Lashley and Trump

For those wondering why WWE is completing ignoring the storyline in the past with Bobby Lashley and Donald Trump, it is because they do not want to associate or mention Trump and alienate a good portion of their audience.

Good or bad? Does it really matter? I'd imagine that a lot of WWE fans still remember that fucking awful storyline anyway. Maybe it's for the best that they try and ignore it. Wish I could wipe it from my memory. Not because it's Trump though, but because it was just awful and I had no interest in it at all. You would have thought that they would be all over it though, saying how even the president is a fan and has been in a WWE ring before. Sure, people who didn't know would look it up and be disappointed that he wasn't beaten to a pulp, but whatever.

I'm happy for WWE to ignore it so that I don't get reminded of it every time it's mentioned. Anyone else?

It's irrelevant anyway. Lashley was around for ages after that program before he left. Why would they need to mention it now? And yeah, getting political when it can be avoided is always a no-no, especially in something that is purely for entertainment.

I'd forgotten about that travesty anyway... So thanks for the reminder! This is one of those that's only news because it's Trump. Anyone else and it wouldn't get mentioned or even reported on that it's not been mentioned. Best forgotten.

I really liked that storyline...

Once a man would spend a week patiently waiting if he missed a stage coach, but now he rages if he misses the first section of a revolving door.
