Why shouldn't soundtracks count
Basically, the music has to be original. You can't just pick a game that uses a bunch of popular music as its "soundtrack" it has to be original music specific to that game. Although, if a game has a bunch of original music and also uses one or two popular tracks, that's alright too.
Side note: If there are games you haven't played or music you haven't heard, don't fret. In the actual matchup threads I'll be including music from the games involved so you can listen and judge even if you've never played the games.

I move that we should just give it to WoW and have done with it! Wonderful themes, and quite frankly, great performance. I love the fact that you can actually hear the breathing in the Alto Flute solo in the Suramar zone, you can't fake that!

Greatest Nintendo Game Of All Time: Super Mario World (SNES)
It's time for our new contest, and this time we're going for the Greatest Video Game (Music) Score Of All Time.
This tournament will only have 32 entries, cut down from 64, as I think we can all agree the last contest with 64 in the first round was a bit much. Nominate any game with a music score (8-bit etc is fine, as long as it's actually a melody, and not just random sound effects). It can be from any game, any console, any time, so long as it has a score of more than one piece of music. It should be obvious what qualifies though, so no trolling nominations please.
So I'll leave this open for a week, get as many nominations in as you can.
