They did a lot right with Mr Robot, but I don't know...I've seen Fight Club before. I guess they knew that comparison was coming, they used Where Is My Mind in one of the later episodes.

I'm assuming this isn't on Netflix?

It looks pretty cool. I hate'd Amazon Prime though, was an absolute rip-off. So torrenting it is 🙂
I watched the whole thing on Couchtuner. That's where I get most of my American TV.

Season 2 has finally kicked into gear, 5 episodes in. It's reached the intensity that made the first season so good.
What baffles me is how they bleep out the word, fuck. But are happy to candidly show someone pull out a gun and blow their brains out. And this happened more than once now.

It's an Amazon Prime show. I watched half of season one back-to-back, had to go and do something and then went away for the weekend. Forgot where I was in the show and haven't gone back to it yet because of that. Down to laziness really, but what I'd watched was good.
This show is greatness. It stars Rami Malek who plays Elliot, a cyber hacker who hacks anyone he comes into contact with. He works for a cyber security firm who keeps large conglomerate companies safe from hackers. Unbeknownst to them, he's the one they should be scared of. The large conglomerate E Corp (the E stands for evil and is slanted like the Dell logo) gets hacked and its Elliot's job to stop it. That's where he meets Christian Slater's character Mr Robot and his plan unfolds.
This show isn't only for techies, its very well written and has lots of charachter developments and progression, completely unrelated to the I.T. world. The way it is filmed is very new wave and the music is very much in the vein of Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross. If you've seen films like the Social Network or Gone Girl you will know what I mean. Long swathes of industrial, electronic sounds that pulsate and encapsulate you. As the tension & suspense of the scene divulges deeper, the noise becomes heavier, stronger, smothering you into the shows core.
It aired on the USA network but season one can be seen on Amazon Instant Video.
