It's a real shame this one. Was a good keeper for us and he's made it clear ever since the first time he was with Newcastle that he loved the place and the club - his autobiography is called Pavel is a Geordie. By all accounts, he was a lovely bloke as well.
As a side, I forgot how awful some of our goalkeeper kits have looked. Some are ghastly!
Dude was in an induced coma for a week after a cardiac arrest. The damage from it was irreparable so they let him go.
Always remember him from the crazy kits he wore in the 90's.
