Koeman won. He was backed this morning by the Everton board. Sacked just after lunch. Makes you wonder what has happened in the past few hours for them to change their minds that quickly. He's a good manager though, he'll find himself in a new job soon enough.

Yup.

Everton have sacked manager Ronald Koeman after Sunday's 5-2 home defeat by Arsenal left them in the Premier League relegation zone.

A statement said the club "would like to express their gratitude to Ronald for the service he has given to the club over the past 16 months".

The Toffees are 18th in the Premier League and have won just two of their nine league games this season.

I still think clubs panic and sack way too early, but it is understandable.

And Dyche is favourite to take over it seems. Not happy at this. Love Dyche. Hoping that we offer him a new contract.

Dele Alli is a fucking joke. Absolute quality player, yet we've heard for a few years now that "he's not that type of player" after a red card for a bad tackle, yet constantly does it. Only took him a few minutes today to do one of his dirty tackles. Although it looked worse live. And I hope he gets picked up by the diving panel for his penalty he won as from where I sat it looked like he jumped over the leg, and having just watched replays on match of the day, I still think he jumped (although it was jumping into the leg). Fantastic player, but he's a disgrace. Kane is pure quality though.

I'm happy overall so far with this season.

Swansea are still struggling. Clement is gone, managers being thrown around to replace him include: De Boer, Bilic, Koeman, Martinez (after the World Cup, interim in the meantime), van Gaal.

But this is all hearsay for now. Either way, we need a new manager and fast and they need money in January or we're fucked.

Two important things this week.

Swansea have a new manager, and it's a bit of a joke. A manager that was sacked not long ago from a Championship club. You'd have thought that they could do better than him. A lot better... I guess that means they're not spending anything in January since he only has a contract until the end of the season.

And Liverpool have blown £75m on a defender. One that isn't worth anywhere near that much... but this is Liverpool who have a history of over paying for players. Also wonder when Southampton will stop being a feeder club for them.

Well, I know the board have a say in what players we buy so the manager doesn't necessarily reflect the transfers. Although don't get me wrong, I think this is a poor appointment. Looking at his history, 90% of his jobs have lasted 1 season or less. We are basically resigned to the fact we're going down and this manager is just preparing us for that. I am usually very positive with the Swans and I'll always support them but they are not making it easy.

Try supporting Newcastle. They make it had to stay positive and support. Although hopefully we'll get some new owners real soon and the club can stop being a mess.

As for Swansea... I genuinely am surprised that you couldn't get in better than Carlos Carvalhal. I'd be pissed if Newcastle appointed someone like him - like when we appointed Joe Kinear.

Personally, I think we should have re-employed Garry Monk. I always thought it was harsh to sack him and ever since we did, we've never recovered - and he became available a few days ago.

Monk is free now as well, isn't he? Got sacked despite winning because they didn't like his style of play. Then they went and appointed Pulis to replace him. I actually LOL'd at that when I read it. Sacked for style of play, then appointed someone like Pulis to replace. Is his style of play better than Monks? I really don't think it is.

It's been a great season for Burnley 😄

Some off managerial sackings at the end of the season though. Big Sam has been sacked from Everton, despite taking them from a team looking certain to be in the relegation mix to 8th. Moyes has been sacked despite also saving West Ham. And today Carvalhal has been sacked by Swansea, which I'm actually disappointed in as I actually ended up liking him. He was an odd choice, almost like Swansea were expecting relegation, but he was a fun manager and got some good results. I ended up liking him. Definitely should have been given another season imo, especially considering he was their 5th permanent manager in just 2 years.

EDIT: Lambert has just left Stoke. So that's four out of 20 gone this week.

I was happy with Newcastle. Avoided the relegation battle with a few games to spare which meant I could enjoy the last few games.

I can't talk about Swansea. It hurts too much.

Can't even laugh because I know how it feels. But hopefully next season will be like how Newcastle's have gone when they've been relegated and you'll be right back up. Heard Laudrup has been linked with a return... That's be good I think.
