After a quick pyro display, the show is kicked off immediately by IFW champion Kurt Angle, who has left his belt backstage and is out in his street gear. He walks to the ring with a purpose, not bothering with his grand entrance, and grabs a mic from the timekeeper.
Angle: "I don't know what the hell that was last week, but I want whoever was behind it to get out here. Now!"
Nothing.
Angle: "Come on! Get out here! Here I am, come get me! Three on one, I'll take you all on!"
Still no sign of the attackers from last week, but someone does show up. Randy Orton plods out onto the stage, locking eyes with the champ and heading down to meet him in the ring.
Orton: "You want answers Kurt, but what happens when you get them? You're gonna need backup. And it's your lucky day, because I want to get my hands on those guys just as much as you do." Angle: "Do whatever you want Randy, I don't care. Just don't complain if there's nothing left of them when you get to them."
There's clear tension between Angle and Orton, but it'll have to wait as - Woooo! - the general manager heads out.
Flair: "Kurt! Randy! I got some bad news for you, brothers. I did a little investigating of my own, and the men who attacked you are Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, three men from IFW developmental. I'd love to set up a match between you and them, but these guys are clearly dangerous and I'm going to need a few more answers myself before I can let that happen. I've suspended them, they're banned from the arena, until they can provide an explanation." Angle: "That's bullshit! Ric, come on!"
Orton is just as pissed, but stays quiet, trying to maintain his composure.
Flair: "Kurt, I know how you're feeling. Trust me, as soon as these guys can explain themselves, they're all yours."
Angle and Orton exchange some heated words, but this time they're allied against a common enemy instead of being at each others' throats.
Flair: "But since you two are so fired up tonight, why don't you answer the open challenge of the tag team champions?" Orton: "I want his title, not theirs!" Angle: "What? Charlie and Shelton? What are you talking about Ric? They're my boys!" Flair: "That didn't bother them when I ran it past them a few minutes ago. You and Orton will be taking on Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin for the IFW tag team championship in tonight's main event! Good luck guys! Wooooooo!"
Flair leaves, Angle and Orton are confused, angry and yet surprisingly enthusiastic about winning some gold tonight.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash is in his interview area.
JB: "Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time is former silver champion, Paul London. Paul, having had a week to reflect on your loss, what's your next move?" London: "Isn't that one obvious? I'm going to take my rematch and win it. But that's not why I'm here tonight JB. You weren't here seven months ago at the Invasion's End pay per view, but I'm sure you were watching. Everyone on Team Invasion was given a wish as a reward for their victory that night, with the stipulation that they can't wish outright for title matches. Ken Anderson wished to reverse a contendership match decision to win himself a title match. Michael Shane wished for control of the contracts of Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. Lance Archer wished for the Naturals to be stripped of the IFW tag team titles. Jimmy Rave lost his wish in a match to Lance Archer, who lost it to D'Angelo Dinero, who wished for Vince McMahon to take an indefinite vacation." JB: "Paul, what's your point?" London: "My point is that the final member of that team, Shawn Michaels, never used his wish." JB: "But Shawn retired two weeks ago." London: "And before he did, he gave his wish...to me." JB: "I...see." London: "Now, the rules did state that I can't wish for a title shot, but they didn't say I couldn't wish for...the money in the bank briefcase? So JB, give the word to whoever you have to, I am the new Mister Money In The Bank, and when I beat Jackson for the silver title, I'll cash in on Angle and win the IFW title too, to become IFW's first ever double champion. How does that sound?"
London grins and leaves before getting his reply. It sounds pretty good, if he can pull it off.
Back to the ring for the first match of the night, and it features the man London was just talking about. Ezekiel Jackson stomps down the ramp without his belt, which was stolen by JTG. JTG is next out, too stupid to realise that he's about to get an ass kicking. He flaunts the silver title belt like it's his. Should have sold it when you had the chance, homie.
Match 1 - Ezekiel Jackson v JTG: - Jackson makes short work of JTG, powering him all over the ring and crushing him with the book of Ezekiel uranage slam. He doesn't stop there though, he puts an end to the match with the torture rack, JTG taps immediately. Winner: Ezekiel Jackson
The referee places the silver title back in its rightful owner's hands, but Jackson is distracted by David Otunga who is again standing on the stage watching on. Otunga nods in approval and turns to leave. Jackson celebrates with his belt.
Backstage again now, to where John Cena is heading towards Ric Flair's office. He's just about to knock when he notices someone leaning up against the wall next to the door. It's CM Punk.
Punk: "I wouldn't if I were you." Cena: "And why not?" Punk: "Because there's nothing in there for you." Cena: "How would you know?" Punk: "Because what you're looking for is already mine." Cena: "Look, I don't know what status you think you have around here, but I wouldn't be doing my job if I just walked away from this." Punk: "I'm not telling you not to do your job, John, I'm telling you not to do mine. My job is to be the next IFW champion, yours is to go back to that locker room and find yourself a different opponent." Cena: "Do I need to go back there, Punk? Because I think I'm looking at a perfect opponent." Punk: "Then that's your second mistake. You don't want to get involved here. Trust me."
Cena takes a moment to consider what Punk means, but decides it's really not worth starting this feud up again so he takes the advice and backs off.
Cena: "Alright, maybe I don't. But believe me, if you get between me and that title, you won't stop me. You can't stop me." Punk: "I don't need to stop you, John! You aren't the man anymore!"
But Cena's already walking away, not listening.
To the ring! The Bella Twins are helping each other run through some last minute warm ups while they wait for their opponents. The Nexettes' music hits and womens champion AJ leads the newbies Taeler Hendrix and Ivelisse Velez down the ramp.
Match 2 - Bella Twins v Ivelisse Velez & Taeler Hendrix: - Fairly short match, typical womens stuff. Brie works most of the match with Velez, with the others playing backup. The Bellas try twin magic to gain an advantage, which works until AJ distracts the referee so her girls can work a double team to even the odds again. In the end the outside help gives the Nexettes the upper hand and Velez puts Nikki away with the 'disdain,' a wheelbarrow DDT. Winners: Nexettes
After the match Brie checks on Nikki and is quickly swarmed by the Nexettes, including the ones who weren't out for the match. Brie stands up to them, ready to defend herself, when the divas locker room empties and we have a brawl all around ringside. The Nexettes' greater numbers means they comfortably neutralise the threat though, and before too long AJ barks the orders to Naomi and Aksana to bring the steel steps into the ring. By now Nikki is fully aware of what's going on and is screaming to be let go, but it's too late. The steps come crashing down on her knee and Nikki Bella becomes the latest victim of the Nexettes' brutal attacks. The group leave the ring, allowing Brie to check on her sister. There's quite a lot of crying going on between them.
Backstage with Jeremy Borash again! This time he's with the Heatseekers.
JB: "Ladies and gentlemen, my guests at this time are Curt Hawkins and Lance Archer. Guys, last week you scored a big victory over Primo and Epico Colón. Is this a stepping stone to the World's Greatest Tag Team and the tag team titles? And if so, when will you challenge the champions?" Hawkins: "Would you believe it JB? We were going to challenge them tonight!" JB: "That can't happen now, as they'll be in tonight's main event defending the titles against Kurt Angle and Randy Orton." Hawkins: "Exactly, and you know what that means?" JB: "That you may not be wrestling Haas and Benjamin for the titles?" Hawkins: "No." JB: "That the open challenges may be over if Angle and Orton win?" Hawkins: "No! It means they're scared of us, doofus! Isn't that obvious?" Archer: "Yeah, it is." Hawkins: "It's obvious JB, you doofus." Archer: "Stop being such a doofus, JB." JB: "Ric Flair booked the main event, they didn't take the match to duck you." Hawkins: "Oh, how convenient! Who do you think gave Flair the idea to book the match, doofus?" Archer: "Here's a clue: It was Haas and Benjamin." JB: "Guys, I really don't think-" Hawkins: "No, you don't think. Maybe you should think before you interview us again."
The Heatseekers walk away.
Archer: "Doofus." Hawkins: "Such a doofus."
A video package plays of Austin Aries standing against a black backdrop while the camera rotates around him. He spreads his arms out to his sides, unfurling a cape that reads 'The Greatest Man That Ever Lived.'
Aries: "Oh yes. I'm coming back."
Back in the World's Greatest Faction dressing room, the tag champions are preparing for their match when Angle bursts in.
Angle: "You guys heard what Flair said?" Haas: "Sure, he asked us about it." Angle: "And you were ok with it?!" Benjamin: "Well, yeah. Why wouldn't we be?" Angle: "After all I've done for you, this is how you repay me?" Haas: "Kurt, what's the problem? As far as we're concerned, you will be the biggest challenge we've faced since becoming IFW tag team champions, and you taught us that's what we're all about. Unless we take on the best, we can't call ourselves the best." Benjamin: "And besides, it'll be an honour to step into that ring with you again."
Angle wipes his forehead with his hand and sighs.
Angle: "Alright. Fine. Just remember that I've got bigger problems than you on my mind right now."
Angle turns to leave, but stops in his tracks when Haas goads him.
Haas: "If I didn't know better Kurt, I'd say you were scared." Benjamin: "Yeah. You worried that you're getting old?"
Angle turns back to his students ready to snap, poking a finger into Haas' chest. He's about to unleash his barrage of abuse, but stops and instead chuckles to himself.
Angle: "Sure, that's what it is. Just remember that when you see me wearing your belt later tonight."
We head back to the arena, where Hunico is in the ring while Camacho stands by the announce tables with their gold bike. D'Angelo Dinero enters with the Dinero dollaz falling from the sky. Pope is pimpin'.
Match 3 - D'Angelo Dinero v Hunico (w/ Camacho): - Decent match here that goes a few minutes, with Hunico showing his athleticism. He does a few of his Sin Cara Negro moves, but in the end Dinero is too much for him and he's put away with the codebreaker. Winner: D'Angelo Dinero
Dinero has his hand raised in victory. With this mini-feud presumably over, what's next for the Black Pope?
We briefly cut backstage to Primo and Epico Colón laying in the wreckage of two catering tables. Rosa Mendes is standing by yelling something in her terrible Spanish accent until EMTs show up.
Elsewhere, John Morrison is fighting off a group of IFW officials who are trying to take his money in the bank briefcase. He;s guarding it with his life, but after a good minute or so of struggling he's restrained by security and the case is wrestled from his grasp. He's left alone in his dressing room with no case and no Melina. Poor guy.
And we're back to the ring for the final time as we're set for tonight's main event! Randy Orton comes out first, followed by IFW champion Kurt Angle. They share a few words, there seems to be tension between them. Haas and Benjamin are out next, wearing their tag title belts with pride. They fist bump with Angle, Orton is disinterested.
Match 4 - Kurt Angle & Randy Orton v World's Greatest Tag Team: Tag team championship - Angle and Haas start off with some chain wrestling, Haas giving Angle a good match but the Olympian gets the better of him in the end. Angle lets Haas up, Haas tags Benjamin. Angle works his other student for a couple of minutes, but by now the fatigue is getting to him and Benjamin uses his athleticism to gain the upper hand. Benjamin repays the favour and lets Angle up, which just annoys Angle further. Orton yells at Angle, who bickers back. Orton tags himself in and goes to lock up with Benjamin when Angle grabs him and spins him around to continue their argument. Orton brushes him off and turns back to Shelton, who fires off a superkick to catch Orton off-guard. He's a split second too late though, and Orton ducks out the way leaving the kick to connect to Angle, knocking him down and out of the ring. Orton springs back up with an RKO and quickly covers for one, two, but Haas breaks it up. Orton backs Haas up into a corner with right hands, buying Benjamin some recovery time. Haas fights back and the two go back and forth while the referee tries to get Haas back to the apron. Haas throws Orton into the corner and delivers a couple of chops, then steps back as Shelton flies in with the Stinger splash. Haas ducks to the outside just to make a tag and then come back in legally. Haas works Orton over on the mat, focusing his assault on the legs. He wears Orton down with variations of leg bars and surfboards, and a few good old fashioned stomps. Orton fights back a couple of times, but Haas is always able to cut him off with a well-placed shot to the knee. Haas locks in the Haas of pain, Orton yells in agony. He crawls to the ropes but he's anchored to the middle so fighting out is his only option. Orton grabs at Haas' head, and manages to rake the eyes to free himself from the hold at the expense of a warning from the referee. Orton quickly dives into a tag to Angle, who explodes into the ring to knock Benjamin off the apron and then take Haas down with a few clotheslines. He ducks a right hand to transition into three German suplexes, the straps come down and Angle grabs the ankle lock, only for Benjamin to take him down from behind. The referee pushes Shelton to the ropes, but Orton comes in to even the scores and the referee turns his attention to pushing Orton out which leaves the champs to double team their mentor. Angle takes the broken arrow and is covered for one, two, but Angle somehow kicks out. Haas tags Benjamin back in and he stalks for a superkick. Angle pushes to his feet and catches the boot and throws it down, Shelton counters into the dragon whip which Angle ducks and turns into the Olympic slam. Both men are down and looking for tags, Shelton gets there first and drags Angle back to his side. Haas looks for the Haas of pain, but Angle swiftly counters into an ankle lock. Haas is in trouble, but he pushes up on his hands and flips under, whipping Angle into his corner where he inadvertently knocks Orton off the apron and into the announce table. The referee counts this as a tag, so when Haas hits an Olympic slam of his own the cover isn't counted. Benjamin rushes to the other side of the ring to pick Orton up and roll him back in, but Orton is out cold. Shelton leaves him on the floor and rolls back into the ring to celebrate a count out victory, but Angle rolls out and shoves Orton back in himself to keep the match alive. The champs finish Orton off with the world's greatest finisher, an aided powerbomb, and Shelton rolls to the outside to keep Angle busy while the count is made. Winners: World's Greatest Tag Team, to retain the tag team championship
Angle stops brawling with Benjamin as the bell rings, and the stablemates share a tense hug. Benjamin grabs the title belts and rolls back into the ring to celebrate with Charlie Haas. Angle takes his own belt and leaves the arena while Orton is checked on by a couple of officials. The show goes off the air with the tag champs posing with the belts and Kurt re-focused on his endless list of challengers.
After a quick pyro display, the show is kicked off immediately by IFW champion Kurt Angle, who has left his belt backstage and is out in his street gear. He walks to the ring with a purpose, not bothering with his grand entrance, and grabs a mic from the timekeeper.

Angle takes his own belt and leaves the arena while Orton is checked on by a couple of officials. The show goes off the air with the tag champs posing with the belts and Kurt re-focused on his endless list of challengers.
