Also, German team Hoffenheim have taken the unusual step of employing an incredibly young manager. Good to see really and is the youngest manager that I've seen employed - they're usually at least in their early thirties. Julian Nagelsmann though is just 28 years old and has signed a three year contract. Nice to see a club giving someone young a chance like that.
He was their assistant manager & u19 manager. The biggest problem Nagelsmann faces is Hoffenheim have only won twice all season. Nagelsmann was supposed to be manager at the end of the season but interim coach Huub Stephens was brought in to fix the team after Marcus Gisdol was sacked. Stephens has heart problems so has had to leave and Nagelsmann has been rushed in. Hoffenheim's problem lies with not replacing Firmino, Modeste & Schipplock when they left in the summer. They always let goals in but scored lots too so usually finished mid-table.

When you're playing for fun, you can mugs of your opponents. Messi & Suarez double teaming the keeper.

Messi would have looked like a mug if the keeper had saved Suarez's shot. Remember when Arsenal tried that and fucked up?
Yep, that was hilarious. Pires touches the ball and Henry just runs straight past him because Pires got the timing all wrong.
If Messi messed it up, Ronaldo will be there to console him.

Neville seems to be getting the hang of things now - 3 wins in a row. I'm pleased for him and hopeful that he can keep this momentum going. He's taken a chance that many English people in football don't and he's had to find a way to play with a bunch of players that just haven't looked bothered in the slightest. Maybe he's finally got through to them with what he wants them to do. What ever he's changed, he should keep it going.
Anyone wondering why Bolton are fucked financially, look no further than HMRC. They're adding a ridiculous amount of money per week in interest according to reports. God knows why - can understand adding interest, but at that amount it's no wonder clubs go bust and then HMRC will end up with very little, all because their interest rates are retarded.
Bolton owe an outstanding debt of around £3m to the HMRC, which is currently gaining interest of £175,000 a week.

It's more like they're £180m in debt and the owner can't afford to bankroll the club anymore.

You're losing, you're in the relegation zone. It's late in the game, you need to score. You get to your oppositions byline, you need to cross the ball into the penalty box.
First thing that goes through your head? Lets try a rabona.

That was brilliant. He had people in the box waiting for that cross as well. There's times to try and be clever and he needs to learn when they are.
Anyone think that Arsene Wenger's time is up with Arsenal? With Chelsea, Man Utd & Man City dropping off, this was their perfect chance to reclaim the title. Instead, it looks like they'll just have made the improvement from fourth to third, with their closest rivals above them and Leicester. Squad wise, I'd have put Arsenal above both of them but two loses in a row seems to show that they're just not up to the task - if they'd won the last 2 games, they'd be level with Leicester at the top.
Saw one of the worst refereeing decisions ever today. Absolutely criminal. Accrington Stanley striker Kee received the ball in the box, turned the defender and shot... then the ref blew the whistle for half time. He literally blew the whistle ask the keeper got a hand to the ball, but wasn't a strong enough hand to keep the ball out. The players turn to celebrate only to see the ref signalling the end of the first half, not for a goal. Never seen anything like it.
Two wins on the trot for Swansea, couldn't be happier.
Pretty sure Newcastle, Villa and Norwich are going down now. None of them seem to be putting up a fight.

Holy shit! Newcastle have just appointed their best manager since Sir Bobby. Well happy with that appointment. Hopefully he can inspire the team to do better, as we have a good team - good enough really to be top half, which is why this season has been so frustrating. Let's just hope Benitez can do it. First thing he did was cancel the players day off and pulled them all in for an immediate training session 😅
I suppose if anyone can, Benitez can, and Newcastle aren't looking as doomed as Villa.

Man City have been shit since they announced that Pellegrini would be leaving at the end of the season. Maybe they should have left announcing anything until the end. Would find it hilarious if Man City don't finish in the top 4.
Another talking point. Diego Costa got sent off for the first time in his Chelsea career today. It was for a second yellow after going chest to chest, head to head with Gareth Barry. Costa then bears his teeth and looks like he's about to go in fangs first but thinks better of it and its more like a kiss and a hug.
Whatever happens, it looks like Costa is getting a longer ban.

Aw he gives him a little kiss on the neck. They found love on the football pitch.
Anyone catch Suarez's goal against Arsenal? Was pure class.
Was a class goal - Wenger called Barcelonas strike threesome as a Work of Art - and hard to argue with them 3

Yeah, I wasn't sure how Suarez would fit in when Barca signed him, but those three up front together are just world class. Best top three that I've ever seen - not just individually, as they work as a team like they've been playing with each other all their lives. It's unreal the amount of goals they've scored between them.
Suarez
Total Goals: 43
Total Assists: 18
Neymar
Total Goals: 26
Total Assists: 18
Messi
Total Goals: 37
Total Assists: 15
It's ridiculous how good they are together.
The godfather of total football, Johan Cruyff has died.

It really bothers me that who ever made that has used the wrong there in the top right quote.
Was a great player though. Can't think of any other player that actually has a move named after him.
Gary Neville has been sacked. Kind of pointless this close to the end of the season, but it seemed pretty clear that his contract wouldn't have been extended anyway. I still think he has the potential to be a very good manager, so hopefully he's not too disheartened by his time with Valencia. Definitely a sharp learning curve for him and if he gives management another go at least he's got some experience.
Surprising stat for the day - Marcus Rashford has scored seven times in 12 games for Man Utd. No other Man Utd player has more than three goals in that time. The guy is on fire and has literally come out of nowhere. Good on him, his goal against West Ham the other day was quality. If he can keep this up, he'd easily be a future strike partner for Kane in the England set-up - but he'd have to keep it up into next season, way too early to think of a call up now I think.
Oh, and Gomes became the first keeper in Prem history to save two penalties in one match, twice. That's impressive.
Man City always needs a fresh start because 99% of their buys are average players who want ridiculous wages and are there for the money. No one goes to Man City because of the team atmosphere or they love the club. Mangala & Otamendi are two of the shittest centre backs in the league and they cost £60m. Man City are that shit in the transfer market, they will probably stick a £30m bid in for this new Brazilian, Zika they keep hearing about on the news.
