decision tonight is like the NWO, black or white, no grey. This follows a Hogan history in TNA montage.
EGO are backstage celebrating their win and Roode has been inducted into the EGO hall of fame.
Brooke & Velvet Sky are having a no.1 contenders match for the knockouts belt. Lei'd Tapa hits the ring and destroys Velvet whilst Brooke legs it. This looks like a last minute decision because Velvet & Brooke are not in their wrestling gear.
We get a new vignette for Ethan following him from his Maserati to his house being an arrogant knob to everyone he meets. He sounds like Derrick Bateman.
Announced for the Bound For Glory pre-show is a tag team gauntlet featuring: Bro Mans, Park & Young, EGO and Chavo & Hernandez.
Nice montage of Kurt Angle's TNA highlights. Shame he hasn't had a great match for so long now.
Main event time, Joe is storming to the ring, followed to Bully Ray. OK match with a dumb finish. Ref bump, Joe's got Bully in a submission and he's tapping. Joe goes to get the ref whilst Bully gets his chain, he wraps it around his hand and hits Joe with it. The chain falls to the mat, ref see's it and disqualifies Bully.
Bully tries to attack Joe after the match but AJ comes back and stops him. As security take chase, AJ goes and celebrates with the fans.
Not long left in the show for this big Dixie/Hogan ultimatum. Dixie talks some guff to get heat and this leads Hogan out. Dixie tries to butter Hogan up and asks him if he's going to take a ride on the "Dixie train." Hogan says it an amazing offer......for someone else because I QUIT. Hogan storms out of the ring or as fast as he can go. Dixie gives chase to get Hogan back and latches onto his leg and he just drags her down the entrance way. After she lets go, Hogan walks off into the sunset.
