At this week's SmackDown in Connecticut, WWE announced to the live crowd that their next show in the state will be the official return of their Bad Blood pay-per-view.
The first Bad Blood pay-per-view took place in 1997 and featured the first-ever Hell In A Cell match, between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. The event returned in 2003 for a Hell In A Cell match between Triple H and Kevin Nash, and again in 2004 for a HIAC match between Triple H and Shawn Michaels. It was a RAW-exclusive show back in '03 and '04.
Bad Blood 2017 will take place on July 9th at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, and will be the first pay-per-view at the XL Center since No Way Out in 2000.

There's your July PPV, Rhys. Bad Blood is coming back.

Now that is a proper old school PPV. I think Bad Blood, I think of watching wrestling that is so pixelated it looks awful on even a 30 inch monitor. Like 280p on YouTube. The resolution that should no longer be allowed. It's old.

Surprised that they're bringing this one back though. Doesn't exactly sound PG. And what is wrong with coming up with new PPV names? Can't be that hard surely. Not that the name overly matters.

When they come up with new names we get shit like Capital Punishment, Bragging Rights and The Bash.

Holy crap I forgot about The Bash. What a shit name that was, and PPV. Bragging Rights... don't even get me started on that.

It's not difficult to come up with new PPV names... unless you're WWE it seems.
