NOTE: This show is very much recapped and you can expect similar Duskfall shows with no major importance to be similarly recapped. Also this show is more of a Revival post-show than anything. The true next step will be Storm Front, June 26th. Hope you guys don't mind the recapped format for this, it helps me keep up with the demand of shows. Storm Front preview up soon!

4CW PRESENTS... DUSKFALL
JUNE 5TH, 2022
LIVE FROM CASE GYM - BOSTON, MASSACHEUSETTS

===

Phoenix: Ladies and gentlemen, people of all ages, welcome to the post-Revival 4CW Duskfall! I’m Scott Phoenix and tonight, I am joined by an all-star commentary team of Olivia Ito, James Roberts and Ray Jeffrey!
Jeffrey: We’ve got such a cool show ahead of us it took all four of us to capture the magic!
Roberts: And we have a hell of a show tonight for sure! In our main event, we will see who captures the Lightning in the Bottle in the third annual Lightning in the Bottle match where the winner will earn any title shot they want at any time in the next twelve months.
Ito: Also to open the show tonight, we will get the 4CW Franchise Championship match originally scheduled for Revival XV, as The Janiturs will defend against The Supergroup!
Phoenix: And not only all that, but we will also see some of the fallout of Revival. There has been a seismic shift here in 4CW, and tonight, Erica Moxie will address her match and victory against her mentor, Rhys Cain, at Revival!

The bell rings and Michael Carson stands in the middle of the ring to announce the opening match.

Carson: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the 4CW Franchise Championship!

”Ding Dong Song” by Gunther hits the PA system. Out come the team of Janitur, flanked by the massive JANISTAR and the newest Janitur, Jani-Her. Janitur is holding a mop in one hand and the championship in the other. Jani-Her has a sweeping broom and JANISTAR has an entire vacuum cleaner, which he is holding under his arm with the pipe around his neck. The three of them stand at the top of the ramp as Janitur holds up the Franchise Championship.

Carson: Introducing first, they are the 4CW FRANCHISE CHAMPIONS … the team of Janitur, JANISTAR and Jani-Her … THE JANITURS!!

Phoenix: Janitur has been in 4CW as long as the furniture. Maybe longer! And finally, he and his allies have something to be proud of… the 4CW Franchise Championship! Tonight, they defend that championship against arguably their greatest rivals!
Jeffrey: Their greatest rivals for sure, there’s no argument!

The three cleaners make their way down the ramp, interacting with some fans along the way. They place all their cleaning apparatus near the timekeepers area and head into the ring.

”Superstar” by Lupe Fiasco hits the PA system. Out comes the challengers, only three of The Supergroup. Zak E Justice, the ever-present leader, is flanked by Rane and Jerome Grayson.
Roberts: Here comes Zak E Justice and 4CW’s newest power couple, Rane and Jerome Grayson!
Jeffrey: I bet Rane is hot as fuck under that mask…
Roberts: I’m sure she is, wearing a mask can be tough as we all know!
Jeffrey: That’s not exactly what I meant, Roberts… but sure, let’s go with that.
Phoenix: The Supergroup were often laughed at in their history in 4CW, but these days, I think it’s fair to say they are laughed with. They have made their own mark in 4CW and tonight they have a chance to make their mark in the title history of the 4CW Franchise Championship!
Roberts: And the referee for this match is Dirk Meyer who, despite many doubts of his sincerity as an official, has proven he is taking it very seriously!
Jeffrey: I have to admit, I was expecting him to be a dirty-no-good-rotten traitor at Revival but he refereed right down the middle!

The three Supergroup members make their way down to the ring and get in, complete with over-the-top cornrows, shades and poses. Eventually, both teams make it to their own corners. Zak E Justice starts the match in his corner, while Janitur starts in his. Both competitors are talked to by Dirk Meyer, who then calls for the bell!

4CW Franchise Championship
The Janiturs (Janitur, JANISTAR & Jani-Her) © vs The Supergroup (Jerome Grayson, Rane and Zak E Justice)

Justice and Janitur clash in the middle of the ring with a lock-up. Janitur shifts into a side headlock and after a small struggle, gives Justice a noogie for good measure. Justice pulls away and brushes his head instinctively. On their second attempt at a lock-up, Justice feigns Janitur and instead kicks him in the gut, hooks him up, and hits a suplex.

Over the next few minutes, Justice takes Janitur down with a few more suplexes, clotheslines and powerslams, but never gets more than a standard two count. Justice then sets up a DDT, but Janitur slips out, ducks under a clothesline from Justice and takes him out with a back body drop. He follows up with a neckbreaker for a two count. Janitur then tags in Jani-Her.

Jani-Her pulls Zak away from his corner, thwarting his attempt at a tag. She brings some elbows down on his back, then hits a standing moonsault for another two count. Jani-Her goes up top for a high-risk manoeuvre, but when she dives off, Zak rolls out of the way. Zak reaches over and makes a tag to Rane!

Rane clears house as Janitur comes in to help Jani-Her, taking them both out with belly-to-belly suplexes. Rane sets up Jani-Her for a chokeslam, but Jani-Her escapes and makes the tag to JANISTAR. JANISTAR takes command of the match and starts to dominate Rane, throwing her around the ring with swings and clubbing blows. Grayson gets a cheap forearm to the face from JANISTAR. JANISTAR then sets up Rane for the finish, hitting a big boot and following up with a powerslam. JANISTAR covers but only gets a two count.

On the outside, Jerome Grayson gets back to his feet. Furious at the cheap shot, he grabs the mop from one of the buckets and soaks the section of the mat that JANISTAR walks on moments later. He slips and falls hard on his back. Rane makes the cover near the ropes and Grayson holds her feet on the rope as she leans them up there. Meyer counts the fall, not noticing anything out of the ordinary. ONE … TWO …  THREE!!

Carson: Here are your winners and the NEEEEEEW 4CW FRANCHISE CHAMPIONS … THE SUUUUPERGROUP!!

Win-Loss Records:
Janitur 2-2
Jani-Her 1-2
JANISTAR 1-1
Zak E Justice 1-1
Rane 2-1
Jerome Grayson 2-3

Phoenix: The Supergroup have just stolen the Franchise Title!
Jeffrey: It’s not cheating if you don’t get caught!
Roberts: Your opinion is more flexible than a gymnast!
Jeffrey: But not quite as flexible as your mom!
Roberts: *sigh*

Outside the ring, The Janiturs seem devastated at the result. Jani-Her covers her masked face in shame. Inside the ring, Meyer hands Zak E Justice the title and he holds it up high before celebrating with Rane and Jerome Grayson, who both get their moment with the title too as we cut to commercial.

Carson: Please welcome at this time… MISS … ERICAAAAAA … MOXIE!!

The crowd explodes as ”Antivist” by Bring Me The Horizon hits the PA system. The former Black Flame soldier comes out on stage, much to the joy of the crowd, and she is flanked by her new allies… Lindon Jett and Grant Zaiden. Together the three of them make their way down to the ring.

Phoenix: At Revival, Erica Moxie did what no-one has ever managed to do before… she beat Rhys Cain with his career on the line! Thanks to her, we never have to see Cain again!
Roberts: And along the way, she has formed a new alliance with Lindon Jett and Grant Zaiden!
Jeffrey: A triple threat of badassery right there!!

The three allies make their way into the ring and Erica Moxie grabs a mic from a ringside assistant. Eventually, the music fades and the crowd break into a “LET’S GO MOXIE!” chant. Moxie waves them down and begins to talk.

Moxie: Since April 25th, I have been waiting patiently… biding my time… thinking, over and over again, what I would say to you all when I finally got the chance. Because on April 25th, I did something monumental. I did something no-one has ever done before. I beat Rhys Cain at Revival and sent him packing from 4CW.

A big pop from the crowd.

Moxie: Now, if I can be serious for a moment. I actually want to thank Rhys Cain.

The crowd starts to boo, but there is also a smattering of applause.
Moxie: For real, though. Rhys Cain taught me everything he knows. Rhys Cain took me as a student without hesitation. He and his wife supported me through the hardest period of my life. And I have no doubt that without Rhys Cain, I never would have made it to where I am today. So Rhys, thank you.

More mixed noise from the crowd as they process this.

Moxie: Yes, I am grateful for everything Cain did for me… but somewhere along the way, something changed in him. Or perhaps more specifically, something that was buried deep down was finally awoken… and The Black Flame was born.

Long, droning boos from the crowd at the mention of The Black Flame.

Moxie: I stuck with the man who had guided me all this way and never set me down a wrong path. I knew that his new attitude, his new willingness to do horrible things, was something that was very deep rooted. It haunted him until he finally let himself absorb it. And finally, he set me down a wrong path. It took me a while to realise it at first, but eventually enough was enough.

Moxie takes a beat before continuing.

Moxie: When I beat Rhys Cain at Revival XV, a part of me was sad. The same part of me that grew up idolising Rhys Cain, was sad that she would never get to see him do his thing again… and that she had been the one who caused it.

Moxie looks thoughtful for a moment.

Moxie: But since then, I have had time to think. Since then, I realised something. I realised that there are little boys and girls still looking for their wrestler to idolise. Now, don’t get it twisted. This isn’t me turning into a “kiss babies” kinda gal. No, no. I know who I am. I’m brash. I’m violent. I can be vulgar. I’m successful. Now if your kids are watching, I suggest you cover their ears now, because most importantly, I’m not a cunt.

Moxie nods towards her allies, grinning.

Moxie: I fight for what I believe in. And when I can, I fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. Because everyone needs some Moxie Madness when they are backed into a corner. And I’ll do whatever the hell I want, when I want. These two men behind me, Lindon Jett and Grant Zaiden, are fantastically talented wrestlers with the same mindset. Together, we are known as The Antivists.

The crowd cheers for the three of them with the official christening of their name.

Moxie: We refuse to accept what is considered acceptable. We acknowledge ignored pain and confront the inflicter. We break establishment when establishment breaks you.

More big pops from the crowd, who are now chanting “ANTIVISTS!”

Moxie: We know who we are… and I know what I want to do next. BRIAN WHITE!!

An explosion of a pop for the call out.

Moxie: You’re one of Rhys Cain’s greatest rivals. And as of Revival XV, you are the new 4CW Undisputed World Champion! I have a hell of a lot of respect for you, Brian, and I know we haven’t always seen eye to eye… but I respect everything you’ve done here. I also know that you are a consummate fighting champion. And you’re probably itching to defend that title. So, how about it? Storm Front. June 26th. Brian White versus Erica Moxie for the 4CW Undisputed World Championship!

The crowd clearly approves as they meet this challenge with another huge pop.

Moxie: Don’t worry about getting back to me tonight. I’ll be at Storm Front, and you can give me your answer face to face. I look forward to hearing from you, Brian.

Moxie drops the mic, her music kicks back in and the three of them, now known as The Antivists, head out of the ring.

Phoenix: Well, that was very enlightening! Erica Moxie has just challenged Brian White for the World Title! Will he accept?
Roberts: I think we already know the answer to that one!
Ito: It does seem like a certainty that he will accepted - which means you guys have a fantastic match to call on Storm Front later this month!
Jeffrey: And how about this new group, The Antivists? Three top-notch badasses! This could be the dawn of a new age in 4CW!

We cut to a darkened cockpit of a spaceship lit up in the background by random machines and devices. Quentin Cosmo sits in the pilot seat, staring at the camera.

Cosmo: At Revival XV, I caused a space-time event that propelled our universe one year and one hour into the future. That was… my bad. But the good news is this universe is fine. However, it may interest you all to know that because of the function of the multiverse, there is a universe where we never went forward in time at all. An entire year of 4CW content was produced, in this universe, and the lives of the 4CW alumni branched off in fascinating directions.

Cosmo: So, I present to you… the life we never had… the time we lost and what we would have done if we had it… people all around the universe… this is… The Lost Timeline.

Cosmo flicks a switch which brings a monitor to life. The monitor shows footage of Revival XV, in this alternate universe. Cosmo’s time travel pants malfunction and he gets hit with the Hardcore belt by Jason Crow, who retains the title. Rhys Cain conquers Erica Moxie and boots her from 4CW. Umbra Maxima won the Gauntlet and retained the tag titles. And finally, Jack Valentine defeated Brian White to retain the 4CW World Title.

Cosmo: As you can see, in The Lost Timeline, a lot of things went differently. But this is just the beginning. As we progress through our television shows, I will bring you more of The Lost Timeline, so you can all see what could have been. And if anyone wants a shot at the Hardcore Title… Well, you’ll have to figure out how to get into my ship first!

Cosmo laughs as the camera cuts back to the arena. The Lightning in the Bottle match structure has been set up over the ring. A curved dome with two floors, a rope ladder going to the top floor. Numerous keys hang down from the ceiling as well as one (locked) bottle, with the Lightning (contract) inside. One side of the structure, next to the ring, is a sea of tables stacked up to the second floor.

Carson: The following LIGHTNING IN THE BOTTLE match is our MAIN EVENT of the evening! The winner of this match will earn any championship match they want at any time for the next twelve months!

”Ravenous” by Killswitch Engage hits the PA system.

Carson: Introducing first, from Newport, Wales, representing THE BLACK FLAME and weighing in at 231lbs … ELIIIII … WATERS!!

”Numb” by Linkin Park hits the PA system.

Carson: Next, from Helston, England, weighing in at 14 stone … PHIL … MCGROOOIN!!

”Aces High” by Iron Maiden hits the PA system.

Carson: Next, from Barry, South Wales, weighing in at 195lbs … “TOP GUN” … TOMMYYYYY YOOOUNG!!

”I Am Damnation” by Bleed From Within hits the PA system.

Carson: Next, this … is DAMIEEEEEEEN … BLOOD!!

”City Lights” by Dagoba hits the PA system.

Carson: And on his way to the ring, RETROOOO … MODERN!!

Phoenix: All six of these competitors, whether new, old or returning, are looking for the opportunity of a lifetime tonight!
Jeffrey: If they can enter that structure and pull out the Lightning in the Bottle, they will get any title match they want any time in the next twelve months!
Roberts: And this match is not for the faint of heart!
Phoenix: In simple terms, one must climb to the top, find the right key and open the tube containing the bottle to win! But anything goes, and if anyone falls into the Sea of Tables ,they are eliminated!

Third annual Lightning in the Bottle match
Eli Waters vs Phil McGroin vs Witch Hazel vs Tommy Young vs Damien Blood vs Retro Modern

There is pure and utter chaos as the six competitors just clash in the middle of the ring to start the match. Fists and bodies fly in all directions, and when the smoke clears, the two left standing are Witch Hazel and Eli Waters. They go left and right, neither giving up, until McGroin flies in with a superkick that takes out Hazel. Waters takes him out with a lariat from behind and begins climbing to the second floor.

Blood and Modern are quick to meet Waters on the second floor and form an uneasy alliance as they take out the bigger man together. A double suplex on the steel mesh of the upper floor takes out Waters and the alliance is severed with Blood and Modern going at it with each other next, lefts and rights flying.

Hazel makes it to the second floor next and quickly scales the dome, grabbing hold of one of the keys by its rope and pulling it towards her. Waters gets up, only to eat a crossbody from a falling Hazel which takes him out. McGroin takes out Hazel from behind with a German suplex and snatches the key from her hands, but it turns out to be a dud key.

Young, who had remained fairly undetected so far, makes it to the top floor with a steel chair and starts to go HAM on everyone. Young takes out McGroin first, followed quickly by Waters and Blood. Modern tries his luck at taking down Young by ducking his chair shot and trying a leg sweep but Young jumps over the sweep and brings the chair down on Modern. Young hesitates when he reaches Hazel, just for a moment, and then crashes the chair down on her too, taking out the entire competition!

Young wastes no time in placing the steel chair in a seated position, climbing up on to it and snatching a key from the ceiling. He then moves  the chair over a few feet, sets it up again and snatches a second key. With two keys in hand, Young goes to the tube to try them both. The first one is a dud and he throws the key. The second one he inserts in - pauses for a moment - and turns the key - DUD!

There’s only one key left. Young looks up at it - but suddenly eats a DROPKICK from Witch Hazel, who sends him crashing off the plank and through the SEA OF TABLES!! Young crashes through at least two tables and the bell rings to signify his elimination!

Carson: Tommy Young has been eliminated!

Witch Hazel looks down at the destruction she has caused as EMTs rush to the aid of Tommy Young. She looks torn for a moment, then shakes her head and starts to climb for dome for the last key which is also the highest hanging one.

Hazel reaches it and yanks it down, then sees Waters getting to his feet and decides to jump down on him for the second time in this match - but this time Waters holds her weight and hits a fallaway slam! Waters grabs the key and pulls it out of Hazel’s grip, but she grabs hold of his leg and gets back to her feet. Hazel hits a dragon screw and then a standing moonsault onto the steel mesh! Hazel then waits for Waters to get up, sets him up for a DDT! Waters fights out - BAM! Smashes Hazel in the face with the key!

Suddenly, Retro Modern jumps on Waters’ back! Waters collapses, then gets back to his feet, and flips Modern off his back and THROUGH THE SEA OF TABLES!!

Carson: Retro Modern has been eliminated!

Waters turns around to eat a dropkick from Hazel, and precariously comes close to the edge of the platform, but finds his feet and retaliates with a big boot! Waters gets up - McGroin hits a DDT!! McGroin snatches the key from Waters and heads for the Lightning in the Bottle - but Damien Blood is back! He grabs McGroin - belly-to-belly suplex! Blood tries to grab the key from McGroin but McGroin holds tight! Blood punches him in the face and McGroin relinquishes the key - but Blood only takes two steps before McGroin hits a LOW BLOW!! Blood goes down, and drops the key!

McGroin grabs the key and heads for the bottle! He puts the key in - HE TURNS THE KEY - BAM!! ANOTHER BIG BOOT FROM ELI WATERS!! Waters grabs the bottle - AND PULLS IT FREE!!

Carson: Here is your winner of the LIGHTNING IN THE BOTTLE … THE HORIZON … ELIIIIII … WATERS!!

Win-Loss Records:
Eli Waters 2-4
Tommy Young 0-4
Phil McGroin 2-2
Witch Hazel 1-2
Retro Modern 0-1
Damien Blood 0-1

Phoenix: What a hellacious battle! Tommy Young and Retro Modern both felt the plunge of the sea of tables and wouldn’t you know? Eli Waters learned from his old master Rhys Cain and STOLE this match!
Jeffrey: Stole?! He followed all the rules, because there are none! He was smarter than everyone else! He did what no-one else could and grabbed the bottle fair and square!
Roberts: He didn’t even unlock the tube!
Jeffrey: Shut up, Roberts! No-one asked you!
Phoenix: Regardless, Eli Waters has the Lightning in the Bottle! He can now get ANY title match he wants ANYTIME in the next twelve months!
Jeffrey: And that’s one hell of a power card to have here in 4CW!
Phoenix: It certainly is! Thank you for joining us, folks! See you next time at 4CW Storm Front!!

The show ends Waters climbing down to the ring, with the Lightning in the Bottle in hand! He holds it up high as The Liberation and Zephyris come to the ring to celebrate with their comrade! The graphics in the bottom third flash up and we fade to black!

Quick Results:
-The Supergroup defeated The Janiturs © to win the 4CW Franchise Championship
-Eli Waters defeated Witch Hazel, Phil McGroin, Damien Blood, Tommy Young and Retro Modern in the third annual Lightning in the Bottle match.
